"Uh..no..nothing."

 

Yoona smiled, she felt that girl is shy. Sooyoung can’t meet Yoona’s eyes. She’s too shy for what happened last night, remembering that she fell asleep on Yoona’s arms. Sooyoung gawked at the girl’s beautiful face, only looking at her when she’s looking away. She felt shy by realizing that she hugged this girl’s body and dared to make her sleep beside her.

 

"Did you sleep well?" Yoona teased. She's grinning widely.

 

Sooyoung nodded. Any way, she has to thank the girl for being with her. She wouldn't relax the way she did last night if the girl didn't arrive.

 

"Thank you.. for last night."

 

"Not a problem. I slept pretty well too you know.."

 

Sooyoung blushed by what the girl said. At that moment, she felt her sadness lessen. This girl can make her happy in a blink of an eye.

Yoona and Sooyoung ate the pancakes while Hana is just staring at them every now and then.  when both of them are done, they sighed and gave compliments to Hana who is really a good chef. Hana just smiled back.

 

Both of them sat on the couch and took a quick break from eating heavily.

 

"What are we gonna do next.." Sooyoung said while looking at the not-so-distant blue sea.

 

"Would you like to swim?"

 

Sooyoung thinks. She doesn't know how to swim. Plus, the sun already rose up. It's already late for that in this time of the morning. She just want to stroll around just like yesterday...With this girl beside her.

 

“Hey. Before I forget..I want you to meet someone..” Yoona smiled and rose up..

 

Sooyoung noticed that Hana smiled as well. Yoona and Hana looked at each other and both of them nodded, no words spoken. There's something odd on how these two girls communicate. They seem to know what each other is thinking. Like they were connected, speaking only through their minds. Sooyoung felt envious at the moment, wishing she'll be the at that same kind of connection with Yoona.

 

..Oops. Sooyoung felt weird thinking about that..

 

Hana then glanced at Sooyoung. Sooyoung almost swear to herself that she saw Hana grinned and looked at her as if she said something funny.

 

“Wait here…”

 

Sooyoung was left alone, sitting on the couch and waited as she was told. Hana noticed it and she left her station in the bar and joined her.

 

"You'll like him.. the one she wanted you to meet." Hana said. "I promise.."

 

It took a minute or two and Yoona hasn't arrived yet. Sooyoung is feeling awkward with the mysterious girl sitting beside her. It's as if she wanted to ask a whole lot of things to her, but an unknown force is stopping her. Maybe she's just shy.. or maybe she's intimidated.

 

"This is the first time I saw her so happy..." Hana suddenly said, not looking at Sooyoung. "I mean..Yoona-unnie.."

 

Sooyoung smiled and treated the girl's statement as a valid compliment. Then something sparked in her mind, a curious thought..

 

"Are you a guide as well? or are you a visitor?" Sooyoung asked.

 

"Hmmmm.. I'm just..." Hana smiled and stick her tongue out while thinking of what to reply.

 

"...a visitor...just like everyone else in here..."

 

Sooyoung seems not to accept the girl's answer. There's something in her that tells she's hiding something. She's about to ask another question when Yoona arrived. 

 

Hana's eyes gleamed upon seeing that someone whom Yoona is carrying with her.

 

Yoona arrived....with a cute puppy. Sooyoung felt opened due to amazement. She immediately wants to jump towards Yoona and hold the cute chowchow who's tongue is sticking out while Yoona is holding her like a baby.

 

“He’s cute right?”

 

Sooyoung nodded while patting the head of the what looks like a ball of cuteness. It’s white, small but fat, and hairy. Sooyoung likes dogs and she actually owns three cute shih tzus at home. She took it from Yoona's arms and played with it.

 

“he’s name is Bokshil...He is Hana's dog.."

 

Sooyoung giggled by the dog's name. It means fluffy. It's the name that best describes him.

 

Hana touched the puppy's head and looked at both of the girls.

 

"Can you guys walk him? He really loves the sea.. I'm having a trouble taking care of him since I'm doing a lot of things.."

 

Sooyoung nodded. "Sure! Let's go Yoona."

 

Yoona smiled at Hana and the small girl winked. Sooyoung didn't fail to notice it.

Yoona let go of the dog and it cutely ran towards the sea, meeting the small waves. The dog played with it. Sooyoung let out an aegyo due to the dog's cuteness. She removed her slippers and followed the dog to where it's going. Yoona followed as well, wearing a smile on her face. They are walking barefooted on the shore, playing with the waves.

 

"I'm glad you feel  better now..." Yoona said, her hands dangling freely while they are holding her slippers.

 

Sooyoung nodded. She indeed feel better now, slowly coping from the sadness.

 

"Thanks to you... really.. If you're not here..I would've died of loneliness.." Sooyoung replied, while slightly laughing. "I almost died when you and Hana pulled out that prank earlier.. I really thought you just vanished.."

 

Yoona pressed her lips together, trying not to laugh and jump out of happiness. This girl's remarks just made her day. Sooyoung then went closely to the cute dog, who suddenly barked and jumped around when a hermit crab went close to its paw.

 

"Aigoo.. he's so cute!!!" Sooyoung loudly said. She grabbed the puppy and held it high, in front of her face and adored it cuteness. The dog stick it's tongue out, wanting to Soo's face.

 

"Yah.. you Bokshil.. If my friends are here..they already died because of your cuteness!"

 

Yoona just stood there watching the girl adored the cute little puppy. Sooyoung is undeniably adorable as well. She and the puppy made an exceptional team of adorable-ness. She just suddenly wanted to poke Soo's cheek again.

 

She went to Sooyoung's side and played with the dog's dangling paws. They are now sitting on the sand, just a few inches away from the line the waves can reach the farthest.

Yoona looked at her in the eye. Sooyoung's eyes seem to glow when she always brought her friends up as a topic. Yoona knew that Sooyoung's love for her friends can either cause two major things while Soo's in this place: deep sadness and complete happiness. The two edges of the string that can either cause comfort or pain. Sooyoung's friends are not in here.. and even though Yoona can see them in the other world.. she doesn't know exactly how it is to be with them.

 

"Sooyoung-ah.. can you tell me

 

...about your friends?"

 

Sooyoung smiled. She suddenly imagined Yoona being part of their girl team. She would be an awesome additional to it. Yoona deserves to know more about her friends since she knew she'll like them the way Sooyoung liked every unique personalities each of them have.

 

Sooyoung breathed in and the smell of the sea makes her feel a lot better. She let go of the dog and let it proceed in playing with the water again.

 

"My friends..

..are the most wonderful people I met my whole life.."

 

Sooyoung smiled sweetly and looked at Yoona.

 

"Taeyeon is our eldest co-actress. She's also a singer. If we were a girl group, I swear Taeyeon would be our leader. She's dorky and fools around a lot. But anyway, you'll feel at peace when she's with you.. She's calm and has a great sense of responsibility.

..Sunkyu is our aegyo queen. She's the best in playing cutesy roles! She's too adorable to simply be ignored. When she does aegyo..we'll all draw our attention to her..

..Yuri is my kkab-mate. She likes to play and is very adventurous. She's so restless at times and i know that if she sees this place now.. she'll be the one who'll enjoy it the best. She likes the beach just like me..

..Tiffany, is our beautiful eye-smile queen. Everyone, boys and girls alike, loves the way she smiles. It's full of sincerity and passion. Her liveliness will greatly influence you. She's the last one to lose hope when everything's falling out of place..

..Hyoyeon, is the best dancer. She always stars in dance oriented shows. She's good at telling jokes as well and making the set fun and lively. I swear, Hyoyeon would always say something that would make you laugh..

..Seohyun..is the maknae. Yeah, she's the youngest but she's the most matured one. She always tells us what to do and what not to do. She's an intelligent kid with a pure heart..

And Jessica…"

 

Sooyoung suddenly breathed heavily and looked away.

 

Yoona knew that Jessica is the one whom Sooyoung saved. Something made Yoona feel that Sooyoung has this different feeling for the girl. It's noticeable on how she says her name.

 

"Jessica.." Sooyoung sighed.

 

"..she's called the ice princess but that's never like her. When you're with her, you'll feel her warmth and her kindness. I grew up with her and she's been with me even before the others arrived. One smile coming from her, and you'll start to feel that everything's going to be alright.

..Jessica...is my best friend.

And I'll do everything just to make her safe.."

 

Yoona felt the intensity of Sooyoung's feelings. It's reeking out of her presence. Yoona should feel warm from what Sooyoung had just said but something made her heartbeat stopped for a second and right after, it felt as if something pinched her heart.

 

Yoona closed her eyes for a bit and grabbed Sooyoung's hand. Sooyoung quickly looked at her, kinda surprised by the sudden gesture.

 

"Sooyoung..

..do you love her? "

 

Yoona don't know if the question should be asked or not. Nonetheless, she already let go of it, making the girl's eyes widen for a bit and take her eyes away from her stare. Sooyoung the grabbed a handful of sand with her free hand and slowly released it. Yoona just stared at what the girl is doing, waiting patiently for her answer which she has an idea what will it be. 

Sooyoung knew what Yoona meant by “love”. Sooyoung breathed in and thought of the right thing to say.

"You're asking me if I love her..?

 

Yoona nodded. She let go of Sooyoung's hand and played with the sand as well.

 

"Well..

 

...I did.”

 

"Between laughing for no reason, long talks, stupid arguments and making fun of each other.. I've fallen in love with her."

 

Yoona looked away. Her heart being crushed for an unknown reason.

 

"But that's in the past...

 

Yoona then looked back at the girl. What does tha suppoes to mean? Sooyoung looked at her again, her eyes seemingly making Yoona melt inside.

 

"..something happened and it made me supress the feelings I had for her."
