Wanting to have a simple life away from the stress of running their company because she’s the first born, the eldest of the two daughters of the Wu household, the world as she knows wouldn’t accept a woman to become one of the top leaders, they’d always think that women held no power over businesses. So even if jinlei didn’t want to, She’s forced to marry someone from another company when the right time comes. There, her hopes were reduced into wanting a simple life with whoever her parents found fit for her. And she was obviously drawn to her family friend’s son and practically her first love. Luhan Much to her disappointment, luhan wasn’t into his family’s ty traditions of making him marry someone from their selection of strong candidates to be able to pursue their business empire and if not, make it grow even bigger. But destiny laid out it’s cards and they were destined to share eternity together. Jinlei was happy about the arrangement. How about Luhan?

Foreword
“Prologue”
“I’m hoooome~” Jinlei said in a sing song voice as she ran to her eomma and back hugged Mrs. Hyun.
“What’s the occasion?” her mom was shocked with her sudden sweetness.
“It’s our anniversary!” she squealed and did a mini twirl which made her younger sister giggle.
“What anniversary are you talking about? I don’t remember you being with anyone ei?” her mom almost dropped the sewing kit she was holding.
“Unnie and her LUHAAAAAN~” Hyui, her younger sister muttered cutely while puffing her cheeks and puckering her lips, waiting for her older sister’s kiss which Jin immediately gave.
Her mother rolled her eyes and went back to her embroidery. Sora decided to climb back to her room and spazz about Luhan all night. And once she was on her room, she tweeted relentlessly to Luhan hoping that her oppa would reply. She zealously greeted “happy anniversary” in all her social networking sites and when exhaustion hits her, she finally retreated to her bed. Tired as she was, she wanted to close her eye and sleep but her butler went in and told her that dinner was ready. The helpless young lady forced her way downstairs.
“Why are you wasting your time on such things?” her mom spat and she immediately knew what her mom was talking about.
“I’m not wasting TIME” she retorted as she absentmindedly poked and played with her steak.
“Wu JinLei, You need to find a husband”. Her mom said with a serious tone.
“I know that you’re about to arrange my marriage to some ugly business tycoon’s son but I’m only 16!! Seriously.” She tried to reason out but her mother shut her off completely.
“Tomorrow you’ll meet him”. Her mom said with finality as she ate in silence once again.
Annoyance was evident on her face, JinLei disregarded her manners as she stood and ran to her other room. The room at the attic.
JinLei stared blankly at Luhan’s dimly lit portrait. The attic had something about it that always calmed her in her most depressing days. “not today”. She thought to herself.
“Oppa I won’t be married if it’s not you”. A tear escaped her eye as she plopped herself on her plush bed. She practically cried herself to sleep that night. She knew the responsibility of being an heir to their business as a first born child but up to now. She cant grasp the whole idea of having to be married at an early age, let alone being married into someone that she doesn’t love. JinLei has been inlove for a family friend of them-Luhan, they grew up together but they never really knew each other. Luhan knew everything about her but she didn’t know anything about him except his name and that he hated bugs. The thought of them ending up together eased her pain a little but as soon as she heard that he wasn’t interested in his family business, her world shattered. It meant that he didn’t want to be the heir and that the possibility of them ending up together vanished.
Rays of sunlight streaming down her face woke Jin up, she opened her eyes and stared at the enormous mirror in front of her bed. She stared at the girl with thick yet soft chocolate brown curls that reaches down to her waist. Her mom told her to cut it to a considerable length but she was too stubborn to let her mom control her life. She didn’t want restrain. She wants freedom. Jin noticed that her blue eyes were puffy because of crying the whole night. She hated whenever this happens. She pouted unconsciously upon inspection of the puffy eyes. She walked lazily to her bedside table for her brush but she stopped when she saw a pretty pink note that rested on top of a dress box. The note reads
“My dear child, the company’s future and pride now rests in your hands. Talk to Mr. Jung he will know where to take you. And please be mindful of your actions young lady- Appa”.
Jinlei tossed the card aside. She never really got along with her dad and the card worsen the situation. No words of encouragement, just pressure. Lots of pressure. Jin stopped her babble as she took out the dress. It was white and it was simple yet elegant at the same time, the dress was inlaid with mother of pearls and black Swarovski on the bodice. Jinlei despite having almost every type of dress appreciated it.
She politely thanked her butler as she got off the car and eneterd the mansion. This is it. The house of some ugly bastard that will soon be his husband. Jinlei mentally sighed at the thought.
I don’t want to be married to someone that I do not know!” Luhan groaned in frustration while his father was talking.
“Shut up or I’ll cut all your connections to EXO and you will be the loneliest man in the planet.” His father left him alone to prepare. He heard that the girl already arrived but he didn’t care.
“She’s lady like isn’t she?” Mrs. Lu said as she and a maid quietly observed Jinlei at a distance.
“Waiting like that, she must be tired, call that boy NOW”. She continued.
The door opened and Jinlei couldn’t believe her eyes. She even mentally hit herself just incase this is a dream. She was staring at an angel, that moment he laid his eyes on her all the grudges and resentment she had, faded…Little did she knew that this meeting would change her life forever
