“Hey”

She looked up and saw Jonghyun’s head peaking in

“Mrs. Nagashi moved the 2PM to 3:30 later, want to have lunch first?”

She looked at her PC where she’s actually working on the Jeju home of the said client. She takes lead on residential spaces while Jonghyun works on commercial spaces however, most of the time, they ask each other’s opinions on the projects that they are working on.

“Yeah, I think I’m about to go blind trying to fit that massive jacuzzi that she bought inside her house. Specifically inside the bedroom, if I do that she and her husband might as well buy a double deck single bed to fit everything that they want inside”

She massaged the back of her neck and stood up to get her bag. Jonghyun walked ahead as she followed, she waited a bit as he left an instruction to his secretary. The restaurant that the frequent in is only situated in front of their office building so it was so easy for them to get there, when the hostess saw them, they were immediately ushered to their regular table and ordered their usual. They talked about work stuff until Jonghyun asked

 “So Yonghwa?”

Joohyun looked at her bestfriend and scoffed “what did Yoona tell you now?”

“Nothing”

“Then why are you asking?”

“I just thought, you know, he contacted you already”

“Bro, the dude got my number a week ago and he never contacted me not once within this week, it’s another Friday and I haven’t heard from him since”

“He’s probably busy”

“Yeah well that project should really make him busy, heck if we got that amount of deal, I won’t even go home”

“But you two look so cozy last week”

“Jonghyunah, we were just talking about regular stuff, what’s cozy about that?”

“You look happy that’s all and Yoona said they noticed her boss a lot brighter than the usual”

She moved both their glasses as their order was placed in front of them

“What does that have anything to do with me?”

“Well you were the last one he spoke with before that “change” came along”

She picked up her chopsticks and wiped it with tissue “You yourself said that they have to stop matching me with guys, why are you suddenly pushing him to me?”

“I’m not!” he drank his water and began picking his food “I was weighing your options”

She made an annoyed face “And here I thought you were really protecting me”

“I am! As your bestfriend it’s my duty to filter men that comes along for you”

“Apparently you weren’t able to filter Dr. Douche last week”

“Well yeah, that’s an exception, I haven’t given Tiffany a piece of my mind”

“Tsk, I already did and she already apologized, I swear, I seem to be a magnet for bad men”

“No you’re not, it just happens that way. And I think that Yonghwa dude looks nice”

“Yeah, that’s what you said about that old high school friend of yours”

“Hey, I know that was one bad date”

She almost choked swallowing her scallops “ONE?! Dude you set me up with two! And it was two out of two! One tried to kiss me as we were saying goodbye and one brought me to his apartment on the first date, do I look like an easy girl? Tell me the truth Lee Jonghyun do I look like I sell something more than our design?”

He looked at her best friend’s dejected face, he sometimes wonder why that was the case with her, she dresses appropriately, barely have any indecent clothing, of which he already saw since all her night outs are with him and his wife and their other friends. She doesn’t talk vulgarly and always keeps her decorum and poise in check. He smiled at her in understanding as he tapped her hands

“No you don’t, men are just trash in general”

“But not you” she was on the verge of crying right there if it weren’t for the people who was eating there at that time who also works for them

“Well tell Yoona that, especially after I forget to take out the recycles”

She laughed remembering how Yoona ate him alive last weekend for forgetting to take out the trash.

“But seriously Joohyun, we’re sorry, we’re just worried about you, we don’t want you to feel lonely”

“Thanks but I’m not, I’m okay, really, I have a lot of nieces and nephew from you guys to keep me entertained until I grow old and gray”

“Tsk! No you won’t! Yoona will be adding an extra room for you at the house so you two can play Go Stop the rest of your life”

“Gomawo” she smiled wide tapping her friends face
