~FlashBack~

It was my first day back to school. I couldn't believe I was going to be in second grade! How cool! I was growing up so fast. The thing that was that I moved schools. Moving from Seoul to Busan wasn't fun because of the long ride but it was alright moving for once. We got on with the neighbours pretty well.

"Now Jiho, be a good boy and make lots of new friends here. Mummy will pick you up afterwards. FIGHTING!" My mum was the only one who encouraged me throughout. I never really had friends back there in Seoul. They would all tease me because of my nose and I hated it.

"Okie dokie! Tell daddy that I will do my best!" I said with a large smile. My mother's face softened when I mentioned my father. You see...he died last year. It was a sad moment for me and my mum but we managed to pull through with a smile on our faces.

"Arasso. I'll be leaving now then. I'll see you after school Jiho-ah. Annyeong!" My mum said as she waved goodbye. I waved back and turned around to face the school.

*Today, things are going to change!*

"Ok kids! We have a new student joining us today." My new teacher said while she gestured to me. "Why don't you introduce yourself?" I nodded and smiled to my class.

"My name is Woo Jiho. Please treat me well." I bowed and looked around at the other kids. They all just nodded and went back to talking. I sighed and looked up at my teacher. She had a welcoming smile on her face.

"Who would like Jiho to sit next to them?" She asked to the class. No one answered. At that moment I wanted to just run out of the school and just lie in the middle of the road.

"ME MRS. SONG!"

Someone actually wanted me to sit next to them. I turned my head to who it was and saw a girl with shiny brown hair and the prettiest smile I've seen in my life. I smiled back to her and she softened.

"Alright then. Jiho-ssi, please sit next to Mi Sun-ssi over there. I hope you both get along very well." Mrs. Song said as I nodded and walked over to my desk.

When I sat down, I turned my head around and smiled at the girl. "Thank's for letting me sit next to you." I said as I held out my hand. "I'm Jiho. You're name is Mi Sun right?" I asked.

She smiled and shook my hand enthusiastically. "YUP! My name is Jung Mi Sun. I'll show you around the school and I'll introduce you to my friends." She explained with a smile and I couldn't help but smile back. It was just so pretty.

During the whole time in class, I just couldn't keep my eyes off her.

Young love was getting to me at the age of nine.

"Ok class. Lunch time!" Mrs. Song announced as the bell rang. The kids cheered and went outside with their bags.

"Quickly Jiho. I want to introduce you to my friends right away!" Mi Sun said while I was fixing up my bag. She was in such a rush.

When I finished packing my bag, she grabbed my arm and dragged me outside. I saw so many kids outside. Even though the school was smaller than the one in Seoul, it had so many people. "So where are your friends?" I asked curioulsy looking around.

She giggled and came closer to my ear. "We have a secret place where we stay. Come on I'll show you." She whispered and grabbed my hand again. She dragged me up a couple of stairs and through a hallway until we reached a small little opening. "It's through here. Come on." I hesitated but shrugged and crawled through.

When I saw the other end of the opening, I crawled faster because I was getting afraid of the dark. I stepped out and my mouth fell open. "Wow..." That was all I could say after seeing a beautiful small garden. I looked at Mi Sun and she smiled.

"Cool right? Our teacher's last year told us about this place but never let us go in. So me and my friends decided to come here every recess and lunch. And now you get to join us!" Mi Sun said with a wide smile. I smiled back at here and began looking around. I walked over to a small tree. It looked pretty so I sat down under it and pulled out my lunch.

I closed my eyes to take a bite but I felt something tugging on my sandwich. I opened my eyes and saw a guy taking a bite of my sandwich. "Y-YAH! What are you doing?!"

The guy just blinked at me and smiled. "Chu musht be teh new kehd!" He tried speaking with his mouth full of my delicious sandwich. Out of all things he had to take my food? Why doesn't he just take my money instead?

"Y-Yeah...who are you?" I asked curiously but he just smiled a very cheesy smile. He swallowed his food and cleared his throat.

"My name is Kyung. Park Kyung at your service!" He said while grabbing my hand. Everyone seemed to be attached to my hands that day.

He brought me over to a little bench and I saw more people there. "OK! Sitting from left to right is Taeil, Sueji, Jihoon, Minhyuk, Jaehyo and U-Kwon." Kyung introduced me to each of them.

"Annyeonghaseyo! I'm Woo Jiho. I hope we'll be good friends." I bowed and looked back up. They all had confused faces but Kyung broke the silence and laughed. 

"You don't have to be so formal. When Mi Sun brings over someone, then she has a good feeling about them. So technically, we're all already best friends!" He said with a giggle and I smiled back. 

*They are so nice*

"TIME TO EAT!!" We all turned to see Mi Sun calling us to a small tree. We all went over and I stared at the tree. It was growing bright purple flowers and the petals were falling off. It was so pretty. Mi Sun came up to me and smiled. "Nice, right?" I couldn't speak so I just nodded. She smiled. "This is OUR secret spot. As a new member of our group, you have to promise not to tell anyone about this place. EVER! Arasso?"

She sounded so serious. I didn't want to break a promise with my first friend. I stuck out my pinky and she hooked her's with it. "Promise." 

She grinned brightly and jumped up and down. "GUYS WE HAVE AN OFFICIAL NEW FRIEND! CELEBRATION TIME!" She yelled out to the others as they made a circle around me and jumped up and down with their hands together. 

I jumped in the middle of the circle and we all flopped down on the ground. "Ok guys we got to eat." Taeil said while he held his stomach. "I'm about to explode of hunger!" He complained as he fell over and rolled around. 

Sueji laughed and patted his head. "Oppa if you want food then take it out of your bag." She said as she grabbed his bag and pulled out his lunch box. "SEE! You have food HEAVEN in here!"

She gasped at all the food he had, tempted to eat it all, but Taeil snatched it out of her hand and held it to his chest. "NO TOUCHY!" He opened his lunch box and took out a tuna sandwich. He took a bite into it in front of Sueji's face and his lips. "Mmmm~ Tasty!" 

Sueji growled and folded her arms. "Meanie." 

Taeil smiled softly and handed her half of it. "Here little girl." She smiled brightly and grabbed it, taking a massive bite. 

I stared at them with soft eyes and a small smirk. 

*He likes her. So obvious!*

When we were all finished, the bell rang. 

I got up straight away but someone pulled me down. "Don't rush. We always wait till we're done." Mi Sun said with a smile. I hesitated and sighed. 

"Ok then." I sat back down and watch everyone have a small casual conversation between each other. I just stared at them and smiled to myself.

*So this is what it feels like having friends*

I smiled softly to myself but was interrupted by the second bell.

"Ok guys. Let's get going!" Mi Sun said as she grabbed her bag and went to the opening. I followed behind her and waved to the other's. They waved back at me and went to the other openings.

*Wow there's a lot of secret passages here...*

I shrugged and kept crawling behind Mi Sun. When we got out, she grabbed my hand, for the hundredth time that day, and dragged me to class.

Once we got there, she opened the door and we both bowed to the teacher who looked really mad. "Mianhaeyo Mrs. Song for being late to class." We said in unison. Mrs. Song stared us down like we were a bunch of thieves in a police station and she was the police officer who caught us. Her face soon calmed down and she sighed.

"Woo Jiho, since this was your first day here then I will let you off." She said nicely and then turned to Mi Sun. "Jung Mi Sun, I am grateful that you have been showing Jiho around the school, but please be mindful that he has to come to class in time." She said while gesturing us to our seats.

We bowed and walked in together. Once we sat down, we looked at each other and let out a small giggle.

*This was going to be fun!*

~3 weeks later~

It's been 3 weeks since I knew Mi Sun and the other's. We even made nicknames for each other. I was Zico, Jihoon was P.O, Minhyuk was B-Bomb,  and Sueji was Suzy. They all had a reason behind it except for mine and Sueji's. Minhyuk was B-Bomb because he loved to dance and Jihoon was P.O because of his last name, Pyo.

The past few weeks with them were a blast and I had the time of my life. Having friends for the first time was awesome!

While I was walking down the hallway to get to class, everything in my mind seemed to go blank. All I thought about was the fun I was going to have with my friends. That is...until I bumped into someone.

"Ahh. Mianhae." I said as I bowed and tried to walk off but the person grabbed my shoulders and stared at me. He smiled and laughed a little.

"You're that new kid from a few weeks ago right?" I just nodded at his question and he let go of me. "Cool! My name's Himchan. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand and I shook it. He seemed really nice.

"My name's Jiho but my friends call me Zico. Nice to meet you too." I said and he smiled at me. His face then saddened and he sighed.

"I wish I had friends. You're lucky you have friends already." I saw him and he looked really sincere. "I guess I'll be going now." He said sadly as he walked off. Before he was out of sight, I tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a humble smile.

"You can always come to me and my friends. The more the merrier!"

Himchan smiled at my response and nodded. "I'll see you at lunch then. Bye!" He said as he ran off.

It was lunch time and I told Mi Sun that I had to go somewhere first. She nodded and walked off to our secret spot. During recess, Himchan told me to meet him at the playground during lunch so I agreed. I walked over and saw him holding a phone.

Wasn't he too young to have a phone?

Anyways, he saw me and smiled. He then looked back at his phone and typed in something. Sort of weird fut I shrugged it off and walked over. "Ok so are you ready?" I asked him. He jumped and clapped at the same time.

"YUP!" He was unreasonably enthusiastic about it. I smiled anyways and lead the way.

I kept looking back at Himchan and he was always looking at me then back at his phone. It kind of creeped me out a bit.

When we reached the opening, I told him to crawl in behind me and he nodded. Once we got out of the small tunnel, I stepped out and saw everyone sitting under the tree. I smiled and waved at them and they waved back. They all suddenly turned their heads and looked behind me. I noticed that Himchan was still on his phone and I poked his shoulder.

"You alright there?" I asked curiously. He quickly turned off his phone and shoved it in his pocket with a suspicious smile.

"It's nothing." He waved his hands in the air and I just shrugged.

"Guys, this is Himchan, a new friend I made. Is it alright if he hangs out with us?" I told them but all eyes turned to Mi Sun. She got up and stepped closer to Himchan, examining him from head to toe. She then grabbed my arm and brought me behind the tree.

"He looks sort of...suspicious." Mi Sun explained but I shook my head, defending Himchan.

"Yeah but he said he hasn't had any friends. So is it alright?" I said trying to let Himchan to stay with us. Mi Sun shrugged and sighed.

"Fine. But only because you're my best friend." She said sweetly and I gaver her a hug.

"Thanks!" She patted my back and nodded. I walked off over to Himchan and told him that he was allowed to stay with us. I stared at his expression and I saw a smirk form on his face.

When Suzy called us to sit with them, we nodded and got out our lunch. Taeil and Suzy were having a food argument while the rest were laughing at them. I giggled and looked over to Himchan.

He was laughing but it didn't sound like a fun laugh to me...

~The next day~

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" I heard yelling from our secret spot and stepped next to Mi Sun.

"What happened wh-" I stopped what I was going to say and dropped what was in my hands. "How did t-this happen?" I asked frustrated and sad at the same time. I turned to Mi Sun and her face was bright red.

I walked forward and looked around. The other's came from the other passages and gasped at the sight. It was a mess. The flower's were pulled out, the stems and grass were a mess and the tree...THE TREE! The leaves and the flower's were pulled out and it looked dead. How could this happen?

"So you finally show up?" I heard a familiar voice behind me and turned to see Himchan with two other guys.

"D-Did you do this?" I said hesitantly. I was so sad that no words came out of my mouth once he answered with one, small, simple word.

"Yes."

I wanted to push him down but I couldn't. "These are my friends that helped me. Yongguk and Daehyun. Well, I don't want to waste time here. Let's go." He gestured Daehyun and Yongguk to follow him and they did.

I fell to my knees. Who knew in one day a whole friendship could change? Well...it got worse.

I turned to Mi Sun and she was crying her eyes out. I walked over to her and tried to comfort her but she slapped my hand away from her. "M-Mi Sun-ah..."

"NO! JUST DON'T SAY ANYTHING! I DON'T KNOW YOU! JUST GET OUT OF MY FACE!"

Those words hurt. It felt like a knife going through my whole body. I wanted to comfort her but she wouldn't let me. "Mi Sun. I didn't know he would do this. Please. It's not my fault..." I tried to speak but my words were being choked up by my tears.

She came up to me and raised her hand to slap my face. I closed my eyes to get ready for the slap but it never came. I opened one eye and saw that she was on her knees and she pointed to the passage.

"Get out. You are no longer my friend..."

"B-But It w-wasn't my f-"

"I SAID GET OUT!"

She yelled so loudly. I couldn't help but to cry my eyes out and I ran away. I went through the passage way and ran through the hallways, reaching the school gate. I ran and ran until I was out of breath and just fell to the ground.

My first friend...my first crush...gone...

~End of flashback~

I fell to the ground and tears threatened to fall.

*I'm sorry Mi Sun...*
