Donghae shii

I'm glad you want to be friends with me.
Sorry if I was quite shy about it.
Let's tell something about ourselves shall we?
And since its my idea, I should do it first.

I'm Eunhyuk, 24 years old.
Sophomore in SM Poly University.
Hobbies? Well... I don't have much in particular but I like watching dance battles.
I also like listening to music. Quite part of my life actually.
I remember you telling Sungmin shii that you transferred from
University to Poly, am I correct? Wow... you must
be an intellectual person.

"SM Poly?" Donghae chuckled and bit his lips. He cannot believe that he is really befriending this person. He thinks he should
really go to Sungmin's dorm and check out this Eunhyuk. On second thought, he got a better idea. He started writing back with a
smile on his lips.

Eunhyuk shii

Since we're introducing ourselves to each other.
I'm Lee Donghae, 26 years.
I'm older than you!
I should be called hyung, then. Kidding.
Guess we live in a very small world.
I'm also studying in SM Poly University and I'm graduating soon!
I transferred to follow my boyfriend there but yeah... you know what happened.
Anyway, I'm taking up Music; I like composing songs...
I like playing guitar and... since you mentioned dance battles
I've joined dance battle once 2 years ago.
It was unforgettable... magically unforgettable.

By-the-way, I hope you don't mind but
I keep on wondering why you keep on writing 2008 for your date.
It clearly 2010 already. Maybe you also have the tendency to lose track of time?
It happens to me often as well.
But yours is like 2 years late, don't you think? You should start updating your clock now.^^
Anyway would you like to meet?
Just once... since we study in the same school, it won't be difficult to find each other.

"It's clearly 2010 already?" Hyukjae whispered to himself as he fixed his bed. "It's clearly 2008, are you kidding me?" he
shook his head still thinking about it. Is this Donghae really playing with him?

He went out of his room and saw Jongwoon having an eye battle with his turtle. The older man lying down on his chest looking
fiercely at Ddangkoma. "Fighting, Ddangkoma, you're already doing great." he said. But the turtle blinked every 15 seconds or
so. "Yah! Stop blinking, how will you ever win over me?!"

"Hyung..." Hyukjae called. Jongwoon looked at him shortly and focused on his turtle again.

"What?" he asked but obviously not paying attention.

"What's the day today?"

"Thursday."

Hyukjae nodded. "And the date?"

"13 of July, why?"

"The year?"

"2008... yah... stop talking to me, you're disturbing Ddangkoma's concentration." Jongwoon said using his hand to shoo off Hyukjae
from the scene. He closed his eyes looking desperate. "you silly, turtle."

Hyukjae just shook his head as he sees Jongwoon's weird hobby. Like, seriously, training your turtle to have an eye battle? He
thought he's going crazy if he stays with him a little longer. He started walking away and saw Jungsoo working on his term paper.
His eyeglasses are almost at the edge of his nose and his really serious is typing.

"Jungsoo Hyung, can I disturb you for awhile?" he asked.

"What is it?" Jungsoo said not looking at him at all.

"What's the day today?"

"Yeah... are you going to prank us or something? You've asked the same question to Jongwoon." he said.

Hyukjae scratched his head and smiled shyly. "I just want to know."

"Thursday. 13 of July. 2008."

"So... it's really 2008?" he asked. "not 2010?" Jungsoo finally looked at him but with a weirded stare.

"Yeah, Lee Hyukjae. Don't even try pranking me..."

"I'm not!" he said defensively. He sighed and scratched his head. "Thanks, Hyung."

He started walking back to his room as he was already confirmed that today is 2008. He read Donghae's letter and placed it back
once more on the box where he's been keeping Donghae's letter. He took a piece of paper and sighed shortly. Just one more shot
and maybe they can already tell who's fooling who and who's taking someone as a fool.

Donghae shii

I think you're the one who's mistaken.
I've asked my friends what year it is today.
It' s only 2008.
Maybe you're too futuristic that's why you set your
clock 2 years in advance.
Holy, the world is indeed small.
I didn't expect to know that we are both studying in the same school.
I mean...wow.
So you've joined a dance battle before?
What happened to you back then?
Wow, you must be very talented. I mean composing songs
is already something and then joining dance battles?
Which group were you in? I'm quite a fan of our school's dance battle
so I'm quite aware of the winners...
By the way, there will be a dance battle in December.
Maybe we can watch it together, what do you say?

Let's meet this coming 15 August.
Under the old rubber tree, its the only rubber tree in our school.
So we won't be confused.

"2008?" Donghae said to himself. "There must be something wrong with this Eunhyuk." he shook his head and checked the calendar.
It is in 2010. He chuckled. "Maybe he doesn't have any money to buy a new calendar." he said wanting to make fun of his new friend.
He read the letter again and skipped to the part where the details of their meet up is written.

"Rubber tree?" Donghae asked and gasped some breathe. "is there any rubber tree in school?" he thought for a while. He snapped
and continuously talked to himself. "Does he mean the one they cut a year ago?" he shrugged his shoulder
shortly. "That's the only rubber tree that I know."

Donghae

Hyukjae bit his lips as he smile. How does Donghae looks like? He hopes this person won't disappoint him.

"Looking handsome, Hyukjae ah..." Shindong said as he noticed Eunhyuk fixing his spoon fringe. Hyukjae freed a smile. "Date?"

"I'll be meeting a friend today." he said excitedly.

Shindong straighten up when he heard it. "Yah... so you really are dating!"

"I'm not! It's just a casual meeting." Hyukjae said blushing and smiling widely. "I'll get going." he said as he closed the door.

Hyukjae was very anxious. It is finally the most awaited Friday. He came in 30 minutes early. It's not really that
he's excited, it's just that he doesn't want a negative impression. He started walking around feeling a bit nervous. Well yeah,
truth is... he is excited. He just don't want to admit it to himself. It was an indescribable feeling, what he feels right now. He never
felt this anxious and excited in meeting a stranger. He wonders whether this feeling is like that of having a blind date or something.
Date? yeah right... what is he thinking about.
As much as he enjoys the weird connection he had with this person, he really anticipates getting to know him more. And with the
thought that they are in the same school, he thought there could have been a million possibilities of them bumping into each
other without realising it. Right now, he will know the face behind those letters. He can't wait to see him.
Whatever Donghae will look like, he sure will be happy to meet him. That's right...even if he looks like a fish or a dinosaur it
wouldn't matter to him.

Donghae dressed up with his favourite checkered shirt with his pants and sneakers. How does Eunhyuk looks like? He never thought
he'd anticipate in meeting him as much as watching a live soccer game. He was so excited that he wasn't able to sleep last night
thinking he'll sleep in too much and won't wake up at the right time. He hoped his dark circles isn't too obvious. He sighed
shortly. What is he thinking? It's not like he's going out on a date or something. It's just a casual meet up with a friend whom
you haven't meet yet. Like a blind date or something.

Donghae swallowed and blushed shortly with the thought. "It's not a blind date, Donghae ah... it's just a casual meeting." he said and
nodded. "It's not a blind date ok!" he said raising up his voice a bit. "It's not a blind date... besides, it's not like you'll-"
he sighed. What is he thinking? and why the hell is he explaining to himself anyway?! It's not a date! End of story!

He looked up the sky and closed one eye when the sun shones brightly at him. It was the first time he went out of the house with a
smile after breaking up with Siwon. It feels so nice, smiling again. He thought. "I shouldn't really be bothered by him." he said
referring to Siwon. "You've moved on before breaking up. I should do the same."

He shook his head and continued walking. He diverted his thoughts with meeting up with Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk's handwriting is quite
neat, he's hoping the real person is too. Well, it's won't really bother him if he's dirty looking or something but...
Donghae sighed and smiled again...

Whatever Eunhyuk shii looks like, Donghae hopes he is a good person inside and out.

He was already standing there, Lee Hyukjae. He checked his watch and smiled when the long hand finally reach number 12. It's already 1
o'clock. Donghae will be arriving in no time. He blew air to calm his excitement. He looked to the side and saw a guy running
towards him. He swallowed. He cannot describe the face yet. And there closer and closer. He felt like his breathing will be
stopping any second. Donghae... he has come. He thought.

"Donghae shii-" he looked to the side as the one running run pass him and didn't even spend a glance. "I guess not." he sighed and
chuckled. Is he that anxious to meet Donghae?
It's still early and he has a lot of time to wait. He made sure his schedule is free for the whole day. He looked up and looked
down once again. It's a good thing he decided to bring a cap because the sun is so excited as well, brightening the whole school
with its rays and burning his skin with too much warmth.

He wish Donghae will come soon, he promised himself he'll treat Donghae some ice cream or smoothies to ease the overly hot summer
afternoon. "why is Donghae shii taking so long?" He looked at his watch... and smiled... only a minute has passed by. Silly!
