Mrs Min hadn’t told Yoongi the whole truth; she’d already found someone that she felt was perfect for him. She had phoned the second location a week ago, asking if they had anyone within the age range that she could adopt, and upon hearing about a little boy named Taehyung, she immediately wanted to meet with him. Unfortunately, because of her schedule, she wasn’t able to do anything but speak on the phone with him, but even his voice had won her over instantly; he sounded sweet and excited, not to mention completely surprised to have a phone call. She replayed the overheard conversation in her head as the car continued on its way to the second building,

“A-are you sure it’s for me?”

“Yes Taehyung, they asked to speak to you”

“But, there’s no one who knows me! Who would be calling to talk to a stranger?”

“Well, give them a chance and they might not be a stranger for much longer”

“Okay!!”

She smiled to herself as she remembered the fast shuffle of feet before the phone was picked up from whatever surface it was placed upon.

Yoongi looked up at his mother through his hair, a one-sided smirk instinctively appearing on his face as he looked at the small smile on hers. His expression slowly turned into a frown as he tried to figure out why exactly she was smiling; they had just left one building with no luck on finding his friend, and were heading to another likely disappointment.
