First Impressions: [6/10]
at first glance what i thought (sometimes unedited thoughts
and how my mind works when i first look)
my first impression, "it looks like an explosion of orange paint"
is that a bad thing? no. is that a good thing? maybe.
is it a good thing for this poster? not really.
its quite crowded and busy. there's a lot of elements going on.
it sort of overpowers your eyes. my eyes are looking for something to focus on
and it keeps jumping around cause its really busy,
theres the text in the background, the X, the paint splatter, the text, the people.
and the colors are so vibrant / over processed it all makes me dizzy.
is it a bad poster? no. is it the best poster ive ever seen? no
Technique: [20/20]
how masterful are you at blending/cutting
blending seems good.
no harsh edges or lines.
maybe its covered up a lot but it seems fine.
cant say much.
Resources: [12/20]
does your images/stocks/brushes/textures enhance the poster
images are good. quality is good. i dont think they are the best pictures to choose from though.
the mood they are depicting seems vague. and its more of a pet peeve of mine,
but they seem to be a mismatch because of their clothes.
shes got a coat on and he is in short sleeves. iono im just weird.
also sometimes less is more. simplicity can be elegant in some cases.
for example: a well chosen stock is much better than overloading on random brushes/textures.
the examples below are some beautiful posters that inspire me.
and although they are "simple" they are extremely well executed.
ill speak about them some more in the sections below.
