---That familiar face was Jay who despite the years remained the same...He shivered inside and tried to hide it only to break into cold sweat.  Somehow he was glad that Jay didn't remember or recognize him. he felt so indebted to him and gratefull and being on his team was the smallest thing for someone who changed his life to the better.---

            Taemin proceeded with the introduction giving more information about Jongup and how they met: “well this is my friend Jongup who just came back from the USA after his dad got a job here. we used to attend the same dance school  when we were young before he left for the states three years ago…”

“yeah that’s right … and we met just yesterday,’ added JongUp timidly.

Taemin: “you know those street dancers right in the hood just down town…,they have some of the toughest dance competitions ever, and …,” he kept dragging on till he got hit by Minzy at the back of his head as in ‘go to the straight point …” Taemin looked at her annoyed but soon carried on: “Anyways, I was hanging out there among some pretty girls till they began screaming like crazy when this person started dancing. At first, I wasn’t hooked but as soon as I looked closely, I recognized him and I tell you he is no joke…this guy here put them to shame with an amazing freestyle…that was mad bro!!” complementing him. Jay didn’t say anything and walked away:

“Jay, where are you going?” asked Minzy as she followed him.

“we have to see those skills of his if he was to be part of the team…” replied Jay.

“but, hyung we have class now?” reminded him Taemin.

“that’s right, so our Jongup here has less than two minutes to show us what he’s made of,” explained Jay.

           In this small space, just around the corner behid the gym, they gathered up along with some curious students; Jongup started dancing without hesitation with a freestyle that projected his overwhelming charisma which unexpectedly blew up out of proportion just the exact opposite of his timid personality he displayed earlier. Everybody started shouting and clapping causing some chaos as the audience grew largertill they were separated by the school’s principle running from afar. Fortunately, no one got caught.

             While everyone was catching his breath, Jay approached Jonup and said: “you did great…welcome to the club…I’m Jay by the way, and this is Minzy: (who made a ‘v’ sign smiling at him)…welcome to our school,” said enthusiastic Minzy.

          After classes were over, Jay told his friends that he was going somewhere before they could meet up again as usual for rehearsals. In fact, he remembered how Chaerin was so quiet during the whole day...she was totally absent minded like something was bothering her. He saw her pack her things hurridly and leave, so he followed her keeping a fair distance so as she would not notice him. she started running like she was late till she reached this small diner and disappered from Jay's sight until someone shouted:

"Excuse me, please...," shouted the customer waving at this girl in uniform behind the counter, "can you bring some water, please" he asked

"right away, sir" as she bowed.

Jay hid behind a tree just in front in this discret spot and kept wa&tching her working till it was almost seven in the evening.

           After she was finished, Chaerin headed home looking pale and seemed to have trouble walkingfrom tiredness while Jay couldn't help but watch as she hardly climbed the stairs. Jay stretched his arms from time to time in a way to catch her if she was to fall and protect her. this poor neighbourhood began to impose its sinistre atmosphere as it was getting darker. As they walked deeper into those narrow streets, he felt like those walls will crash him, those walls which screamed hardships and sufferings were about to suffocate him. the roads were getting tighter surrounded by some old buildings which seemed like they were about to fall in any minute with hardly enough light: it was the darkest place he could have ever been into.

            He could hear people shouting, couples fighting and at some corners children crying while in other places some random drunk men fighting. Suddenly, an old lady screaming Chaerin's name from afar got his entire attention as she run towards her:

"Ya! Where did you go you bad girl...hurry up your little brother has been sick all day long..." as she was shaking her viloently.

Starltled Chaerin run right away followed by Jay:

"Ya, what's wrong with you?" holding her sickened brother into her arms, "you're burning..." not knowing what was going on, Jay snatched her brother from her and carried him on his back running. While running, Jay took his phone out and called someone to wait for him with a car dow hill to go to the hospital.

             At the hospital:

             While they took her brother in, Chaerin tried to convince herself of not fainting and despite being tired and worried she had to stay strong. But Chaerin couldn't do that as she broke into tears kneeling on the floor. Jay run to her and took her into his arms...they stayed there on the floor as he hugged her tight while she couldn't sto from crying:

"don't worry, everything's gonna be alright" reassured her.

"scream if you want to, cry your heart out and let it go all at once...cry as much as you can," he continued.

           He kept telling her to cry to let out the pain because he knew that what she was going through was bigger than her just worrying about her brother: this girl's life was hard enough and too much to handle for such a lonely person, he thought silently as he held her. He could feel her shivering as if her whole body was drained into pain.

           ---Of course Jay missed the rehearsal and his friends started worrying and kept calling him but he wouldn't answer because he knew somehow that Chaerin wouldn't let  anyone know about her situation and this somehow reminded him of someone he knew.---
