“I am sorry, Raymond.” I whispered, fearing my apology would not be accepted.

“No, is my fault actually,” Raymond disagreed with me. “For my silly brain to think that father is going to love me. Also, to follow his instruction to harm someone I once took pity of. You know, Paige. After this incident, I want to thank you, even, because you make me face things that I never wanted to before. These problems that I tried to avoid, it never ran away from me. But now, I found the answer to it. ”

Raymond turned and smiled at me, like I was his lucky charm. I grinned at his face, thankful that he found his way out through the dark tunnel. His life started at the wrong beginning, and he entered into a dark and long tunnel that is like never ending. I might be his guiding light to help him find the way out and step out into the open space. His open space is his freedom, his answer to all his questions. We stayed and talked the whole afternoon, till the rain stopped and the sun set.

“Is that why you helped me?” I asked, thinking back about how Jonghyun got the information from Raymond.

“Maybe, maybe not,” Raymond shrugged “When I just received the mission, I didn’t know it was you. Then when I saw you, you looked like how you were 13 years ago, the look in your eyes. That was when I started to investigate you. I hesitated to continue my mission but it was father’s instruction, I could not ignore. At the last moment, I backed out. I called him, and told your bf where you were.”

“Thank you, Ray.” I said gratefully.

“I should be the grateful one. By the way, how’s that leg?” Raymond asked, feeling sorry for hurting me.

“Manageable,” I looked at bandaged leg remind me of Jonghyun’s comical face, while babbling about his worries for me. “Ah! What time is it?” Speaking of Jonghyun reminds me of the boys and I was ordered to call Jonghyun.

“It is nearly 6.” Raymond replied, looking at the big clock at the stadium. “Come on, let me send you.”

“I can get a cab on my own,”

“Well, treat it as an apology for your leg?” Raymond stretch out his hands for me in the most gentleman manner. I rolled my eyes and took the hand and with the help of Raymond, I limped towards his car. He got into the driver seat and we are off.
