Chapter 4 - The First Date

"D-Date??!"
Kyu held Yoona's arm and they walked away from the park. Yoona thought that this was wrong. "Wait! But you have a girlfriend! This isn't right!"
"Who told you I have a girlfriend?" Kyu said, still holding her hand.
"Stop! Wait!"
"Look. Jiyeon is my friend. I could not betray her," Yoona exclaimed.
Kyu let go of her hand. He don't know how to say it. He is not Jiyeon's boyfriend and he will never be. His heart belongs to that person in front of him. Instead, Kyu just stayed silent.
Yoona stood there while waiting for his answer.
"I think a friendly date won't hurt anyone," Kyu finally said.
"Come on. I made reservations."
They arrived at a fancy restaurant. Yoona was lost for words.
"But, the foods are so expensive here. Let's go eat in another restaurant."
"No. It's my treat. Remember, it is your birthday," Kyu insisted.
They sat at a reserved table for two. They are the only ones inside the restaurant.
"Ahm, Kyu? Where are all the other customers?" Yoona curiously asked.
"Remember what I said earlier? I made reservations."
"You booked the whole restaurant!!!"
Kyu nodded in agreement.
"But Kyu," Yoona felt a little embarassed. Kyu booked the whole restaurant? How can it be?
"Excuse me, Master Cho. Here's the menu," a waiter said.
"Master Cho?...
Your family owns this restaurant!!!"
"You can say that without yelling, you know."
"Oh, sorry. But I was just surprised. Your family owns this and I didn't even know," Yoona felt more and more embarassed.
"What do you want to eat?" Kyu asked her.
"Anything less expensive," Yoona answered, with her head down.
Kyu touched her cheek and pulled it up to make eye contact with her.
"Don't worry. It's my treat, okay?"
Yoona nodded but she still feels embarassed.
After eating their dinner....
"Wow! I'm so full!"
"I didn't know you eat so much," Kyu teased and giggled.
"The food was so good. Can you blame me?" Yoona pouted.
"Oh yeah. How are you and Jiyeon? Is everything alright with you two?"
Kyu didn't respond. He just continued eating his food.
Yoona thought," Maybe that was a wrong thing to say. So dumb of me."
"Nevermind what I said. Anyway..."
"There's nothing going on between the two of us," Kyu suddenly said.
"What?"
"Jiyeon is... a close friend. That's just it."
"But she said..."
"Nevermind what she says."
"Then, why do you let her hold your hand? Why do you let her hug you?"
"Hmmm... I smell jealousy here," Kyu teased.
"What? Of course not! I... I..."
"Admit it then. You are jealous," Kyu said as he leaned closer to Yoona.
"I...I..."
Kyu has gotten so close to Yoona's face, waiting for her answer.
"Okay! Okay! I am a bit jealous... But just a little bit!"
Kyu leaned back on his chair and laughed so hard.
"Ha ha ha ha !"
Yoona pouted," There's nothing funny about what I said."
She haven't seen him laugh this much. Instead of getting mad at him, she was happy.
"You know what? You're the weirdest girl I know," Kyu said.
"What!?" Yoona pouted.
"That's why I really like you," Kyu stated with a serious face.
Yoona started to blush. She thought, why is he making her feel that why. He always knows what to say.
"Hey! Don't change the topic! Humph!" Yoona exclaimed.
" Look at the time. It's already late. I better get you home or your oppa will kill me."
At Yoona's place...
"Thank you for the treat," Yoona thanked Kyu.
"No problem," he answered shortly.
"I should go now. Bye."
When Yoona was about to open the car door, she felt Kyu's hand on her arm. He pulled her close then kissed her on the cheek.
Yoona was stunned. She didn't know what to do.
"That's my birthay gift to you. Happy Birthday,Yoona."
RIIIING!!!!
Yoona turned off her alarm clock. She stretched her arms.
"That's my birthay gift to you. Happy Birthday,Yoona."
She remembered what happened last night.
" Did it happen? Or was I dreaming? Aaah!" She yelled with a pillow covering .
"No. It was only a friendly kiss, right? "
Her phone suddenly rang. She looked at the name of the caller.
"It's him! What should I do!
Ahem....
Hello?"
"Good morning grandma deer," Kyu greeted.
As usual, he again.
"What do you want?"
"I just want to make sure you're okay."
"Of course I am okay! Why shouldn't I be? Ha ha ha!" Yoona faked a laugh.
"About last night..."
" Oh! It's okay! I totally forgot it already."
"Oh.... Well then, since you already forgot about it,
should I do it again?"
"What!? Are you kidding me!?"
"I am serious..."
