Prologue

‘Im Yoona, wake up now! It’s time for school!’

‘Mom, can’t I rest for a bit?’

‘It’s your first day to school, so you can’t be late!’

‘But mom…’

‘No “buts”, now get up and brush your teeth!’

Yoona slowly moved away from the bed and went to the bathroom. She always hated school like any ordinary kids do. It’s also the reason of why she scored an ‘F’ on her report card and got sent away to a band 2 school. Her mother, however, was not the kind of person that would wanted to leave Yoona alone all day long, but the fact that she is only capable of being a pilot, she doesn’t have much choice but to do what was meant to be.

‘Hurry up! Yoona, you’re going to be late!’

‘I’m coming, mom’

Yoona got herself dressed up and was ready to go.

‘It’s another school day.’ she thought as she got into her mother’s car.

They arrived to her new school. You can simply sense the smell of a band 2 school because there are people (in their uniform) smoking near by the school’s car park.

‘Well, here you are, my dear, take good care of yourself and I will drive you home today.’

‘K… mom.’

She walked through the school gate and got into the school office.

‘Im Yoona, you’re the new student. Alright, follow me.’ 

Yoona followed the staff up the corridor and into her new classroom. It was nothing special: only a few desks and chairs and a blackboard in the front.

‘Are you the new student?’ asked the teacher

‘Yeah…’

‘Alright class, we have a new student today and she is going to introduce herself.’ She turned to Yoona and said ‘Alright Yoona, give a brief introduction about yourself to the class now.’

Yoona wasn’t expecting a self – introduction to the class.

‘Um… Hi, everyone, I am Im Yoona… nice to meet you guys… um… ‘ But Yoona could say no more, so the teacher just excuses her to her new seat.

‘You can sit over there, on the right corner’ her teacher pointed

Yoona walked slowly to her seat. Suddenly, she heard footsteps of someone coming in. It was a girl with strait long black hair.

‘You are late again’

‘Yeah I know’ said the girl

‘Today, you will be sitting beside our new student, Im Yoona. Go on, take your seat and stop wasting your time now.’

The girl walked slowly to her seat beside Yoona.

‘Oh, an by the way Yoona, this is Kwon Yuri.’
