EPILOGUE

A year has passed since that day. Much has changed, the twelve courts have become no more, instead a council has been set up with members that have been voted for by the people. The old ways have changed and now all twelve elements are working together to better the daily life of everyone.

Today is the last meeting where ‘royals’ will exist. Most royals have voluntarily pledged to work together to a better world as civilians. Chanyeol and Kyungsoo have been voted onto the council. Taecyeon refused to join and was sentenced to hard labor. Their engagement was also desolved, and Autumn was now free.

“Are you sure you can do that?” Autumn asks as she walks down the steps of the new council building.

“They’ll survive without me.” Sehun laughs. He was also voted into the council but quickly declined. “I have better things to do.”

Autumn asks, “Like what?”

“Anything that you want to do; the possibilities are endless.”

“What do you want to do?” Autumn asks as she reaches for his hand.

“Me?”

Autumn nods.

“Anything?”

“Yes.”

“There is something I want to ask me?”

“What?”

“Ask me when I knew I loved you.”

Autumn stops walking causing her to be at the same eye level as Sehun turned around to face her several steps lower.

“When did you know you loved me?” Autumn asks slowly, wanting to know what in the world was going through his head.

He smiles making his eyes crinkle slightly at the corners of his eyes.

“I don’t remember. I’ve always just known.”
