Chapter 10 - The Fall
"Honey! Your friends are here!"
"Coming Ma!' Yoona answered her mother.
She went down the stairs in a graceful way. All eyes were on her. She was busy looking
down, watching her steps. "Teukie! Take a picture! Hurry! Oh! My baby's so pretty!"
"Wait! Yoong! Look here! Smile!"
Yoona looked up and saw a very unexpected person. His eyes were fixed at hers that
reminded her of someone who looks at her in the same way.
She thought,"The boy?"
Suddenly, she stepped on her dress that made her out of balance. She was preparing
herself from a very hard fall. she thought,"Oh no! This ws suppossed to be a great night!
Wae!Wae!" She closed her eyes and prepared for the worse. When she opened her eyes,
she saw not the floor, but the face of Kyuhyun. Their lips were a centimeter a part. Kyu was
lying on the floor and Yoona was on top of her.
"AAAAAhhhhh!" Yoona shouted.
"Is that how you thank a friend? Blowing their eardrums?" Kyu said while cleaning his right
ear. Yoona quickly stood up and looked at all the persons inside the room. Mrs. Sora, Mr.
Leeteuk,Sooyoung, Sungmin, Yuri, Bomi, Donghae, Seohyun, Chorong...and Kyuhyun!?
Sungmin helped Kyu stood up. "Are you alright,Bro?" "Thanks."
"Oh. Your parents called us to fetch you," Sooyoung said.
"Yoong, Sooyoung's right. We did invite them over," Mrs. Sora explained.
Yoona was still confused,"But how did you know that Donghae and Kyuhyun were also my
friends?"
"Well..."
Sooyoung jumped in and said," I called the two of them. You know, so that we have
escorts. And also, Seohyun's father is your father's friend as well."
"I did call them," Mr. Teuk agreed.
"Okay. Enough of this chit'chat. We're going to be late," interrupted Yuri.
They went outside one by one. Donghae's with his girlfriend Sooyoung. Yuri's with
Sungmin. Seohyun, Chorong, and Bomi were together. Yoona walked alone, leaving
Kyuhyun behind.
"Kyu?" Mr. Teuk called.
Kyuhyun went inside the house. Yoona was about to ride the car wheb she noticed
Kyuhyun missing. Meanwhile, inseide Yoona's house, Mr. Teuk and Mrs. Sora were
having a serious talk with Kyu.
"Yes. I didn't tell her yet," Kyu said. "We were trying our best to regain her memory of
you,but everytime we try to bring you in the topic, she experiences blackouts. But I think
now is the right time," Mrs. Sora said. "Eotteoke?"
"Tell her slowly. Let her feel that you have a connection to her," Mr. Teuk explained.
"And please,stop blaming yourself for what happenned. It was an accident," Mrs. Sora
pointed out. Kyu was silent. Deep inside, he still felt that he is the one to be blamed.
"What accident?" Yoona suddenly popped out of the door.
Mr. Teuk and Mrs. Sora looked at each other. Kyuhyun looked at Yoona and stood up. He
don't know what to say. He don't know how to say it. He just did what he thought was the
thing to do.
Kyuhyun bowed to Mr. Teuk and Mrs. Sora. He grabbed Yoona's hand and dragged her
away from the house.
"Yah! Let go of me! Let go!..." Kyu let her go.
Yoona looked at his eyes in anger. Suddenly, Kyuhyun wrapped his arms around her.
"I won't force you to remeber everything. Just remember the feelings... That's enough for
me..."
"Kyu... What...?" Yoona's anger washed away. She didn't know what he was talking about.
"Hey lovebirds! Come on!' Sungmin shouted from the car. Kyuhyun loosened his grip and
went for the car. Yoona stood there in confusion. "Waht is really happening?"
"Yah! Doe-eyed freak! Do you want to go to the ball or do you want to stay here looking like
an idiot!" Kyuhyun said before closing the car door.
"That evil man! A minute he'll be so kind and touching, and now he's acting like he hated
me so much. Haish! Men are so unpredictable." Yoona rode the car with her mind full of
many unanswered questions.
