Gonchan's POV
It's February 12th, meaning it's been a year that I've liked her for. Why? Why can't I build up that courage to ask her out?! Is it just me being the true wimp that I am?! Aish shinja! I'm going crazy. Whenever she walks in, waving at each and every person, I feel like my heart is going to pop out of my chest. Am I crazy for loving someone this much?
"Channie anyeong~" She giggles a bit after saying that, then runs off to her group of friends, linking arms with then and smiling.
I didn't get a chance to say hi, I just froze there, I stuttered out a hello and awkwardly waved, she waited there for a few minutes, but I couldn't build up the courage to ask her how her weekend was or any of those conversation starting questions.
I couldn't help but stare at her again, even if it was already halfway through the day, even if she sat right in the back, I couldn't help but steal a little glance, just to see her bright smile, the smile that lights up everyone around her. What always makes my day is getting to see her face, her bright, clear skin, eyes that sparkle and pale pink lips. She had people around her, everyday, every hour and every minute. Whilst I, only had my hyungs, who aren't even in school anymore. I couldn't concentrate that lesson. Sometimes I couldn't help but had a feeling that she liked me back, she just had no idea I liked her a whole lot.
"Chogi... Channie ah~"
My heart was beating damn fast when I heard her voice. Keep cool Gong Chanshik, keep your cool.
"Hmm?" Shoot. My voice just went pip squeak high.
She smiled a little and looked at me, she looked tired close up but she tried to hide it, she wasn't having any sleep, I was sure of it, she was normally not both mono lidded and double lidded like I was, but looks like she didn't have enough sleep that her eyes turned out that way.
"What's up?"
"I... Uh..." She stuttered for the first time, her cheeks turned bright red, I looked back at her, she had her friends staring at her, waiting for her to ask those few words.
"I..."
"You..." I smiled at her, her eyes widened whilst staring at me.
"I was wondering... If it's okay with you... Of course... Uhh..." She smiled again, blushing. She reminded me of myself whenever I saw or spoke to her.
"I'm having a dance performance coming up in two days, and all my friends are bringing their boyfriends and dates to watch... And uhh... I was wondering... Uh... Whether you could come to watch me dance that day..."
I'm pretty sure she just asked me out. "Yeah. Sure" I said and smiled back.
Her face lit up, she tucked her hair behind her ear and bit her lip unknowingly, that was one of her bad habits that made her look even cuter than before.
"Thanks! It's on Valentines... You don't have any other dates planned... Right?"
"No! No!" She can't misunderstand me!
"Kekeek araso. I'll see you then." She smiled back, placing her hands on mine, man, I wanted to hold it.
She walked back off linking arms with her friends walking out the front door to lunch break.
Two days later... ~~
Ballet performances are supposed to be formal... Right? Or is it not... Aish what the...
I've already prepared the flowers, the chocolates and the teddy bear... I'm going to confess today, yes, Gong Chanshik will confess to the girl he loves today!
I got out my suit and tie I was going to save for prom, tch. I can use it again, all suits and ties look the same anyways. Wait... Should I wear a bow tie instead? Or should I just not wear any ties or bows? AISH SHINJA.
My phone started vibrating after that... It was Ji Hyun... Her one and only photograph with me popped up...
"Ji Hyun ahh.."
"Channie~~" I loved how she was the only one that called me Channie. "Don't forget to wear a suit tonight alright? It's quite formal..."
"Do I need to wear a bow tie?" she laughed, jeez, even her laugh was pretty.
"Ne... Wear it~ I'll see you later~" She stretched the last words over the phone before hanging up.
It was already 4.30 pm... The show started at six... I need to leave in thirty minutes. I walked down the living room staring at a few bouquets and boxes of chocolates and teddy bears, feeling apologetic to those who have sent them to me, I obviously wished that it was all from Ji Hyun.
- Poor Gong Chanshik did not notice the single rose placed on his front porch by his swing, it was from you... You dropped by his house to put it there in the morning before you went to your ballet rehearsal before the show.-
The hall was filled with people in tuxedos and ball gowns, thank god Ji Hyun called to tell me I had to wear a suit and tie, if I walked in there wearing my ripped jeans I would've looked a bit... Odd?
I sat down in a seat next to a few adults and people around my age.
"Everyone has dates coming to watch her except Ji Hyun... It's pretty sad for her, she's the main..." Said a girl to a guy.
Tch. Her date's right here. I wanted to tell her that but before I could opened my mouth to reply, the show has already started.
Ji Hyun was in a white tutu, staged in the middle and once the music started, she performed her routine... She was flawless. I'm not even kidding... I think I chose to fall for the right girl kkkk~
- After you performed continuously for the next hour, the performance reached an end where you all gathered up on stage after the finale for photographs. The girls ran over to their boyfriends and turned back to see where the "main character" would go. You ran straight to Gongchan who walked over to hug you.-
I just hugged her... Was that an obvious move? Oh god, I don't care anymore, I better confess sooner or later.
- "You came!" You said as you smiled at him.
"Hahahahaa yeah! I'm glad I did! You did really well!" He said handing you your roses, chocolates and a teddy bear.
"Gomawo~" You told him whilst he helplessly smiled back at you.
"Uhh... Ji Hyun ah..."
"Ne?"
"I like you, will you be my valentine?" he awkwardly smiled at you asking you that. You laughed at him.
"You obviously didn't notice my rose did you? Babo." You stuck your tongue out at him.
"Hmm? Aish! Shinja! I ran straight out here so I didn't see it~ Jeongmal mianhe... And hey... It's not very lady like to stick out your tongue... Tch." he smirked at you
"Well... On the rose, it said... I like you... I guess now I'll have to say... I like you too?" You stuttered and smiled back at him.-
Man was I relieved when she told me she liked me back... Should I kiss her? There's a lot of cameras here... If I do, then... Hmm... I don't know. Another part of me is thinking... JUST KISS HER ALREADY BABO.
- Gongchan leaned in towards you, you closed your eyes as he did, he placed his hands on your cheeks and kissed you for a long while. Everyone's heads turned to you, snapping photographs and some just awestruck.
"Can I be more than just your valentine?" You asked.
"Yeah... You can be my girlfriend... If that's-"
"Okay with me?" You finished off his sentence... "Why not?" You smiled at him, as he leaned in again to kiss you.
