Chapter 30
The Babysitter
I woke up because of the constant movement in my bed. I opened my eyes and say Henry jumping on my bed.
-Hey, why did you wake me up? – I said still half-asleep
-Would you take me to the park? Yes? Yes? Would you! –
-Now? – I asked
-Yeah please! – He said doing his innocent aegyo
-Fine- I sighed –Just let me take a shower-
-You ready? – I asked him after I got ready
-Yeah! – He said excited
I grabbed my car keys and opened the front door.
-We’re driving to the park? – He asked rising a brow –are you THAT lazy? –
-We’re going to another park- I said smiling and getting in the car…
We got to a beautiful park that was 5 minutes from my house, but let’s say I felt incredibly lazy that day. Once we reached the park, Henry decided to play his violin and call the attention of every person in the park. I sat on one of the benches under a tree as I saw him playing and everybody’s jaw dropped. I threw my head back and took a deep breath; it has been a long time since I felt that relaxed. I closed my eyes for a while, I was not asleep though. But my tranquility ended up when a very rushed Henry interrupted me.
-What happened? – I asked when I saw his pale face
-I think I lost my cell phone- He said nervously
-What! How come? – I asked
-I left it next to my violin’s case and when I looked for it, it was gone! Mom’s going to kill me! – He said
-Ok calm down, I’ll call you and try to hear the ringtone- I said and started dialing Henry’s number in my cell phone
-OK- He said.
We got worried at every ‘beep’ the phone made because we didn’t hear the device ring not even one.
-I think this is yours- A deep voice I could recognize anywhere said behind my back.
-Yeah! – Henry turned around and ran where… Kyuhyun was. –Oh God thank you! – Henry said
I turned around and our gazes met for a second, before I looked away and ‘broke the connection’. There he was holding Little Ahra’s hand.
-Thank you- I told Kyuhyun in a cold tone –Henry, shall we go? – I asked
-can we stay a little longer? I want to play the violin a little more- He did his innocent aegyo. I sighed defeated; I just couldn’t say no to that face.
-Fine- I said before looking him walk away with Little Ahra.
I sat on the bench again and looked at my cell phone, completely ignoring Kyuhyun. I saw him sat next to me. I just looked at my cell phone playing some game as me moved his feet nervously..?
-A…and, how are you? – I heard him ask, even if I didn’t know on answering him on kept on ignoring him
-Perfect- I lied
-C…Cool- He said –I feel terrible you know? – I felt his gaze on me, even so I didn’t look at him –The one I love left me- He took a deep breath as I tried my best for not to cry
-You must have done something terrible to her… poor Krystal- I said getting on my feet –I hope you solve all your problems- I said and started walking
-Wookie- I heard him walking behind me –You perfectly know that IT’S YOU the one I love- He grabbed my hand
-No… -I laughed bitterly –I BELIEVED that. When you love someone, you never hurt him like THIS…-I couldn’t help it anymore; I felt how a tear rolled down my cheek, but I wiped it away
-Please let me explain it to you…-
-Kyuhyun, stop- I said –You don’t have anything to explain to me, and I don’t want to hear anything from you- I didn’t want to. Not the right moment of place.
-Ryeowook…-
-Just leave me alone- I started walking again, carefully of not getting to close to Henry
-Do you love me? – I heard him ask behind my back. I stopped at the question –Ryeowook, do you love me? – He asked again, now heard were rolling down my cheeks uncontrollably. –Just answer me…- he whispered in my ear –Just say ‘no’ and I swear of God I’ll leave you alone…-
