Sungmin’s POV

I woke up because of an uneasy feeling. I was looking for something. I stood to sit and realized Kyu’s

hug was what’s missing.

“Kyu!” I called out, but I didn’t get an answer. I went outside to search for him, but I can’t see any

trace of him.

I went in the room to pick up my phone. I need to know where Kyu is, I’m nervous because of the

conversation we had last night. I dialed Kyu’s number but it was off again.

“Kyu, where are you?” I said while tears start to fall from my eyes

I sat at the side part of the bed because I felt very weak, then a folded paper caught my attention. I

picked it up and was really nervous while opening it. As I read it, I was feeling my world is tumbling

down on me. The letter says:

Minnie,

              Please never forget that I love you and I always will. The day you said yes was the happiest

moment of my life. I promised myself I will never let you go, make you cry or do something that can

make you sad. But I guess I can’t hold on to my promise, I know it will cause you pain, but I just want

you to know that it’s killing me too. As much as I want to be with you, I just can’t. My father’s dying and

his dying wish is for me to marry Sooyoung. I need to do it for my father and for my family. As much

as I want to choose you over my family, I can’t cause I’m afraid Sooyoung’s father would hurt you. I’m

doing this for you too. Please believe me when I say, no one can replace you in my heart. I hope

you’ll find someone who can love you more than I do. Please take care of yourself and I wish you’ll

find real happiness.

For the first time in my life, I felt like I was dying. I thought I was a strong person, that I can survive all

trials that life can offer, but I’m not. If only Kyu told me, I’ll suggest him to stay, I don’t care if I’ll get

hurt over and over physically just not to lose him. I’m willing to leave all that I have worked hard for

just to be with him.

I heard a knock on the door.

“Kyu” it was Hyuk

“Minnie, what happened?” he asked with a worried face

“Hyuk—“ I said then I hugged him. I don’t care if he sees me this weak, I just needed a hug now.

“What happened?” he asked

“He’s gone” I said

“Who? Kyu? Where’s he?” he asked then he hugged me

“He’s getting married. Hyuk, what should I do?” I asked hopelessly

“He’s getting married with” he said in shock

“With his ex-girlfriend” I said. I can’t even say her name

“I can’t believe this, it’s really impossible Min. I thought he loved you” he said still in shock

“He did and he do, but he had no choice” I said in despair

“Min!” I turned to see crying Wookie

“Wookie?” he ran to me then hugged me tight

“Min, I’m here okay, I’ll be here for you” he said while sobbing

“You know?” I asked

“He called me up and asked me to stay with you” he said

“He called you? Where is he Wook? I need to see him” I said

“I don’t know, he said never to let you go to their house because he’s not there” Wookie said

“What will I do now?” I said

“Min, just wait okay. Kyu said he’ll do anything to be back” he said

“Wookie, I don’t how to face everyday without him” I said still sobbing and Hyuk gave us both a glass

of water.

“I trust him Min, I hope you trust him too. I witnessed how much Kyu loves you. Please be strong”

Wookie said and I saw pity in his eyes

“What am I gonna do?” I asked hopelessly

“As I said you just wait okay? But for now, I need to bring you to the resort Min. You need a peaceful

place to live.” Wookie said

“Wookie’s right Min, you need a peaceful place to think over your life. To be ready for whatever fate

has installed for you” Hyuk said, he was now crying too.

“Thank you” I said then we did grouped hug.

If I only knew that last night was my last happy night, I would’ve not sleep. I know at that very moment,

I’ll never be happy again until I die.
