Sungmin’s POV

It’s been 6 months since Kyu left, but my eyes aren’t experiencing drought yet. I can’t help but cry

everytime I think about him. Now, I know why Kyung wanted the bench below the big oak tree. It really

is the right place to cry cause after, you’ll feel the burden lessen. I was thankful for Kyung and Chul

for letting me use their favorite place.

“Min, we need to go now” I heard Wookie called out.

“Yeah, I’m coming” I shouted back. It’s Kang-in and Leeteuk, hyung’s wedding. I’m happy for them

though I also feel envious, I would have been the happiest person alive if only Kyu’s here.

“What’s with that sad face. Min, can you forget about it for awhile, I know hyung won’t be totally happy

seeing you sad” he said

“I know don’t worry, I’ll smile” I assured

“Good” he said while placing a hand in my shoulder

“Hey, faster” Yesung said.

“Yeah, don’t be too excited as if you’re the one getting married” Wookie said irritably

“It’s my brother who’s getting married” he said irritably too. He treats hyung as his brother.

“I’m sorry, I forgot. Sorry” Wookie ran towards Yesung and made aegyo

“It’s okay” Yesung replied then they walked holding hands.

Sungmin’s POV

The wedding was very intimate. We were the only one present but it was full of fun. We They enjoyed

the celebration. Hae and Hyuk were the wedding singers, they did really great. Wookie and Yesung

sang during the dinner, they were great too.

I tried my best not to show any sign of loneliness and I didn’t fail, though I know Wookie and Hyukie

knew better.

Everyone was dancing in a tune of sweet music. Everyone have partners, except me of course.

“Can I have this dance?” Kang-in asked. I looked at Teuk, hyung who just nodded

“Okay” I stood up and we danced

“How are you?” he asked

“I’m fine” I said

“I know you’re not. Min, just trust okay? Trust that love conquers all” he said

“I don’t know if I can still trust” I admitted

“If you’re losing hope, then think of the memories that might give you hope again” he said

Sungmin’s POV

It’s already 3am, but I still wasn’t able to sleep. I decided to go to the terrace. I took my jacket out and

walked outside. I was about to open the door when I heard a voice talking. I’m quite sure it was

Wookie’s voice. I was about to call his name when I heard him:

“Kyu, where are you?” he said

“You did that?! That’s very dangerous! I’m glad you’re safe. Min’s not fine but he’s coping with it,

don’t worry we’re taking care of him. Yes, we’re making sure he’ll never forget you, so please be

careful, he’s still is waiting for you. Okay, I’ll do that. How’s Sooyoung? Is her baby okay? Great! You

call me about your plans. Okay bye” he said and ended the call.

“Wookie?” I said. Though it’s dark, I’m very sure he was shocked

“Minnie? W-what are you doing here?” he asked

“You had communication with Kyu and you weren’t telling me?” I said calmly

“You heard it?” he said nervously

“Yeah, I did. Why didn’t you tell me?” I asked

“It’s what Kyu wants” he said

“Why?” I said. I’m angry, I just don’t want to burst

“Because he’s afraid that when he hears your voice, he’ll give up” he said.

“I couldn’t understand Wook” I said

“I promise him not to tell you, but I think you need to know. Just promise me you won’t go and ruin his

plans, is that okay with you?” Wookie said

“Okay, I promise” I assured him

“As you know, Sooyoung’s dad is a dangerous man. He threaten Kyu, that if he won’t marry her

daughter, he would kill his family. Sooyoung’s pregnant, but the father of the child is only a factory

worker so his father doesn’t agree with their relationship.” He started

“Why Kyu?”

“Kyu’s father owe a lot on him, he saved their company from bankruptcy and he wants Kyu as

payment” he continued

“Kyu’s decided to be a civilian agent of the police force and enter into his soon- to-be father-in –law’s

company. He’s finding evidences about criminal offences and illegal undertakings in the company. He

called to tell me he almost was caught last night” he said

“But it’s very dangerous” I commented

“Yes, it really is, but he thought it’s the only way to save his family without losing you” he continued

All the while he has been doing everything to save this relationship, while I’m just here waiting and yet

I did thought of losing hope and trust. I felt so worthless.

“I feel so worthless Wookie, what can I do to help him?” I asked Wookie

“All you have to do is to be safe and trust. That’s all that he wants you to do” Wookie said.

If that’s what Kyu wants me to do, I’ll do it even if my adrenaline was pumping too fast. I wanted to go

help Kyu in this fight, but I’m afraid that I’ll just be an additional burden for Kyu.
