How well do you know SHINee?

SHINee are a very well known band, with over 70% of our participants reporting that they know them well or okay, and only 8% not knowing them at all.

The Grading System

We gave the answers different grades, depending on how well people know them:

• 3 = well
• 2 = okay
• 1 = only a little
• 0 = not at all

Then we can look at how well different fans know them. 3 means that everyone knows them well and 0 not at all. If people on average know them "Okay" the grade is 2, and if on average "Only a Little" it's 1.

SHINee is generally very well known among our participants, but those who started earlier in K-pop seem to know them better than those who only started recently.

SHINee is well known in all of the regions, but especially well in S-America (followed by N-America, Europe and Australia).

SHINee as a Favorite Band

Now we will look at the fans who listed SHINee among their favorite bands!

We show our results for different regions, genders and ages, where for each region, the portion of participants that chose SHINee as their favorite is shown. For example, we look at all fans from Australia and see how big a percentage of Australians lists SHINee as a favorite group. Then we do the same for people from other regions, and different genders and ages.

Half of our N-American participants list SHINee as their favourite, and almost half of the Europeans as well.

SHINee are pretty popular among all the genders, especially those with other gender.

SHINee are most favoured among our oldest participants. Interestingly, if we take all age-groups except 26-35, there seems to be a linear relationship between age and the proportion of people with SHINee as favourite.
