CHAPTER THIRTEEN – CEASE FIRE

Sulli is now done with her layout task and she decided to pause for a while to relax. She then noticed Minho who is staring intently at the paper he’s holding.“Yah! Choi Minho, is that a sanction notice from Ms. Kim?”

“Of course not! I did nothing wrong. Actually this is an article I want to submit for “Seoul Today.” You see, internship is coming to an end and I want to land a job in Seoul Today after graduation.”

Seoul Today is the biggest newspaper publication company in Seoul. All writers and journalists aspire to be in that company.

“Chincha? Do you think you can pass their standards? It’s not as easy as Elle you know.”

“I don’t know actually. That’s why I’m trying to write a sample article that I can pass to them. Elle’s recommendation is not enough.”

“Let me read it.” She snatched the paper into Minho’s hands without his approval.

She’s reading the article when Minho asked her.

“Are you planning to stay here in Elle after graduation?”

“Don’t disturb me. I’m reading”

Cause if you’re staying I’m staying too… he said under his breath

“What did you say?”

“Ani. I didn’t say anything. So, how’s my article?”

“Good. Sharp.” Then she handed back the paper. Truth is she found Minho’s writing skill excellent, amazing, outstanding. He can even replace one senior writer in Seoul Today, but of course hell no she’ll never admit it to him personally.

“I know its not enough. Maybe I’ll pass this to other company just to give this a try.” He said scratching his nape and continued. “Are you going to stay here after graduation?” Minho repeats his question.

“Ani. I don’t think I can.” She sigh and remember the last day’s conversation with his father.

Flashback…

Sulli was about to enter her apartment building when she noticed her father’s secretary outside waiting for her. The president is asking her to come to the office now.

“I want you to learn everything and handle our business as soon as you graduate. I have given you all the time in the world to do what you want including that stupid internship in Elle. Now’s the time to face the reality Sulli.” President Choi said firmly to Sulli in his office.

“Neh, President Choi.” She said. Truth is she doesn’t have interest in business at all but she has no choice. All she wanted is that her appa will be proud of her… someday. She did everything he said; from being a top student, an achiever
