Third Part

In the end Jong In and Se Hun managed to finish the game by killing the remaining opponents and snatch the in for Team A.

After all the activities the day was coming to an end. All the students were tired. It was showering time. The public showers were full with girls and boys (obviously separated) from the 12^th grade.

The popular group all had fun that day, specially Lu Han and Hwa Young who kept teasing and playing around with each other, even if they were from opponent teams in the games. They would always get teased about acting like a couple sometimes, at that they would blush and deny the fact quickly.

Lu Han got out of the male part of the showers and left to his tent with his towel and showering products. He had his hair messily wet as he arrived at the tent he shared with Se Hun. Hwa Young also finished showering and after she got dressed she also left the public showers as it seemed a sauna inside and it was too packed with people.

“Already here?” Lu Han asked while he tried to take the major amount of water in his hair with the towel as he saw Hwa Young coming his way. “Hum hum. There are too many girls inside and it’s freaking hot.” Hwa Young made a face and Lu Han chuckled. After he was done, he went inside the tent, grabbed his notebook and noted down.

“Dislikes:

Places with too much people + with a hot temperature (ex: sauna);”

He had a bunch of points above the one he had just added. He closed his notebook and searched for his camera. Once he found it, he turned it on and walked out of the tent. “Today we played paintball. It was very fun.” he filmed himself as he walked towards Hwa Young tent. “It was fun because I got to kills Hwa Young.” he smiled as he knew his best friend would protest against it right away. As if guessing it right Hwa Young turned to him and protested, “You only killed me because Eun Kyo made sure to leave her gun behind and I had to go get it for her. I would have killed you first if it wasn’t that slight mistake.” she defended herself. Lu Han laughed and shook his head at the stubborn Hwa Young, who wouldn’t accept that Lu Han was better than her at paintball.

“Come inside.” Hwa Young waved her hand at Lu Han. He accepted her offer right away and sat beside her, inside her tent. “How about Eun Kyo?” Lu Han asked. “I don’t think she’ll come so soon.” she pointed at the bright and happy Eun Kyo running away from Baek Hyun who had a hose pointed at her. The two best friends softened at seeing that sight.

They kept watching the love birds playing around with water outside as a teacher came to them. She scolded the two for playing around carelessly with the water and demanded them to go shower. They apologetically bowed to the teacher and went to the public showers with wide smiles on their faces.

Hwa Young and Lu Han chuckled at couple from a far. Lu Han had his camera pointed at the two. “I bet they really like each other.” Hwa Young looked at Lu Han and nodded in agreement. “Oh but don’t feel jealous. I like you.” Hwa Young pinched Lu Han’s cheeks.

Lu Han blinked at the sudden touch but quickly reacted to it. He reached for Hwa Young’s cheek and with one hand pinched her right cheek as he was holding his camera with the other hand. “I like you too.” Hwa Young quickly slapped his hand, “Yah that hurts!” Lu Han frowned, “I thought you liked skinship.” she rolled her eyes, “I do, but you pinched too hard. Now I’m going to have a bruise.” she massaged her cheek.

Lu Han grinned and spoke, “Oh poor you. Let me heal you then.” He leaned forward and gave her a peck on the place he had pinched Hwa Young. “What a baby.” He couldn’t help but tease. Hwa Young’s mouth formed an ‘o’ as she got shocked by her friend’s statement. How could he? What an outrage!

She managed to keep her serious face, but not for long as a smile spread on her face while she jokingly held Lu Han’s neck and shook him. They both laughed. Se Hun was coming back from the public showers eyed the two. He knew that there was something more between them than only a great friendship. From what he knew about Lu Han, he would not realize his feelings any time soon, but Se Hun knew his friend had other feelings for Hwa Young and he pretended to help him with the matter.

“Jesus, I only went to shower and you’re already there? You sure don’t like me.” Se Hun stopped in front of Hwa Young’s tent. She let go of Lu Han’s neck and replied to Se Hun, “You’re just jealous he likes me more than you.” she stuck her tongue out at Se Hun. He looked at her with an arched eye brow, “Pfff yeah right. Who says it?” Se Hun was just going to hit the weak point. “Lu Han says it!” Hwa Young diverted her gaze to Lu Han expecting a nod or a confirmation.

Lu Han eyed the both of them and then spoke, “Sorry Se Hun.” he apologetically looked at the younger. That was when Se Hun had the confirmation to his thoughts. “Can I give you a word?” Se Hun pretended to be a bit angered and once Lu Han nodded he went to their tent. Lu Han turned off the camera and got up, “I guess he’s mad.” Hwa Young pouted and shrugged at his obvious remark and minded her own business.

After entering in his and Se Hun’s tent Lu Han asked, “Are you mad at me?” expecting the other to say yes. “No.” Se Hun shortly answered as he tidied his showering products and towel. “So why did you look so angry just a few minutes ago?” Lu Han didn’t understand. Se Hun sighed. “Do you like Hwa Young?” he went straight to the point. Taken aback Lu Han blinked at the question. “Of course I like her, she’s my best friend.” he reasoned. “No, I mean, in other aspect. Do you see her as other than friend?” Se Hun predicted his friend to say no and he was right. “No. We’re really close, so maybe that’s why sometimes we look like a couple.” Lu Han shook his head, denying the fact that he could possibly be in love with his best friend.

“I think I really need to open up your eyes or else you’re going to lose your best chance forever.” Se Hun was worried that Lu Han wouldn’t be able to see his true feelings and end up losing his best friend to another man.

“What are you talking about?” Lu Han was starting to get a bit annoyed. Se Hun shook his head as he smiled to himself. “You two really can’t see it but everyone else around you had already realized that what’s between you and Hwa Young isn’t only a friendship but something more. I just wanted you to realize that and act faster or else you won’t be able to get her heart.” Se Hun left the tent and went to look for Kai, as Lu Han stood there alone thinking on what his friend had said to him.

Night came and the students all gathered together and sat in a circle, around a fire. They sang some songs and shared some stories. However not all were with their mind in the place. Lu Han couldn’t stop thinking of what Se Hun had said to him back in the tent. Once in a while Lu Han would glance at Hwa Young and she would smile brightly at him.

When it was time to go to the tents, all the students protested but they had no other choice but to obey the teachers. 

Fourth Part

Hwa Young and Eun Kyo had already changed to their pajamas and were still with the flash light on, when a teacher passed by and told me to go to sleep. They turned off the flashlight and Hwa Young whispered, “How are we going to do? Ugh. I hate not having my cellphone with me.” she protested at the teachers who had taken the students' phones.

They took the phones away because they said that the camping was supposed to be a trip related to nature and it would be better to not be close with any electronic object. Except they let Lu Han walk around with his camera because in that way, he would serve the school with good material about the trip and camping.

“There’s no way we can’t change tents. We don’t have cellphones to text the boys and there’s always a teacher watching outside.” Eun Kyo pointed out. Hwa Young sighed. “I’ll go first and then each one will have to manage the situation by themselves.” she said as she prepared herself to leave the tent. “How?” Eun Kyo panicked. Hwa Young rolled her eyes and shrugged. “You’ll get caught by the teacher.” Eun Kyo kept trembling as if it was her problem.

“Thanks so much for your support, hum. What a great friend.” Hwa Young muttered the last part. She then ped the tent and carefully peeked outside. She saw no hint of the teacher who was keeping an eye on the tents for the night and ped the whole kind of “door”, of the tent. She stepped outside and tip-toed towards Lu Han’s and Se Hun’s tent. She heard no movement inside. “Psssh. Let me in.” Hwa Young whispered and waited for a response as she repeatedly glanced everywhere to make sure the teacher wasn’t close.

She got no answer. “Pssssshh. Are you sleeping you brats?” she hissed a bit louder so they could hear. As she didn’t get an answer again, she rolled her eyes and tapped her foot. She sighed in annoyance. “Lu Han!” she called still hissing.

Suddenly a light caught her attention. She looked at the light and it only meant one thing: the teacher was coming back. She widened and made a face as if she was screwed up. “Lu Han, Se Hun open this damn thing right now you idiots!” Hwa Young started hitting the tent almost getting in panic.

They finally heard and ped the “entrance”. She kind of threw herself inside the tent and Se Hun zipped it in time as, as soon as he finished zipping and laid down again the light of the teacher’s flashlight pointed to their tent.

Hwa Young who had “landed” in the middle of Se Hun and Lu Han Stood still and sustained her breathing until the light was no longer pointing to their tent. Once it had gone away they sighed in relief. “It was close.” Lu Han whispered. Hwa Young sat up and turned to him with an angry expression. “In what were you thinking? We’ve had agreed to change tents tonight and you were sleeping? I could have been caught you know.” she threw him an accusing look. “I’m sorry.” Lu Han apologized.

Se Hun stood there watching the two fighting. He rolled his eyes and prepared himself to leave the tent. Once he finished preparing he spoke, “Well, I’ll leave you two alone so you can quarrel like couples do. Have a good night.” he then made his leave to Jong In’s and Kyung Soo’s tent, to which Sae Ra would also go as she would be left alone in her tent. Han Na would go to Chan Yeol’s tent and Baek Hyun would go meet Eun Kyo at hers.

They all successfully changed tents and got ready to spend the night with their “loved ones”. Hwa Young had slipped into Se Hun’s sleeping bag and was comfortably speaking with Lu Han. “If we get caught tomorrow, I don’t even want to know what’s going to happen.” She worriedly looked at the ceiling.

Lu Han had his head supported by his hand. He was looking at Hwa Young and minding his own thoughts. He kept his eyes on her and Se Hun’s words couldn’t get out of his mind. *What’s between you and Hwa Young isn’t only a friendship but something more.* that phrase really bugged his mind. Was there really something more or was it just a friendship like others?

“Yah!” Hwa Young poked Lu Han’s head knocking him out of his thoughts. “I was asking you, would you do everything for me?” Hwa Young diverted her gaze to the tent’s ceiling again. Lu Han was taken aback with her question. Why in the world was she asking that now? He reflected a bit, but it didn’t take long until he answered. “Everything.” he shortly answered not leaving her sight. ”Why are you asking that?” he raised an eyebrow. “Nothing. Just wanted to know.” Hwa Young shrugged and closed her eyes for a moment.

He changed his position and was now facing the ceiling too. “Would you … do everything for me too?” Lu Han asked as he jerked his head to Hwa Young’s side, to make sure she was still awake. “Everything.” she answered the same not opening her eyes. It made him somewhat relieved that his best friend would do everything for him. The complicity between the two was bigger than any other and they would be willing to even lose their lives for each other.

Lu Han for some reason couldn’t fall asleep. His mind full of questions kept him awake. *Maybe I do like her.* he thought even if he didn’t want to admit it. He then remembered that he had a notebook with full pages about Hwa Young. He wrote there her likes, dislikes, facts and habits. He grabbed his camera and started watching some random videos he had recorded. Many of them were about he and Hwa Young playing around or even simply talking about something. There were some which were only with Hwa Young. He watched them attentively and his questions started to get their answers.

He did like her more than a friend. After all, no one would have a notebook full of things about his best friend; no one would have many videos of his best friend without even realizing and no one would simply just do everything for his best friend.

Finally he agreed with Se Hun. Everything made sense now and he was able to admit his long hidden feelings.

When he noticed that Hwa Young was already sleeping, he leaned forward and pecked her forehead, contemplating her angel-like sleeping figure. He closed his eyes and fell asleep also.

The sound of a military bugle was heard making every student wake up. The teachers started waking up students by screaming and eating their tents as if they were in the military service.

Lu Han was comfortably sleeping with his back turned to Hwa Young, when a teacher had woken him up. He opened his eyes and moved a bit only to a find that he was trapped. Hwa Young had an arm around his waist and was almost glued to Lu Han. Her head was almost touching his back and when he tried to get up, she tightened her grip around him.

At that Lu Han couldn’t help but feel his body heating and getting slightly nervous and red. He reached for Hwa Young’s hand and grabbed it. He had held her hand so many times that he hadn’t realized how soft it was. He removed her arm away and got up cautiously so Hwa Young wouldn’t wake up.

He heard the teachers call from outside one last time and rolled his eyes. He looked at Hwa Young. He couldn’t let her sleep more or else the teachers would go check and then she would receive punishment.

He softly called her name in hopes she would open her eyes, but he wasn’t lucky. He called again and gave her a little shake. Finally she seemed to be waking up. She rubbed her eyes and with her sleepy face she asked. ”Is it morning already?” she yawned not wanting to open her eyes as they were half opened. Lu Han chuckled and nodded. “Yes it is. The teachers called the last time already. We must get out.” he said, knowing that his best friend would protest against.

“Aahhhh no. I don’t want to.” Hwa Young laid down again. “Come on. There’s a yummy breakfast waiting for you in the canteen.” Lu Han tickled her bare foot and she quickly moved it away. “Alright, alright, I’ll get up but no tickling.” she pointed a finger at Lu Han who was mischievously grinning at her.

After a carefully checking if there was any teacher at sight, Hwa Young and Lu Han left the tent still in their pajamas like the other students. At the same time were the other couples leaving the tents too.

“So how was last night?”  Eun Kyo approached Hwa Young and Lu Han with Baek Hyun by her side. “Hum, good. I guess.” Hwa Young shrugged. She and Lu Han had only chatted for a bit and then both had drifted to sleep.

“And you?” Hwa Young asked still not fully awaked. “Hum sorry guys. Girls talk.” Eun Kyo waved at Lu Han and Baek Hyun and pushed Hwa Young along with her as she walked further from the boys. “What was that for?” Hwa Young rubbed her right. “I have something to tell you.” Eun Kyo both eagerly and nervously stood in front of her best friend. “What?” the other asked with an uninterested tone.

“I … No. He ….” she couldn’t speak straight with so much anxiety. “Spill it out for once.” Hwa Young hurried her to talk. “I and Baek Hyun kissed last night.” Eun Kyo spoke as fast as she could so it wouldn’t be so difficult to say it. “Cool.” Hwa Young fast answered as she hadn’t heard quite well her friend. “Wait! What?” when she was able to process every word Eun Kyo had said she instantly became wide awake.

For some moments Hwa Young got surprised but soon a smile appeared on her face as she knew her friend liked Baek Hyun since long ago and that he liked her also. She pulled Eun Kyo into a hug and congratulated her. “I’m so happy. It was taking too long to happen, let me be honest. Wait a minute … nothing happened aside from the kiss, right?” she released from the hug and looked at her with a suspicious look.. “Thanks. And oh lord, of course not! Those things are only after marriage.” at her statement Hwa Young couldn’t help but laugh.

The two then made their way towards the canteen to have breakfast and got ready for the activities the teachers had prepared for them.

The activity for the day would be doing volunteer work at a farm near the camping site. The students would have to help cleaning the animal’s place, help gardening and with some other stuff.

On the way to the farm, Lu Han was unusually quiet. He had told Se Hun about his feelings towards you, although it wasn’t something Se Hun didn’t know already. He kept receiving signals from Se Hun for him to confess. Lu Han just ignored him and continued with whatever he would be doing at the moment.

However Hwa Young noticed her best friend’s odd behavior. It wasn’t like him to be that quiet. “What’s wrong with you today?” she elbowed him as he was filming the arrival at the farm. “Nothing. Why you ask?” he asked not looking at her. “You’re too quiet. I don’t like it when you’re like this. It sends me a bad vibe.” Hwa Young pouted worried about him. “Everything’s alright. Don’t worry.” he gave her a small smiled and concentrated on the filming again.

The day went on with lots of hard work from the students and it was now time to return to the camping site.

They were all tired and some even had slept on the bus while leaving the farm. Lu Han wasn’t one of those though. He had asked Hwa Young if he could go sat next to Se Hun on the bus that time. She hesitated a bit but nodded.

“You know that Hwa Young’s birthday is already after tomorrow.” Se Hun pointed out randomly but with an intension. Lu Han kept looking through the bus window and nodded. “I know.” How could he not know? He was her best friend, he would never forget her birthday. “Do you know what you could give her as a present?” Lu Han turned to his friend and waited for him to continue. “A kiss. Girls love that. Besides, it would be a great way for you to confess to her.” Se Hun smiled proudly of his mastermind. Lu Han rolled his eyes. He knew Hwa Young and he knew she wasn’t the type of girl to fall over a guy just because he kissed her on her birthday.

Suddenly an idea popped in his mind. “That’s it!” he straightened up and looked at Se Hun as if a lamp had just appeared above his head. Se Hun blinked at the older one quizzically. “I already know what I’ll give her as a birthday present.” Lu Han smiled as he couldn’t wait to start the preparations.

The next day was a busy day for Lu Han. He had asked his friends to help him with the preparations for Hwa Young’s birthday and that they shouldn’t open their mouth about the matter to Hwa Young. It would be a surprise present and she could not know about it in any way. 

As the day had activities also, the popular group along with Lu Han and Eun Kyo had difficulty on preparing everything else after it was time to go to the tents. They tried their best to do it behind Hwa Young’s back. Although she got a little suspicious about their behavior, she shrugged it off and continued with her own business.

Time to go to the tents arrived and that night they wouldn’t be changing tents. In that wait Lu Han had more time and possibility to work on Hwa Young’s present.

He walked out of the tent and went towards the teacher who was controlling the tents in his night shift. “What are you doing still awake Lu Han?” the teacher got ready to scold the boy. “Teacher Chang I have a request to make you.” he started and the teacher blinked at him. He told her that he was working on the Hwa Young’s birthday present and that he needed a computer.

Surprisingly the teacher knew about Lu Han best friend’s birthday, as all the teachers had already prepared a day for her. “It’s late Lu Han. Go to sleep and I’ll dismiss you from the activities today so you can work on her present.” the teacher softened at seeing already that it wasn’t just a friendship between them.

“Really? But … she can’t know about this.” Lu Han widened taken aback by the caring side of teacher Chang. “Yes. Alright. Now go to sleep.” she nodded once towards his tent and a grin showed on her lips. “Thank you so much teacher Chang!” he bowed in gratitude and made his way towards his tent relieved. 

The second part is in the first chapter for those who didn't notice yet. So I wasn't able to make the fourth part the last one. :C It got extended more than I wanted ... *sighs*
