Eunhyuk’s POV

“Why are you so early?” I asked Hae. He said we’ll be having dinner at 7pm and it’s still 5:30pm.

“I’m just excited” he said while smiling at me

“I’ll go shower first” I said

“Ok, go enjoy a hot shower” he said and I felt something in the way his words sounded.

“Don’t you dare get in Hae, if you do I’ll never go to dates with you anymore” I said

“I’m not, look I’m already dressed” he defended

Eunhyuk’s POV

I was expecting, we’ll have dinner in a restaurant but I was mistaken because Hae stopped at his

house

“What are we doing here, Hae” I asked

“We’ll be having dinner” he said then opened his and my seatbelt.

“Here?” I asked

“Yes, don’t worry we’ll just have dinner. I promise!” he said while raising his right hand up.

“Okay, don’t break your promise okay?” I said as he was helping me get down the car

“I won’t. Let’s go?” he said then held my hand

I was expecting us to be eating alone but I’m mistaken again because there were a lot of people

inside.

“Hae, you’re finally here” a middle aged woman approached.

“Is he Eunhyuk?” he asked as he get a sight of me. I felt ashamed and afraid

“Yes, mom. He’s my Hyukie” Hae said that made me startled. Mom? Is he Hae’s mom?

“Hi Hyukie” his mom gave me a welcoming hug

“Hi” It’s all that I managed to say because of lots of emotions I was feeling at that very moment

“Hae, has been telling tales of you, so I’ve been so excited to meet you and finally we did” she said.

She sure is welcoming. I looked at Hae with a puzzled expression.

“They know, so don’t worry” Hae whispered

“Hae, you go eat okay, I need to do something and you Hyukie, don’t be shy okay. Feel at home. I’ll

be back later” she said then kissed us both in the cheek

“You told them all?” I asked Hae when we were alone

“Yes, they knew. They are not against it. My family has been so excited to meet you.” He said

“But—“ I didn’t finish what I’m about to say when Hae’s mom spoke on stage

“Excuse me everyone, I just want to thank everyone who’s present here to celebrate with us our

30^thwedding anniversary. Thank you. And I guess our only son would want to serenade us all with a

song. Please give a hand to my beloved son… Donghae” she said and I felt Donghae stood up

“I’ll be back” he whispered before going on stage. I can’t believe he will really sing. I never know Hae

can sing.

“Hello everyone, I just want to give a message to my loving parents. Mom Dad, I just want you to know

how blessed I am for having you as my parents. Thank you for everything, this is for you” he was

looking at his parents but when he said the last line, he looked at me.

I never thought Hae does have a talent in singing. He’s good, no I think great is the right term. He was

looking at me in the whole duration of the song. It almost made me cry, good thing I got hold of myself

before I forgot that I’m in a party. Everyone was clapping their hands.

“Excuse me” he said and everyone was quite again.

“I just want to give a word to someone very special” everyone was looking at me now

“I grew up with a lot of love in my family, loving parents and loving sisters. But I played on love. I made

a lot of girls cry, I’m sorry for that. I really don’t know what love is, I believe in true love but I thought

it’s only for the fortunate few like my parents. But he came to my life unexpectedly. He showed me

that true love exists. He taught me not only to love, but to appreciate even small things in life. He

taught that people don’t get all that they wanted in an instance, so I learned to be patient. I have hurt

him, but he taught me ‘no one’s perfect’ so we need to learn how forgive. He made me a better

person now. Hyukie, thank you for showing me what true love is and thank you for coming into my life.

I just want you to know that I can’t live without you by my side that I want to grow old with you.” He said

then everyone clapped except me of course. I felt like fainting. Then a beautiful woman approach me

“Stand up” he said and I did

She was guiding me towards the stage.

“Where are we going” I asked

“You need to go on stage, Hae wants to tell you something” she whispered

“Who are you” I asked

“I’m Tiffany, I’m Hae’s elder sister. You can call me unnie too” she smiled

“Here you go, good luck little bro” she said before she went down. Hae held my hand to guide me to

the center stage.

“Hae, what’s this?” I asked. Instead of answering me, he spoke in the microphone.

“Hyuk, if I need to shout to the whole world how much I love you, I will. I love you Hyuk, will you marry

me?” he said then opened a case with a ring inside

“What?” I said.

“Will you marry me?” he repeated.

Everyone was cheering now and I saw Hae’s mom and unnie shouting “Yes”.

“Yes, I will marry you” I said. Of course I love to marry Hae but at that moment I felt like I’ve no choice.

He placed the ring in my finger then hugged me tight.

“Thank you” he whispered teary eyed
