Chapter 9: A Day at the Theme Park

It is exciting, especially for Hwayoung, Dasom, Sungjong and Feeldog. They are going to the theme park.

“Let’s eat churros!” said Hwayoung excitedly at Dasom. Her friend jumps up and downs hearing about churros.

“Wanna have a race?” asked Feeldog to Sungjong.

Sungjong smiles, “Sure. Loser buys drink.” The two boys knocked knuckles in agreement.

“Listen, go anywhere you want, but be here at 7 pm understood?” reminds Hyosung at the four excited kids.

“Yes ma’am!” the four of them said in sync, putting their hands on their forehead like in the army.

“Good, now run along.” She said and the kids run to the place they want.

Now, it’s just Kikwang and Hyosung standing in the middle of the theme park don’t know what to do or where to go.

Hyosung looks at him. “Do you want to go anywhere?”

He shakes his head doesn’t know what to do.

“You’re coming with me,” she smiles as she drags him away.

Steps are getting heavier as they walk. Since that incident, Nicole can’t stop looking or staring or might start some fairy tale in her own mind. It seems like she has fall in love. This is not the usual Nicole who never took interest in real relationship. For her, love is clothes, where you change every day. But not until what he had done for her.

An hour ago…

“It seems like Hyosung went to the hospital with her dad. She’s not home right now.” She chirped after pretending to read a text and bitterly smiles at Joon.

The man smiles however. “It’s okay, not my luck I guess.”

“Sorry, I suppose to inform her first about our visit but I thought we could surprise her.”

Nicole looks guilty. “It’s okay, that clumsy of you make you cute,” said Mir with a smile.

She shyly smiles though she feels nausea with his words.

“It’s no one faults. Let’s go to the theme park. I can’t let my free time waste off like this.” Joon clasps his hands making things better.

“Sure! Let’s go!” exclaims Nicole happily, walking forward.

The two men followed her with a smile, smiling at her bubbly side.

“Watch out!” they shouted.

A fast car is speeding towards her without she realise, she’s standing on the road. She could see the car couldn’t stop immediately and she was stunned, shutting her eyes tightly as her heart pumps faster.

As the car is nearing, a pair of hands pulled her back to the side of the road into his embraces. The white car kept on speeding while she is now safe with Mir.

“Are you okay?” Joon asked and Mir let her go from his embraces.

She kept quiet, still in shock after that fluid incident. She looks at her saviour.

“Are you okay? That was dangerous.” Mir asked, checking her face in kinda harsh way, tilting it to the side and up to search for any bruises.

L theme park…

It is dark and eerie. Various kinds of weird sounds can be heard. In one corner, they can hear a girl distantly sobbing, white clothes just flew pass by them and suddenly…someone grabs her leg.

“KYAAAAHH!” Hyosung shouted as soon as she feels someone is holding her leg.

They are inside the haunted house. Hyosung jumps up and downs in fear while clutching onto kikwang’s arm. Kikwang could only chuckles at her behaviour. For 15 minutes they’re inside the haunted house, Hyosung been hugging him.

“That was so scary…” said Hyosung panting after they walk out from the haunted house.

Listening to her pant, Kikwang chuckles silently.

“How come you’re not afraid?” she asked after she finally catches her breaths.

“I can’t…” he said pausing his sentence and look at her. “How can I be afraid when you needed protection?”

This stupid heart, why can’t you stop jumping around every time he said something?

“Let’s go…we’ll play something else.” He smiles shyly.
