Ren's POV

 

I clench my fists as I watch the scene for afar and pray to god that JR won't fall for their little act.

 

"Actually I'm here with someone." He says, quietly.

 

"Daw, who is it? Is it a friend? If he's as handsome as you, we'd love being introduced to him." The girls keep playing around, now

seriously pissing me off. They better take their dirty hands of JR!

 

"Yeah, a friend..." JR repeats, grinning sweetly. Don't look at them like that! I want to shout out to him, tell him how hurt I am, but

suddenly his glance finds me. JR's look softens. With three large steps he approaches me, grabbing my hand.

 

"My boyfriend." He then says, pulling me towards the ice cream shop, and the girl's expressions freeze in disbelief. Then one of them

starts to laugh unconfidently.

 

"Yeah, sure..." She says, now clinging onto her friend. "No way a guy like you would be gay." That's what she said, but as she

examines me from head to toe, she seems to get more and more nervous. Without me expecting it, JR even tops it. His hands softly

graze up my spine until they reach my neck, where they now rest, and I let him pull me closer. Our lips touch, causing me to shiver.

Heat runs through my body as I don't even care about the bystanders and respond to his kiss.

 

"Y-yah!" One of the girls screams, blushing in embarrassment. The other one watches the scene with her eyes widened and

dangling open. They soon snap out of it and we end the kiss, a triumphant expression on both of our faces. They then leave us alone,

not without mumbling stuff like 'Aish, another failure.' or 'Why are all the good guys already in a relationship?'.  I can't help but smile at

what just happened, my skin still hot and my cheeks flushed.

 

"Sorry, Ren-ah." JR says, bowing in front of me, while people still watch.

 

"W-what are you doing?! Stop it!" I say, trying to get him to stand straight again, and he unwillingly does.

 

"I don't want you to think I flirted with them."

 

"Why would I think that?" I ask, while in reality, I exactly had those thoughts. Now that I think about it, they were unreasonable. Why did I

even doubt JR? Because he's too gorgeous for you.

 

"I don't know either. I just don't want to lose you again." He mumbles, I can hear the sincerity of his words. They are so sweet I want to

hug him.

 

"Me neither." I whisper, looking up into his dark, sparkling eyes.

 

"Wanna get some ice cream now?"

 

 

JR's POV

 

I got the both of ice cream and we are now sitting on the beach, watching the water as the sun starts to set. Ren is happily his

vanilla ice cream, and I observe him, fascinated. Everything he does amazes me. A drop of chocolate lands on my chest, and I quickly

rub it off. My untouched ice had started to melt and was slowly turning into chocolate sauce. So I forced myself to look away from Ren

and eat quickly, which is a shame, the ice tastes so good I should enjoy it more.  Especially in Ren's company.

 

"Hyung?" Ren's soft voice makes me look at him again.

 

"Mh?"

 

"Today was fun." He admits, and I grin contentedly. As long as he likes it, everything is alright.

 

"It's not over yet though." It will be over once we are back home. And even then he will still be with me. The sky is glowing in a bright

red-orange, soon it'll be dark.

 

"I don't want to leave." Ren gazes at me, questioning. As if he was thinking. He then turned towards the ocean again, saying:

 

"Me too." I finish my ice cream and cuddle up to Ren, who doesn't resist nor tells me to back away. Together, we watch the sun vanish,

and soon after darkness surrounds us. Not completely though, the stars are twinkling above us.

 

"I'm cold..." Ren mutters, and I grab behind me to get my hoodie.

 

"Take it." I offer it to him and Ren gladly accepts it. Seeing him in my clothes makes my heart beat faster.

 

"What about you, hyung?" He asks me, and I tilt my head lightly.

 

"I'm not cold at all." Since you are so close... I lean onto his shoulder and rest my head on him, closing my eyes. Soon I can feel the

weight of his head on mine, and his breath getting quieter and quieter. I wonder if he fell asleep like that. Ren really does sleep a lot...

One more thing I find cute about him.

 

In my bag, my handy vibrates, causing me to shot up and wake Ren in his still light sleep. He doesn't say a thing though, just gives me

a confused look and lies down again, this time on my lap. In this inconvenient position, I rummage around in my bag, until I find the

phone. One new message.

 

JR, I asked Vani if she'd mind to meet up with you guys, and she said no. So basically, are you free tomorrow? We can meet then. You

can take Ren-ah with you, if you want!   - Baekho

 

End of the message. A smile steals onto my lips. That guy ... I really want to meet his girlfriend -Vani?- though. Her name sounds cute.

I chuckle, then lean back and follow Ren's example.

 

 

Ren's POV

 

We must've slept a lot, because when I opened my eyes, it was pitch dark. The monotonous noise of the sea can be heard from afar,

and I carefully sit up to let my glance wander over the deserted beach. All of the people had left, no wonder, but I feel something

weird... A sudden pain  rushes through my head, throbbing, and I hold my sleeves to make it stop. It gradually grows weaker, but won't

seem to vanish completely. I never felt that sensation before. I arise completely, deciding to take a look around for anything suspicious.

Glancing at the sleeping JR, I hesitate, but he can take care of himself.

 

Luckily, my eyes adapt to the darkness rather quickly, so I can more or less see where I'm walking. When something catches my

attention. A dark figure is standing near the ocean, its feet most likely in touch with the water. I want to get closer, but my worsening

headache keeps me away from it. The only thing I notice is bright blonde hair like my own, shimmering in the dull starlight, and its

missing aura.
