My Dear LucyOnce you invited Kai in, you could feel yourself feel hot. But there was something else. You didn't understand why he's so nice all of a sudden again. At the school's front gates, he was so cruel to you. Just about a minute ago he was at your doorstep waiting for you to come home.
Kai interrupted your thoughts when he spoke. "Are you going to need help doing your homwork?"
You sat down on the couch, Kai did the same. "Um, no that's fine." Word was that Kai didn't get good grades. If you were to get lesson from him, you were sure you were going to fail. "Thanks though."
"No no," he said. "Just trying to help." He sat straight with his hands rubbing against his thighs. It was as if he was nervous.
Silence filled the room, and you were hoping Choco would bark but sadly he was asleep already. This was your cue.
You need to say something, Lucy. Speak up!
"Kai, I would like to ask you something."
This was it.
You searched his face to see if he was listening. He looked at you with his gorgerous eye smile. "I've always wanted to know..," you gulped. "What's the real reason why you hate me?"
You glanced at him to see his reaction to you question. Kai looked down and smiled, then looked up at the ceiling. He took a big breath before answering. "I don't hate you, Lucy." He turned to stare at you deep in the eye. "Life isn't easy for me either."
