Get Some Rest
Talk Byungjoo and Sanggyun arrived at Xero's door, the sun glaring bright into their eyes as the evening began to fade away. After what felt like ten minutes the boy had finally opened the door, inhaling a surprised gasp once he noticed the unfamiliar figure next to Byungjoo.
"This is Sanggyun, my brother." Byungjoo laughed as Xero let the two of them in, who laughed as well. "I thought you two should meet since he's moving in with me."
Xero titled his head in questioning with a quick squint of the eyes.
"I uh... Got kicked out." Sanggyun answered.
"They had a fight in the middle of the lobby at work. And uh... I yelled at grampa..." Byungjoo said, heading towards the kitchen for a glass of water.
Sanggyun's posture shifted as his eyes lit up. "You dissed grampa dude? What'd you say?"
Xero put his weight on the arm of the living room's couch, observing their conversation.
"I told him he has anger issues and to stop being a jerk."
"Good."
"I meant it though. I am so sick of our family falling apart because somebody did this, or somebody did that. We might as well go our seperate ways if no one's willing to fix anything." Byungjoo stopped himself, looking back to Xero. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean that."
Sanggyun raised a brow at the sudden apology, taking notice of Xero, whose energetic appearence turned into that of a meloncholy gloom. "Should I... Go..?"
The boy shook his head while waving his hand, telling him to stay.
"Okay... Let's talk about something else then." Byungjoo said walking into the living room, desperately trying to change the subject. "Xero, is there anything you wanna know about Sanggyun?"
He shrugged with that cherry-like smile Byungjoo adored so much, shaking his head.
"What about you Sanggyun?"
"Yeah, why are you mute?"
Xero laughed as Byungjoo shoved him, pointing to the other for an answer.
"You want me to tell him?" Byungjoo asked, which was quickly confirmed by the boy. He redirected his attention to Sanggyun. "I'll tell you later. Go home and get some rest."
Watching Sanggyun pull out of the driveway through the window, Byungjoo hurried back to Xero, taking a hold of his hands and kneeling below him, looking into his eyes. "I'm sorry for what I said... We just had a rough day at work." He smiled. "And you have nothing to worry about because Sanggyun is your family now."
Xero smiled with teary eyes that looked down at Byungjoo, nodding, then pulled him up and wrapped his arms around him.
"You'll love him." Byungjoo smiled.
