I was dying on the inside as I waited for her answer. I was nervous.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

" I-I don't know what to s-say"

 

 

 

" ... You  don't have to respond now. I just wanted to let you know that I care about you. That I love you with all my heart, and no matter what happens, I'll always love you"

 

 

" .... "

 

 

She was quiet for a bit. It looked like she was thinking hard on her response.

 

 

 

" ... I told you, you don't have to say anything now. I can wait "

 

 

" I ... I don't know "

 

 

I'll admit that her words hurt me a bit. What if she was going to reject me? What if she didn't like me back?

 

 

" I-I'm scared "

 

 

I looked at her, wondering 'why?'.

 

 

" What do you mean? What are you afraid of? "

 

 

" I'm afraid that, after we get together, people will start to criticize you. They'll probably start doing things to you, and there is  also the possibility of you getting hurt !! I don't want you to get hurt or even suffer because of me. I just can't !!"

 

 

 

I was happy to know that she cared about me.

 

 

 

 

" Thank you " I said.

 

 

She looked up at me, and stared at my face.

 

 

" I appreciate your consideration, but ... I don't care about what happens, as long as I'm with you, I'll be happy no matter what happens. "

I cut her off, placing my index finger to lay against her lips.
