Student Council

Good boy VS bad boy (VKook fanfic/BTS)

Unedited! Hello guys! So, you already know from the last chapter that Jungkook is now in the Student Council; I have absolutely no knowledge as I've never been a part of it, so most of it is just based on what I've read and heard, and I'm sorry if it's not close to how it really is, or how it works in your country. I just want to say that it's different from places to places (from what I've read) but this story is not professional, and far from perfect. I hope you'll understand.

Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy this chapter, and don't forget to vote & comment! Have a good day/night everyone .xx

Ⓑefore Math, Jungkook’s last class for the day ended, and their teacher called him up towards his front desk.

“Jungkook, come up here before you go,” Seokjin called when he announced the day was over for the rest of his classmates. As Jungkook packed his backpack and walked up to their homeroom teacher, Jimin also seemed to be planning on coming with him, which only made Seokjin frown. “I’m sorry Jimin, but this is about the student council, so I’m afraid I’ll have to tell you to wait outside the classroom.”

Carrot head went out, probably waiting for Jungkook to finish up, although he didn’t know why he waited for him in the first place.

“What is it?” he asked curiously, but he’d rather just escape than to have anything to do with the council.

“I have to give you this,” he chatted as he gave the younger male a map of papers. “It’s useful information you’ll need about meetings and such. Each class has a president as you already know where you are ours, and you’ll go to a meeting twice a week for such meetings to meet and discuss topics with the other classes’ presidents,” he explained whilst pointing at the different pages of the papers. “If you have any more questions, don’t be afraid to find me.” And with that, Jungkook’s teacher disappeared quickly out of the classroom in the speed of light.

The young boy stuffed the papers he received into his backpack as he exited the classroom; as he closed the door behind him, he nearly jumped to the roof as Jimin greeted him out of nowhere with a loud voice from just around the corner. “What the hell Jimin!” he cursed. “Don’t scare me like that.”

Jimin snickered. “It’s not my fault you’re easily scared,” he said innocently, “it’s not like I actually tried to scare you.” Somehow, Jungkook didn’t believe him; maybe it was the mischievous smirk on Jimin’s face that gave him away. “What did our teacher say?”

Jungkook frowned at the carrot head. “Why are you so curious about everything?” he asked.

“I like to know things,” he giggled.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows at him. “If you’re that curious you could’ve just joined the council yourself so I didn’t have to do this stupid ,” he muttered, obviously not happy being picked. Jimin pretended like he hadn’t heard him and walked along side with him to his locker. “What are you still doing here anyways?” he asked as he noticed he didn’t speak much.

“Waiting for you, of course,” he grinned back.

Jungkook sighed. This guy’s so clingy, he thought, as he didn’t even try to hide his scowl. “Jimin, Taehyung’s supposed to show me around at school today, remember? And I’d like if it’d only be us, you know?”

Jimin’s eyes had sunken at his remark, but Jungkook didn’t even feel bad about it. It wasn’t his fault he finally made Taehyung agree to be his friend; after his hard work, he wouldn’t like Jimin being around all the time.

“Oh, yeah, right,” he muttered, “sorry, I forgot.”

Jungkook forced a smile. “It’s okay. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Jimin nodded with a small wave, and finally disappeared from sight.

Not long after, Taehyung appeared with a big grin on his face towards Jungkook. “Hey! You didn’t forget,” he grinned.

Now Jungkook wasn’t forcing his smile anymore, but rather had to try and calm down to not grin like an idiot in front of his friend. “Of course I wouldn’t.”

The two boys walked around school where Taehyung explained where things were and what classroom held which subjects. Jungkook was glad by the fact that Taehyung’s class was always close by.

“Here’s where most of the student council meetings are held,” he informed as he pointed at a large room (the door was open, but no one was inside). Jungkook didn’t even notice he was glaring towards the room and rather tried to walk away from it immediately. Taehyung giggled as he noticed his behaviour. “Bad memories from it?” he asked curiously.

Jungkook sighed. “Something like that.” He didn’t feel like telling Taehyung he was just made the president for his class, as he didn’t want him to .

The males moved away from the classroom, ending up chatting more along the way, and eventually the tour ended.

The raven haired boy was sad it was over as he secretly wanted to ask Taehyung if he'd want to come over by dinner at his house, but he didn't want him to tell how torn his family was, and he wouldn't man up to actually ask him either, so they just ended up waving each other goodbye.

"See you tomorrow," Taehyung smiled, which made Jungkook nod. As he turned around, he was glad the other couldn't see his blushing grinning (and embarrassing) face, and hurried home again.

"I'm back!" Jungkook announced when he entered his aunt's house. He wasn't quite ready to call it his home yet.

"Oh, Jungkook-ah!" his aunt yelled further in. "Come to the kitchen sweetie!"

Obeying his only family member that wasn't dead or in jail (or maybe yet that was, in the boy’s opinion), Jungkook hurried over to the kitchen - a bit concerned - as he never knew what his aunt was up to.

"Jungkook, could you reach that for me?" she asked sweetly as she pointed at a box further up on the cabin above her head. A smile escaped his lips at her whilst softly shaking his head and reached for the box.

Aunt Hani was quite small, whilst the boy was tall - taller than her. He had inhabited his height from his father and luckily not his mother side of the family, which all of them were literally dwarfs.

"Thank you sweetie," she smiled and accepted the box. "How was your day at school?" she asked, "and yesterday? Sorry I didn't ask earlier, but you looked so frustrated and disturbed that I didn't want to ask about it until you'd calmed down."

Jungkook was shocked hearing this. Was he that obvious about being frustrated by Taehyung's previous behaviour? "You don't have to pretend acting like my mom you know," he muttered.

Aunt Hani's eyes widen at his comment. "Jungkook-ah," she said sternly, "I'm not acting like your mom, but I am allowed to worry and care about you. You're my responsibility now."

Jungkook felt bad immediately; he hadn't meant it like that. "I know," he said guilty, "I'm sorry aunt Hani," he apologised. "I'm just..." He didn't speak further. He didn't know how to explain his feelings. So much was going on in his head and feelings that he didn't know how to explain it, or even if he actually could.

"Aw, Jungkookie," she murmured as she placed the box on the counter and brought him in for a hug. "Don't apologise dear," she comforted, "I know it's tough on you. I'll try to not be so nosy and rather be your best friend than your mother," she joked with a smile.

It also made Jungkook smile with a snort following along. "Yeah, thanks aunt Hani."

The next following day was Wednesday and his first class was English and Math with Seokjin until it was lunch.

Jungkook sat in his seat quietly; ignoring what carrot head was talking about with his friends behind them, and rather tried to concentrate on reading his book where they were supposed to go through today.

He heard one comment from one of Jimin's friend that "the new kid" was a nerd by reading ahead. It didn't bother Jungkook though; it wasn't an insult. He'd rather be called smart than dumb.

"Jungkook?" he suddenly heard his name. He glanced over his shoulder where three pair of eyes were laid on him. "Are you busy after school?" Jimin asked excitedly.

Somehow, Jungkook felt a strong urge to lie. He was in fact free, but he knew they'd invite him to some place, and he didn't felt like spending much time with neither of them. Actually, he didn't want to spend time with anyone without the name of Kim Taehyung. Or should he say the one and only.

"Sorry, but yeah," he answered, trying to hold the eye contact to not seem guilty.

Jimin's smile dropped. "All right, that's okay. Another time, yeah?" Jungkook nodded slowly with a forced smile. He hoped that next time wasn't soon.

During the last ten minutes of Math, everyone was allowed to go early to lunch; everyone expect from Jungkook of course. "Jungkook," Seokjin had called him, "come over here for a minute.” When Jungkook arrived at his teacher's desk, he started folding through some papers. "After lunch there's a subject you have to choose. Other students from both this class and the other are mixed for their choice of subject, and naturally the classes are smaller than these usual ones," he explained. Jungkook couldn't help but to smile. Perfect, he thought, a smaller class was exactly what I need. "You can choose between these subjects, and write down your name on one of them."

Jungkook leaned over the paper and scanned through the list with his eyes and pen in his hand.

Spanish. No.

France. No.

International English. No.

Technology. No.

Chinese. No.

Printing and photography... His eyes scanned over the description of the subject. Photoshopping pictures, taking photos, etc. (Practical subject.)

Printing and photography. Perfect.

Jungkook wrote down his name on the said subject, and shoved it forwards to his teacher. "All right. The class’ at every Wednesday after lunch as the last subject for the day," he announced and packed the paper in his bag again. "By the way, did you read through the student council map I gave you?"

Jungkook's eyes widen; he had completely forgotten about it as soon as he got back to his aunt's house. "Not yet," he admitted.

"There's a meeting tomorrow after school hour. Go in the opposite classroom from here to make it to the meeting," he informed him, which Jungkook bowed gratefully to. "And make sure to read it tonight." The boy nodded in response.

Finally he was free from Seokjin and bought his food in the cafeteria and sat with Taehyung all the way back, as usual.

"What took you so long?" he asked curiously.

"Our teacher held me back to enter a subject after lunch," he answered whilst rolling his eyes.

"What subject did you pick?" he asked hopefully.

Jungkook also hoped it was the same as Taehyung. "Printing and photography."

Taehyung suddenly stood up and cheered, as he wanted Jungkook to high-five him. "Me too!" he nearly screamed.

For a boy that was alone a lot, he surely didn't seem to care whether people glanced in their direction or not; Jungkook couldn't help but to grin and cheer as well. He was glad he could see Taehyung every Wednesday now. Printing and photography had suddenly become his favourite subject, and it hadn't even started yet.

As the new class started, he noticed there weren't a lot people from his class there. Actually, there weren't a lot of people there at all. They were around ten students put together, most from Taehyung's class. And no carrot head.

"It's so relaxing being so few," Jungkook sighed silently in relief. He didn’t dislike many students around him, but he had always been an introvert, and rather enjoy feeling free and alone than being surrounded all the time.

Taehyung smiled beside him. As expected, he sat alone, which Jungkook hoped for, so he could sit beside him all year.

Their teacher arrived shortly after and started explaining shortly what it was about and gave them their first task, mostly to Jungkook as the others had already heard this from the first lesson.

"Seems easy enough," Jungkook grinned as he was handed a school laptop and had to Photoshop some pictures together by a theme they each were given.

Jungkook thought he was doing a pretty good job, especially by the fact that it was his first time doing it, but when he subtly glanced over at Taehyung's work, his jaw literally dropped. "Oh my god," he had whispered out loud without meaning to.

Taehyung worriedly looked at him. "Is it bad?" he asked nervously.

The dark haired male quickly shook his head with his hair flapping from side to side, eyes still wide open. "None at all. It's really good," he complimented him. Taehyung smiled (and blushed) at his remark. "I completely lost confidence right now," he snickered at himself, but Taehyung didn't seem to find it funny at all.

"I'm sorry," he apologised, as he looked all sad and guilty as if it was his fault.

"What?" Jungkook asked surprised. "Don’t apologise, it's a compliment! It means I'm no match for you," he explained further, but Taehyung still seemed apologetic.

The class ended smoothly; Jungkook was praised a lot by the teacher for it being his first time. She also seemed to be happy about Taehyung finally having a seatmate and it’d be easier to hand out group tasks. She had admitted to Jungkook she was afraid he’d be alone, as she had known him since he was in his first year, and was actually his class’ homeroom teacher ever since he started on this school, and she was often worried about the boy. She didn’t want him to tell Taehyung that though, so Jungkook kept it to himself when they decided to walk each other home until they had to part ways.

“See you tomorrow,” Taehyung smiled with a wave as he started walking in another direction when Jungkook had to just continue the road. He felt a strong desire to call out for him to come with him, but he fought against it.

There’s no way he’d come with me.
