I was walking along the sidewalk. The pavement was wet with small puddles here and there. I jumped over the big puddles and hopped over the small ones. I saw the water spray from the bridge. The colors were beautiful, blue and pink. The colors reminded me of the carnival. There were two people far ahead. They looked like a couple. A boy. A girl.
            “Minhee-yah! Wait for me!” Yonghwa shouted running to catch up to me.
            “Sorry, I got side tracked.”
            “From what?”
            “The water.”
            Yonghwa looked at the water that was spraying from the bridge. He smiled, then I smiled. We walked along the river for a while looking at the scenery. The Han River looked so pretty. I couldn’t help but smile the whole time.
            “Why are you smiling so much? Is it because you’re with me?” Yonghwa winked.
            I scoffed, “No…It’s the river. It’s so pretty. It makes me feel happy.” I smiled again.
            Yonghwa smiled again, which made me smile. I’ve known Yonghwa for a short period of time, but I feel like we have this…connection. You know? Do you ever get that feeling with someone? Yonghwa then asked me what I was thinking about. I told him I was thinking about him. He smiled again. He then asked what about him I was thinking about. I said I was thinking about how long we knew each other and our connection. He nodded. He said he felt the same way. I smiled hearing that. It made me feel like we were confessing our feelings for each other, though, I don’t know my feelings. I think he’s cute, really cute. Heck, even hot. But I don’t know him enough to be in a relationship.
            “I think you’re extraordinary. You’re different.” Yonghwa said. We were still walking along the river.
            I looked at him a bit surprised, “How so?” I responded.  
            “You’re not like most girls. You catch my attention. Ya caught mine when I was singing.”
            I smiled, “And you caught mine with your voice.”
            “Should I sing for you?”
            “Really, you’d sing for me?”
            He nodded and smiled.
            We found a fairly dry spot to sit by the river and sat down. He was silent for a bit. I assume he was thinking of what song to sing. A couple minutes later he started singing.

            I blushed, hearing these words. It was as if I wanted to hear these words all along.

            After he finished singing, I couldn’t help but feel my cheeks heat up. I looked away to try and hide my blushing face. It was sort of dark, that kind of helped me hide my cheeks. I think Yonghwa could tell I was blushing, he chuckled.
            “Are you blushing?”
            “No….”
            “Are you sure?”
            I didn’t say anything. I didn’t know what to say.
            “Did you like the song?”
            I nodded, “Yeah, I did. It was very sweet and heartwarming.” I smiled brightly.
            “Good, I’m glad you like it.” He smiled again.
            We looked out at the river for a bit and just enjoyed the surrounding sounds we heard. People walking, laughing, talking, even birds flying around. It was calming, made me feel safe. After a while of sitting there, I started to get hungry. I rubbed my stomach.
            “Are you hungry?” Yonghwa asked.
            I nodded, “Yeah.”
            “Let’s go eat.” He smiled.
            I looked down and smiled. He reached his hand out to me. I held it and he helped me get up.
            “Where do you wanna eat?” He asked.
            “Mmm…pasta!” I said in English.
            His eyes widened, “Wah! You can speak English! You’re so good!” He was surprised.
            I giggled and nodded. “Yes, I can speak English. I went to school in America for a few years before I came here.”
            “Maybe you can teach me how to speak English.”
            “Anytime, I’m very good. I was also born in America.”
            “Really?! Wow, your history is so cool.”
            “Some of it is, not all of it.”
            He didn’t say anything. I assume he could read my facial expression. I was remembering my childhood with my parents. Yonghwa rubbed my back which took me by surprise.
            “It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me. Only when you’re ready.”
            I smiled. It’s like he understood me and knew what I was thinking. We walked back to the car and went to an Italian restaurant.

            After we had dinner, Yonghwa took me home. We sat outside my apartment for a while talking. We talked about a lot of different things. We laughed and had fun. I kept smiling when we were talking. He had this tone in his voice that just made you want to smile. It’s as if I was under his spell. I looked at him. He looked like he was thinking about something.
            “What are you thinking about?” I asked.
            He turned to look at me, then smiled. “I’m thinking about you.”
            I gave a small smile. “Why?”
            “Because I had such a wonderful day with you. It’s unforgettable.”
            I blushed, “I would say the same thing. Especially since we spent the day with Heeyoung”
            “She was adorable. We should see her again soon.”
            I nodded in excitement. “Yes! We should! I missed her so much after she left.” I pouted.
            Yonghwa smiled. He just looked at me with a calm expression on his face. I looked at him also. We both smiled. He looked at me as if he was mesmerized.
            “Why are you staring at me?”
            “Because I’m admiring you.”
            “Why?”
            “Because you’re too beautiful.”
            Hearing that, made me blush. “I think I better go now.” I gave a soft laugh.
            He nodded, “I’ll walk you in.”
            I nodded. We exited the car and walked inside my apartment building. He walked me up to my door. It took a little long because I live on the sixteenth floor. My building had thirty stories. On our way up, Yonghwa commented on how nice the building was. I told him that it was a new building that was built a few years ago and how I got it for a reasonable price. When we got off the elevator we walked to the end of the hallway, which was where my apartment was. We stood in front of my door for a bit.
            “I hope you had a good time today.” Yonghwa said putting his hands into his pockets.
            I nodded, “I did. It was really fun.” I said with an eye smile.
            “You look so cute when you do that smile.”
            I blushed, “Thank you.” Then smiled.
            “Would you like to go on a date with me again?”
            I acted like I needed to think about it, but I didn’t. I wanted to go on another date with him. Though we only had one, it was really fun—minus the fact that Heeyoung was with us. Yonghwa looked like he was disappointed because I hadn’t answered. I smiled.
            “Yes, I would love to go on another date with you.” I smiled brightly.
            His face brightened up. “Great! I’ll see you again soon?”
            I nodded.
            “Go in first, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Yonghwa said with a small smile.
            I nodded, “Okay, goodnight.”
            “Goodnight.” He waved and smiled. I walked inside and closed my door.
