Chapter 6
Daesung stretched his arms over his head, and slowly opened his eyes as he yawned. Was it morning already? He then moved his left arm to the side, only to hit the wall. A confused expression covered his face as he hauled himself up and felt the result of the alcohol he had consumed the night before, pounding his head. He then warily looked left; it was a wall indeed. But what was the wall doing there? He blinked a couple times before turning his gaze to the right. Ah! There was his bedside table. Daesung pinched his eyes shut and rubbed them lightly. That’s right, he was back in Korea now. He sighed and let himself fall down again.
Was he happy to be back?
After falling back to sleep, and waking up once more, he decided to head to the bathroom and take a long, hot shower. He placed his feet on the ground, and shuffled towards the hallway. He had just opened his door, and he found himself standing face to face with his hyung.
“Good morning,” the other said.
It took a while for Daesung to process, but he gave an awkward smile in return.
“Annyeong,” he then replied.
Seunghyun extended his arm and reached for Daesung’s hand.
“Did you sleep well?”
At first, Daesung wanted to pull his hand back, but there was something familiar about his touch, something his hand obviously remembered. He thought about looking into Seunghyun’s eyes, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to stop, so he just retracted his hand and let out in a rather high-pitched voice:
“I’ll go and wash up.”
Seunghyun watched him hurriedly walk away, and he didn’t stop him. They had made progress; at least now Daesung had answered him without trying to sound rude. He rose his hand and placed it on the back of his head. Was this even something to be happy about?
