Common Ground was rather small. It was a weekday evening so the place was not packed at all, and she liked that. She unexpectedly bought a lot from what she had planned. From figure toys, two skirts that she swore she kinds of need, and a coat for the next season.
She spotted a flower shop, covincing herself that putting blooms around their house won't be too bad. She got a handful of peonies, dahlias, and white tulips. And since she can't help it, she also gave in to buying the pastel bouquet arrangement that has lilies and freesias that comes in the softest shades of lilac, peach and cream.
As she gets the bunch from the florist, and says her thanks a familiar voice uttered her name. "Emi."
It was Taeyong, geared in black from head to toe. He looked good, dangerously good - he thought. Delighted to see her, he flashes her a soft smile as he waits for her to respond.
"Taeyong. You're here. Uh... it's nice seeing... you."
"Yeah, I live in the area, remember?"
"Right." She forgot. Great.
"Hoarding flowers, again?"
"Oh, no. It's for our house. I mean... I bought it for my new place. With a housemate. That... place." She's obviously shaking, internally panicking, and obviously not making sense. Why does he have to be here? Out of all people.
