Holding All The Cards

No way! I am straight...right?

Gayoon looked over at the photos that Lee Joon had taken, her eyes widening. She gingerly picked them up one by one, her expression unreadable. Her lips gaped open and close like a goldfish, and she looked at Lee Joon, who slowly nodded.

"I-I took them without a thought, I-I," Joon mentally smacked himself for stuttering so much. What was wrong with him? The usual cocky self of him was nowhere to be seen. He felt his stomach sink when Gayoon suddenly cackled, drawing attention from other people in the cafe that were seated around them. Her eyes twinkled delightedly, and she clapped Joon on the back heartily.

"I knew asking you for help was the smartest choice ever. You always had the best thing to offer," Gayoon smiled. She glanced over the scandalous photos again.

Photos of Doojoon and Yoseob kissing. This was better than she had expected. She drew her fingers over the copies delicately, but paused when they reached Yoseob's face. She smirked as she scratched the area repeatedly until the film came out.

"That ," she breathed. "No wonder he was so reluctant on accepting my offer. He was sleeping around with this little boy after all..."

She stopped herself, and plucked off the film that came off from under her manicured nails. She picked up the photos and gave them to Joon again, who looked at her questioningly.

"Keep them, I will call Doojoon out later to confront him again," Joon's eyes widened as Gayoon smirked.

"That Doojoon better watch out now..."

-----

"Kang Daesung is innocent, and no charges will be held against him,"

Doojoon managed to breathe as the results were announced, and Daesung who was sitting next to him started to sob in relief, turning to clutch onto Doojoon as he sobbed.

The judge continued, "The autopsy results have shown that the victim of the car accident was already dead before Mr. Kang's accident with him, and we have managed to conclude that he was involved in a hit and run accident before Mr. Kang came into the picture.

The person who was involved has not been identified yet, but we will carry out the necessary investigations. As of now, Mr. Kang will be free of all charges."

The sound of the gravel being hit echoed through the courtroom and the crowd and jury were dismissed. The Big Bang members as well as Daesung's family, who were dressed in formal attire, came over to comfort the said person. Daesung however, shook his head and ran over to the motorcyclist's family, who were solemn at the opposite side of the room.

He did a ninety degrees bow and apologized over and over for their loss, feeling guilty that though he was innocent, the family still had to suffer a loss. A young man, the motorcyclist's brother, walked over to Daesung's side and  and gestured for him to look up again.

"It's alright Daesung sshi. We had never hated you in the first place, and although we are sad for Minhyuk's death as well..." Daesung straightened his back again and saw that there were unshed tears in his eyes.

"We just hope that the person who did wrong would be brought to justice,"

Daesung nodded, and clasped his hands gratefully. No words could express his gratitude towards the young man's family. He would help to, in finding the person responsible for this.

Doojoon looked at the scene, and he couldn't help but clench his teeth tightly. Was Gayoon really the one responsible for all this?

-----

Yoseob glanced over at Doojoon, who was busy working at his desk, head buried over the piles and piles of reports to be filled and completed. He had decided to stay near his boyfriend and give him support, instead of just resting at the dorm with his friends. Doojoon appreciated the company more than ever, as it really was hard dealing with everything himself.  As Yoseob punched holes into yet another stack of paper and filed them, he silently inched from the desk and out of the office, and trust Doojoon to be so focused on his work that he didn't notice.

Not until he smelled the faint aroma of soup did he stop to look up. Yoseob had ran to an old ahjumma's stall downstairs, and ordered a few servings of dumplings and miso soup. He placed it on the rectangular glass coffee table in the middle of the office and dragged Doojoon over for a break.

"Come on, you deserve a break, you have been working way too hard these days," Yoseob said as he placed chopsticks in Doojoon's hands. Doojoon looked as Yoseob fumbled to get the soup out of the plastic bag, amused. He continued to stare as Yoseob started to eat his own share of the dumplings.

Sensing Doojoon not eating, Yoseob's eyes got wide. "Are you allergic to the stuff in the dumplings?" Doojoon chuckled and shook his head, wondering how absolutely adorable his boyfriend could get sometimes. He opened his mouth and leaned close to Yoseob.

"Not unless you feed me," he teased. Yoseob flushed a dark red and shoved Doojoon's arm, embarrassed. Doojoon pouted and Yoseob blushed even more. He pointed towards his open mouth and to the dumpling between Yoseob's chopsticks.

"You said yourself, I have been working too hard these days, reward me," Doojoon smirked. His heart lifted as he saw Yoseob finally give in and held the dumpling in front of his mouth.

Doojoon playfully chomped on it and grinned as he chewed, but not hesitating to place a quick kiss on Yoseob's cheek before he turned his attention to the food. Yoseob froze, chopsticks still in mid-air. Leaving Yoseob like that for a while, Doojoon focused on eating instead, gulping down the soup and stuffing himself full of dumplings.

Yoseob shook himself awake and silently ate, his cheeks tinted with pink. He excused himself to go to the toilet for a while, and the moment he left the office, Doojoon guffawed. He could get used to seeing that priceless expression on little Yoseobbie's face. He shook his head, wondering how he could ever not notice his boyfriend's cuteness before.

His phone beeped on the desk, signalling a message came. He was still grinning as he checked his message, but his eyes grew wide as he scanned through the content. What hold he had on his chopsticks loosened and they fell to the ground, uncared for.

"Doojoon?" Doojoon hurried to lock his iPhone's screen as Yoseob walked into the office, face still flushed. Apparently he had gone to wash his face, judging from the beads of water still dripping down the side.

"Are you going to finish the dumplings? Because I..." Yoseob's eyes flickered to the pair of chopsticks laying on the ground. "Are you okay?" he asked, stepping towards Doojoon.

"Y-yes! There is nothing to worry about, I-I am perfectly fine," Doojoon chuckled and slipped his phone into his pocket as Yoseob walked closer. He rearranged his expression, hoping Yoseob couldn't tell that his smile was fake. Yoseob blinked, suspicious, but after a while he bought it and shrugged. Doojoon heaved a sigh of relief and watched as Yoseob collected the empty plastic containers on the coffee table to throw. Doojoon bit his lip and took out his phone again, eyebrows furrowing as he re-read the message.

From: Gayoon

Meet me at the usual cafe outside SM's building at 3 p.m. and bring that of a boyfriend of yours. Avoid this and I won't be the only one who will know mr Big-Shot of Cube likes .

Doojoon fist clenched around his phone. How the hell did Gayoon come to know about Yoseob? This...he looked at the clock and realized it was already 2.30 p.m. He grabbed his jacket hanging off his chair and walked briskly towards the door.

His eyes widened as he saw Yoseob come in again. "Doojoon? Are you going somewhere?"

Doojoon smiled and said, "Yes, I am going to meet up with some people with concerns to Cube's management, private stuff," he knew fully well that there was no way he could ever bring Yoseob along with him.

Yoseob nodded, expressing his understanding. He bid Doojoon goodbye, but not before giving him a shy kiss on the cheek. Yoseob blushed when Doojoon looked at him, amused, and said, "Just my way of giving you a small 'hwaiting' before you leave,"

Doojoon chuckled and hugged Yoseob, feeling blessed. His boyfriend was way too cute. His heart thumped as their bodies came into close contact, but he couldn't help but feel uneasy for what was going to come next.

-----

Lee Joon's fingers wrapped tightly around the envelope containing the pictures. Gayoon had instructed him to make one copy, and one copy only, of each picture taken. It turns out Gayoon had a proposition to Doojoon. If he were to agree, she would keep her side of the promise and dispose of all the pictures.

Joon should be feeling elated now that he was finally getting revenge at Doojoon, but he wasn't. He hadn't expected things to blow up to this extent. Back when he agreed to help Gayoon, he was expecting to hurt Doojoon just a little, but never would he have suspected Gayoon to have planned so many things.

The car accident...Jiyong's scandal...Joon's knuckles went white as he bit his lip. Those things weren't coincidences.

This was huge too. Imagine finding out the CEO of Cube's ual orientation. Doojoon wasn't only a CEO, he was a producer as well, and worked with many bands. What kind of rumors would arise when they knew he was gay? The ridiculous things netizens would come up with after they knew.

The usual cocky, strong and uncaring demeanor of Lee Joon was gone now. What was left of him was this pathetic, foolish kid, someone who could possibly be ruining the lives of the people close to him. For absolutely no reason at all.

This wasn't the right thing to do...anyone could see that.

Joon lowered his head into his hands, frustrated and not knowing what to do.

"Hey," Lee Joon jumped as a hand was placed on his shoulder. He turned to see Doojoon standing behind him, looking awfully suspicious. "Why are you-"

"Oh, I see both of you are on time," a voice cut in before Joon could say anything at all.

Gayoon smirked, surveying the scene before her. "Your boyfriend...?"

"I have no idea what you are talking about, Gayoon," Doojoon said in a clipped tone, praying that nothing gave away the fear he had in his voice.

"Oh really?" Gayoon laughed loftily, her eyes twinkling. "We will see about that..."

------

Doojoon sat across Joon and Gayoon in the cafe booth, absolutely livid. What fear in him had morphed into a unspeakable rage. They had chosen a booth at the corner of the cafe, dark and hiden from prying eyes in case anyone was curious.

Doojoon glared at Joon, the veins in his head threatening to burst at any moment.

With shaking hand, he fumbled through the pictures, over and over again. They were taken that day, when he and Yoseob were at the stairwell. How could he have not noticed a presence? He wanted so much to rip the pictures in his hand, but he didn't know if Gayoon had more of them as back-up, and if she was angry, who knows what she would do then.

Doojoon gripped at his dark locks, seething. He was surprised. He had never expected Joon to be in on this.

"Why?" he whispered at Joon, he voice trembling just a bit. Joon gulped and gazed at his knees, and was about to answer when Gayoon raised her hand in impatience.

"Excuse me, sorry if you guys have problems among yourselves, please solve them somewhere else. Now, however, Doojoon, if you don't want these pictures to get out, stop talking,"

Doojoon bit his bottom lip, but saw that he didn't really have a choice.

"I am going to be as straightforward as possible. Doojoon, the marriage proposal."

Doojoon slammed the table, and caused people in the cafe to look up and stare at their table. Gayoon coldly glared at the people staring, which made many of them hurriedly look away again. Another messy break-up scene, they probably thought.

"I don't know why you are doing this Gayoon," Doojoon said through clenched teeth, trying to control his anger. "I don't love you and if we were to marry, it wouldn't be good for either of us, please, if you want to blackmail me with this, please choose something else, because I really can't got through this marriage if it were to be real,"

Gayoon surveyed Doojoon with large, innocent eyes. "But I love you Doojoon, and we used to love each other so much before. I am sure if we were to date again, you would come to think like me too..."

Seeing no reaction from Doojoon, she continued.

"And I don't think you really have a choice Doojoon...I hold all the cards."
