Parking her car recklessly next to his black car, she took her time just leaning her forehead against the steering for a while. She breathed in slowly and glanced over the empty car next to hers. She knew he was upstairs then but she was half-wishing he wasn't. Although when she had another thought about it, she decided it would be better for him to be there.

It was better if he wasn't alone too.

She gathered the papers scattered in her car and them mindlessly into an envelope which she put under the passenger seat. She furrowed thinking about the content of the papers but she shrugged it off and put on her heels before reaching for her handbag and went out of her car. She walked dreamily towards the entrance to the elevator and pressed the button, stopping her breath. When the elevator arrived, her neighbour greeted her with a polite nod and she returned it before taking over the space he was standing at in the elevator. She counted the floors, feeling her heart beating rather slowly than usual and when she arrived at her floor, she stepped out of the elevator and gulped.

Relax, she told herself. Just act like there's nothing wrong, she reminded herself again.

She walked to the door of her apartment and pressed in the passcode and took about 3 seconds before turning the handle and stepped in. The first thing she saw was a pair of imitation heels lying unattractively near the entrance. By the look of it, they seemed had been taken off in haste along with his shoes which were lying on the door mat. She felt her heart sank a bit but she only smiled flatly to herself and took off her heels carefully and walked towards the empty living room. She looked around the space, deciding she needed nothing there before walking to the master bedroom; her room.

Though when she opened it, she saw another woman lying on it with the buttons of her blouse undone, revealing her red lacey bra. Her eyes trailed over the man on top of her, who was kissing her and rubbing her bare thigh, and both of them were completely oblivious of her presence. She lost her focus for a while, feeling another tightening of her chest before she darted off to the wardrobe and opened the door coolly, taking out a luggage. She scanned the clothes hanging on the rail and she began to take out her clothes among his clothes.

The sound of kissing had stopped when she took out her favourite coat and put it in the luggage lousily. She felt a hand on her shoulder but she ignored it and took out the rest of her clothes.

"Eun-shil, what are you doing?" His voice was strong but there was a slight of embarrassment. "Why are you packing away your clothes?" His eyes went to the luggage on the floor, filled with her clothes. Eun-shil went over the drawers and took out her t-shirts and lingerie, tossing them into the luggage.

"Eun-shil, I can explain this." She could hear the desperate in his tone but she decided to ignore it.

"There's no need to explain anything." She said, coldly before going over to the counter and took away her cosmetic products and put them along in the luggage. She went to the toilet and took whatever stuff that she owned before going out again and found him standing miserably next to her luggage. His shirt was half ed and his belt was unbuckled. His eyes were as messy as his hair as he looked at her and frowned.

"Eun-shil, I promise you, this will be the last time. That girl... she was clinging on me all night and I was a bit drunk and-" He began, still furrowing.

"You took her here and f**k her on our bed?" Eun-shil said, almost without feelings as she stared at him. She watched his face turned a bit twisted as he looked away and shut his eyes.

"I needed to let out some steam." He said, looking a bit annoyed. "You were away for so long..."

"Yeah, that was what you said the last time you brought back that woman last month and f**k her on the kitchen table." She said, flatly. "And I was only gone for three days."

"That was a mistake." He began, rapidly.

"No. That wasn't a mistake and this time too, isn't a mistake." She smiled sarcastically. "What the mistake has been all along is... we staying together until now." She said, feeling herself choking on her words. "I had enough."

"Eun-shil." He watched her as she bent down and began to zip up her luggage with some difficulties. "Eun-shil, you know that I lo

Chapter 23: You made me cry so much .. so much that I can't stop my tears no matter how hard I try to stop
This story is the saddest story I've ever read in my entire life!
I really hoped that Woohyun will marry her even though I knew she will die..
I wanted Eun-shil to forgive him as always but..

May God ease the pain of patients who suffer every day and give them strength to go on.. For those around them as well who suffer seeing their beloved ones in this state

I know this fic is kind of old? But I really love it. First of all, thank you for writing such a beautiful story. I have never cried this much, to be exact, it has been 3 years since the last time I cried this much. Thank you for making me realize that I still have a heart, proving that I am not a heartless person.

It reminds me of my boyfriend who died 3 years ago, just like Eunshil, he was suffering from leukemia. I understand the unbearable pain Woohyun had while taking care of Eunshil, and Eunshil herself. Just like Eunshil, he lost his self-confidence, he in fact, lost his faith to even live.

Reading this fic again makes me missing him more than ever. Nevertheless, thank you for writing this fic, really. It's beautiful and perhaps... painful at the same time.
