Lucy could not sleep. Having Kai sleep in her house was something she couldn't block out from her mind. She lay there in her bed looking up at the ceiling wondering if Kai was asleep peacefully.

Kai tossed and the couch. He couldn't sleep. The couch was uncomfortable and he almost regretted not taking her offer.

Almost.

He thought about what might've happened if he did say yes to sleeping on her bed. It would be impossible not to stare at her face, but it was also just another reason to stay awake just like he is now.

He didn't understand what got to him. He didn't understand at all why he was suddenly feeling this was towards Lucy. The way she said his name..It triggered this feeling. Just a few days ago, he was always bullying her and now he's in her house protecting her. 

Jongin thought about her again, and hoped she was having a dream that was as beautiful as she was.

As they both finally drifted of too sleep, it never ocurred to any of them that Taemin never crossed their minds.

Jongin woke up early to make Lucy a fruit smoothie in the morning. It wasn't Jongin's usual breakfeast but fruit was all Lucy had in her fridge. 

As he the blender he saw Lucy emerge from her bedroom in her uniform. He tried to control of his thought but he couldn't.

How could he not have noticed how cute and adorable she looked in uniform? The way he black socks went up to her knee, her sweater was buttoned, her skirt looked just her size, and the way she styled the bow into her hair. She was..beautiful.

"You're making a smoothie? For breakfeast?" Lucy asked. She reached for two empty cups from the top shelf.

Jongin shut on the machine. "You had nothing else in your fridge. I thought you would like this instead of eating cereal.."

"I do!" she exclaimed. She looked down as her face grew warm. "It's something different..And it'll fill me up."

He poured in the liquid and handed it her. Her finger brushed against his slightly making him almost lose grip of the cup. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine."
