Chapter 17
One ShotAs I ran towards the cemetery, I prayed that what the man had told me was a lie. I wished that this was a bad dream and that I was going to wake up from it soon. As I ran through the gates, I headed towards the list of names on a massive board. As I scanned the list, I found grandmothers name at the bottom.
running to the number her grave was, I could feel with each step my body felt heavy. It felt as though someone was holding me down and not wanting me to go near the grave. Coming to the end of the lane, I found grandmothers grave. There were flowers planted around her stone, and a picture of grandmother smiling was enlarged for people to see.
my legs gave out, causing me to fall to the ground as I started to breathe heavy. Tears fell down my cheeks as I looked at grandmothers smiling face. So he wasn't lying, she really did pass away, and it's all my fault.
Placing my head in my hands, I let my head fall slightly as I sobbed. "Such a sad atmospher" a voice sad from behind me. Shivers went down my spine at the voice, and didn't have to lift my head to see who it was. "You did this" I said, anger showing in my voice. Pulling my hands away from my face, I glared at the reflection in the tomb stone.
