Chapter 3- The Song
Yoona and Yuri were inside the library, studying for their exam.
" I don't really get it, Yoong," iritated Yuri said as she was solving a math problem.
" I already taught you that yesterday. It's just easy. Here."
"Easy for you to say. "i'm not as smart as you."
"Hey, don't get your hopes down. Why don't we have a little break to regain our brain
cells,"Yoona suggested.
"Yeah. Conme on. I'm hungry."
As Yoona stood up, she didn't notice someon behind her.
"Ow!"
"I'm sorry!!"
Yoona helped the girl pick up her books. She looked up and saw tha tall, slim new female
student.
"My bad. Mianhe," Yoona apologized.
"It's okay.... Yoong?"
Yoona was puzzled. How did she know hername? When she looked closely, it hit her!
"Sooyoungie?"
"Yoong!"
They hugged each other and jumped up and down.
"SHHHHH!!!!" the librarian said.
"Sorry Ms. Hyo Yeon," Sooyoung apologized.
"I didn't recognize you. You've changed....a lot," Yoona whispered.
"Nah... I'm still me. I missed you Yoong! It's been 10 years since we've seen each other."
"By the way, Yuri, this is my childhood bestfriend, Sooyoung. Sooyoung, this is my
bestfriend, Yuri."
"Annyeong!" Yuri and Sooyoung greeted each other.
As they walked, Yoona talked about how they were separated with Sooyoung. Actually,
Sooyoung's family moved to the U.S. because of business matters. They had no
communications since then.
They continued to walk along the corridor. When they passed the music room, Yoona
heard someone singing. The song was vey familiar to her. She stopped and let her friends
move on. Out of curiousity, she peaked inside the room and saw a guy on the piano. She
can only see the guy's back. She remembered that song that she often sings when she
was a child. She hummed with the song as she closed her eyed. She didn't notice that the
piano stopped. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes and she saw a guy's face an
inch close to her face. Out of shock, she fell down on her bottom.
"Ouch... It's you," the only words that came out of .
"Let me help you," he offered his hand and helped Yoona stood up.
"sorry! Mianhe..." Yoona apologized as she bowed. The guy gave a bright smile.
"That's alright. Be careful next time, Okay?" He was the new guy whom she had a crush
on: the bright, friendly new student.
"By the way. I'm Donghae. But you can call me Hae."
"I...I...I...I'm Yoona. Yoomg for short."
"Nice to meet you Yoona," he offered his hand for a handshake and Yoona grabbed it
willingly.
"I should go now," Yoona ran away leaving the puzzled Donghae behind.
"Hyung, wo was that?" a guy behind him asked.The guy raised his eyebrow as a sign that
he wants to know what happened.
"Oh. Just a new friend."
The guy crossed his arms unsatisfactorily.
"Nevermind... Come on,Kyu. Why don't you sing another song."
