Today Kris’s family, Byeol’s grandfather and Byeol went back to Seoul. Kris grandparents came along too, because they would like to have more time with Seojin and Byeol. They missed Sehun too.

It was around dinner time when they arrived at the airport. Kris suggested Byeol and her grandfather to eat at their mansion. They agreed to it and they left the airport together.

“See, there are no different between yours and mine.” They heard Sehun say when they arrived.

Hyemi walked out of the kitchen and she froze like a deer that just got catch. Sehun took over the plate and he placed it on the table.

Kris dad fake cough and Sehun looked up.

“Oh, hello, everyone. I thought that you’ll be back after the dinner.” Sehun said

“We decided to eat at home so we came back earlier and it seems like it was a good choice.” Kris dad said and he eyed the food on the table.

“We’re having a cooking competition. Oh, and this is my girlfriend Hyemi.” Sehun said and he pushed Hyemi besides him.

Hyemi defrosted and she immediately bowed 90 degrees.

“Hello, I’m Hyemi. It’s nice to meet you.” Hyemi said

Byeol quickly walked to Hyemi and she hugged her.

“I missed you so much.” Byeol said

“She’s beautiful. I’m Sehun’s dad.” Kris dad introducted

“I’m his mom and these are his grandparents.” Kris mom said

“It’s nice to meet you.” Hyemi said and she bowed 90 degrees again.

“Do I smell something?” Byeol asked and Hyemi’s eyes widened

“My ginseng chicken soup.” Hyemi said and she quickly walked in the kitchen

“What my ginseng chicken soup.” Byeol said and she quickly followed Hyemi

The elders chuckled at how cute they are and they decided to sit down.

“I’m so hungry” Kris said and he was about to eat a kimbap before Sehun slapped his hands away.

“What was that for?” Kris said irritated

“We’re having a cooking competition. Now, you can be the judge so wait. We need to prepare. Hyemi, please help me to bring these foods back in the kitchen” Sehun said

Hyemi came out and they took the plates back in the kitchen. At this moment Byeol came out with a bowl of ginseng chicken soup.

“Yah. Nobody can start eating the food before I say so.” Sehun said and he took the bowl away from Byeol.

“No~ Hyemi’s cooking is the best. You’ll never be as good as Hyemi. I’ll choose Hyemi anyway so give back my ginseng chicken soup.” Byeol cutely whined

‘Byeol is so cute when Hyemi is around. I thought that side of Byeol disappear after one year.’ Kris thought.

“I still didn’t put salt in the ginseng chicken soup.” Hyemi said

“I put it myself.” Byeol said and giggled.

“Be a good girl and sit down.” Sehun said and he pushed a whining Byeol to sit beside Kris.

“Just wait a little.” Kris said and he her head.

Byeol pouted but nodded. Sehun and Hyemi prepare the utensils and plates. They put three blue and three red sticks before everyone.

“Ok. Welcome to Sehun and Hyemi’s cooking competition. We’ve three rounds today. The first round is kimbap.” Sehun announced and he and Hyemi put two kimbap with different plates before everyone. One was on a red plate and the other was on a blue plate.

“Eat both of them. If you like the one on the red plate, then put a red stick in this box. The same applies to the blue one.” Sehun said

Everyone obeyed and put a stick in the box. Sehun put the box beside the dinner table so that nobody can touch it before he announced the next dish.

The second dish was kimchi fried rice and the third dish was ginseng chicken soup. They put the dishes on the table after the competition so that everyone could eat properly.

“Now, I’ll announce the results of the competition.” Sehun said and he put the first box in the dinner table and opened it to count the stick

“The winner of the first round is Hyemi.” Sehun announced and Byeol high fived with Hyemi

The winner of the second and third round was Hyemi also.

“I told you. You can’t win from Hyemi.” Byeol said and Sehun pouted.

“You already improved a lot. You just need to practise more.” Hyemi said and he hugged Sehun

“Yes, that’s right. At least you know how to cook now. All thanks to Hyemi.” Kris mom said with a smile.

Whhaa..whaa.. Seojin started to cry and Byeol picked him up.

“I think Seojin is sleepy.” Byeol said

“You and your grandfather can stay here for tonight. It’s already getting late.” Kris dad suggested and they agreed.

“I’ll take Seojin to his bed then.” Byeol said and she left the dinner room.

“I never saw this side of Byeol. It’s really cute.” Kris mom said

“Byeol will only show this side of her when all her guards are down. She’ll show this side if you gain enough of her.” Hyemi said

“She didn’t show this side of her to me anymore” Kris murmured, but everyone got it.

“That’s your own doing.” Hyemi said

“I already regret what I did and I already told her that I’ll never leave her.” Kris said

“Do you think that’s enough? She only forgave you easy, because of Seojin.” Hyemi said

“What do you mean?” Kris asked

“Byeol is always insecure about her surroundings. She won’t anyone easy. It took me 10 years to gain her fully. She you fully before, but you lose it all after you left her. She built a thick wall around her that only me and my parents can go in. Do you really think that she breaks her walls that easy for you? She just want to have minimum time with you alone. You didn’t notice that?”  Hyemi said and Kris looked down.

Everyone was silent for a while.

“Uhmm…I think that I need to go. Let’s getting late.” Hyemi said

“I’ll bring you.” Sehun said and they left the table.

“Kris, it’s okay. We all didn’t gain her fully. You went through her wall once and I believe that you can go through it again.” Kris dad said and they left the table.

Kris walked to their room and he saw that Byeol was already sleeping. Kris changed in his pajama and he carefully crawled in the blankets.

“I’m sorry. You only accept to be with me because of Seojin? You still didn’t forgive me? What do I need to do to gain your back? Please tell me and forgive me. I can do everything.” Kris said and he started to tear up.

Byeol woke up after she heard some noises and her back started to get wet.

“Oh, Kris, what are you doing? Why are you crying?” Byeol said and she tried to see his face.

She the lamp beside the bed to see Kris clearer.

“Hyemi told us everything. You only accept to be with me because of Seojin.” Kris said and Byeol looked down.

“I really love you. How can I gain your ?” Kris asked

“I don’t know. I just have a feeling that I can’t you. I’m scared that you’ll leave me again. I’m scared to lose Seojin. I’m scared that someone will tear us apart.” Byeol said

“I won’t leave you and nobody can tear us apart.” Kris said

“It’s my feeling. You can’t take my feelings away just by telling me this. Just give me time.” Byeol said

“I’ll show you that I love you and I won’t leave you with the rest of my life.” Kris said
