“Sorry I took so long, I couldn’t fit all my toys in the suitcase properly, and I wanted to fold your clothes seeing as I damaged them.”

Yoongi stared at him, a wave of emotions hitting him all at once. He was mad, happy, confused, bewildered, and above all; relieved.

“I… I didn’t think you wanted to come with us.”

“Huh? Oh, um, well…” Taehyung looked at his feet, “I spoke to my friends and they said that as long as I can come visit that they don’t mind.”

Yoongi smirked a little, then remembered how he had felt just 5 minutes ago.

“Yah! You could have said what you were doing! We were just about to leave without you! Running off like that without an answer; I thought you were staying here!”

Taehyung stared open-mouthed, then bit his lip nervously as he realised that he hadn’t actually spoken his thoughts earlier.

“Ah. I was saying it in my head, but I guess I forgot to say it out loud.”

“You don’t say.”

Taehyung looked confused, “no… I didn’t say. That’s what I’m saying now.”

Yoongi lifted an eyebrow, before scoffing, “forget it, it doesn’t matter. Do you need help with that?” He gestured to the suitcase behind Taehyung.

“No, I’ll be fine! Plus, I like the noise it makes going down the stairs,” he giggled softly before he began to drag it behind him again. Yoongi watched as he bounced his head along to the sound of the wheels bumping off of the stairs, as if it were the greatest beat in the world.

When he got to the bottom of the stairs, he held out the clothes to Yoongi.

“They’re still not completely dry, but you can wear those until they are!” He smiled broadly, before his expression turned serious, “are you sure you’ll have me?”

Yoongi was about to roll his eyes at the question; if he didn’t want him there, he wouldn’t have asked, would he? But he saw the sincerity in Taehyung’s eyes - which were searching his again – and realised that he wasn’t asking to be polite, he genuinely wanted to make sure that he was going to have a home to call his own.

Yoongi nodded before taking the clothes from his hand, feeling the warmth coming from the fabric. As he started picking at the jumper, which was definitely ruined, he felt a heavy warmth around his neck. He looked up to see Taehyung’s shoulder by his face, and realised that the younger was hugging him, for the second time that day.

“Thank you, hyung.”

The butterflies always came with that word, and Yoongi decided he’d never get bored of that feeling.

Mrs Min was standing with her hands clasped together in front of her face, her eyes tearing up at the scene that had taken place before her. She turned and hugged Hyori, surprising the young girl, who laughed nervously and hugged her back.
