A Better Day
Talk To Me (Sequel to Don't Ignore Me)A Better Day
“Hi,”
Myungsoo paused his actions before looking up at whoever the person was. He had actual work assigned to him already though it was just his first week in school. Well, things were taking its own course and went very well but very very quickly too. He had met two friends from his Photography class – a Korean friend named Minhyuk and a local named Kevin.
Minhyuk had lived in the States since he was 10 so he was very fluent in English whereas Myungsoo was still trying his best to communicate with his peers.
He looked up and saw a medium height girl with long wavy hair and big eyes. She looked very familiar, a Korean too? However, she was fairly good-looking and attractive. Minhyuk would like her, he thought since Minhyuk was looking for a girlfriend, a bit too desperately.
“Hello,” He replied courteously and waited for the latter to reply. However, he also prayed that she wouldn’t talk to him for too long because his English was still limited and he could spout gibberish at any time and he didn’t want to risk looking and sounding like a retard with his failed English.
She giggled for awhile with pink cheeks – similar to her pink skirt. Upon realizing that the girl in front of him was just staring at him, he scratched the back of his head, clueless about what to do next. Well, this was getting nowhere but awkward land. What the heck is awkward land? Shut up, stupid brain. He cleared his throat, still waiting for the girl’s response.
“I’m Yeon Hee, a Korean too!” She spoke in Korean and held out her hands with a pretty smile. Yeah, she was pretty no doubt. But Myungsoo didn’t really care, he has a girlfriend already and he wasn’t planning on changing that fact, unless Hyeri changes her status to Kim Myungsoo’s wedded wife.
“Oh, I’m Myungsoo. Nice to meet you. I’m new here, you?” he said with a little more enthusiasm.
“It’s my second year already, I’m taking the dance course here, so yeah I’m a dancer… You’re taking the Photography course, I see,”
Obviously.
“Ah, yeah, I got a scholarship from Korea. You see, I just started school here this week,” His right eye twitch oddly with his crooked smile. Hyeri has always loved that crooked smile of his.
Surprisingly, Yeon Hee had managed to keep the conversation going on between the two of them. Myungsoo didn’t mind because they were conversing in Korean. Minhyuk even joined them and they became good friends straight away. Surprisingly, it was the first time Minhyuk had met Yeon Hee though he had been schooling there for 2 years too. He wondered why he had never noticed such a beautiful lady before. It seemed that Myungsoo was right, Minhyuk had really took interest in Yeon Hee. He smiled upon knowing that if they really became a couple in the near future, it would mainly be because of them.

Like what Hyeri had said the other day, she was determined to make up with Hayeon. However, every time she approached Hayeon, she would either run away or shun her off, making Hyeri feel unwanted. Despite that, Hyeri’s determination was still strong and her hopes weren’t affected. We’re still going to be best friends.. Best friends forever, right?
She smiled ecstatically when she spotted Hayeon at her locker from afar. There weren’t many students in the hallway because it was getting late and almost everyone had returned home. Besides, who wants to stay late in school with the 4 enclosed walls looking at you every single millisecond?
“Yeon!” She exclaimed loudly, not minding the judgmental stares from the other students. Hayeon casted a look at her direction and quickly tried to walk away. But Hyeri has managed to catch up with her, muttering, “We need to talk, really.”
Hayeon let out a sigh, as if she had given in and relented. “Let’s find somewhere to sit first,”
Thus, they walked to a nearby bench silently but the quiet didn’t bother them.
“Hey, look, I’m really sorry. I know you’re mad and stuff, but you need to hear me out okay?” Hyeri said quickly in one shot and Hayeon chuckled at her silly best friend.
“What?”
“You always do that when you’re nervous… You talk really fast,” Hayeon smiled, recalling all those incidents in the past where Hyeri would talk really quickly. Most of the times, if she recalled correctly, Hyeri would talk really fast when Myungsoo was mentioned or involved in the topic.
“I’m sorry, Yeon.. I’ve been thinking and reflecting for the past few days, maybe I really did neglect you because of Myungsoo. Maybe I really did spend too much time with him that I haven’t been hanging out with you, I haven’t been going shopping with you, I never really talked to you on the phone for hours because I was too busy with Myungsoo. Maybe this just shows how bad of a best friend I am…”
She faced Hayeon and watched her decipher everything that she herself had mentioned. Maybe she really does shoot off when she was nervous.
“But if you can give me one more chance- I… I’ll promise to spend more time with you? I-I know this is very very very selfish of me, I’m a selfish , yes okay, but-” Her train of words were interrupted by a sudden
