"How long have you been at it?" 

"Ten hours so far, my poor tokki refuses to take the pain medicines." Bom sighed and patted her longtime friend Jiyong. 

"Wait why aren't you in there?" 

"She made me make sure that you and all her other close friends were here and didn't wait too long. Can I please leave you in charge of making sure that people don't get too loud in here?" Jiyong sighed and moved to go back into the hospital room.

"Wait..! Is Mama Park in there?"

Jiyong turned around and gave her a sheepish smile. "Both the Kwon and Park mothers were in there but she kicked them out when they told her she needed the pain killers. I think I might call in for back up soon. She is starting to turn on me due to the pain."

"Don't worry, you'll know what to do. If not, just yell for them." Bom snickered and sent him off as she took over a few of the seats in the waiting area. She was the first of Dara's friends to arrive. Sanghyun and Durami had left to go to the cafeteria to get some food.

Dami wasn't coming until later. 

She turned as she heard fast footsteps and a scruffy looking Youngbae walked in, still wearing half of his pajamas. 

"Am I too late?!" He shook his head and looked at Bom sleepily. 

"No, no they are still waitng." She laughed and pulled him to sit down. Who knew how much longer it would take.

Jiyong rushed down the hall when he heard a big groan echo bounce off of the white hospital walls. He gripped the door frame as he peered in to look at his wife, slightly curled up on her hospital bed. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead and nose. Her skin was pink and her face was scrunched up into a deep scowl. Her fists were balled up so tight that her knuckles were white. Her small frame shook as another wave of pain finished searing through her body. He could only chuckle softly as she grunted and spread herself out on the bed again. She struggled a bit as she balanced her weight with her swollen belly. 

He walked in and sat next to her, his hand didn't take long to find hers. He it softly with a smile still on his face. 

It took many years for them to get there. They started dating young, fell in love, fought, broke up, got back together and eventually married. She was the light in his life and kept him straight. He enjoyed every minute of it. It was perfect. 

He still remebered their wedding. It was before he decided to go enlist. They wanted to make sure they took advantage of every moment. She looked beautiful in her dress. Elegant, pure, perfect. She was the most amazing creature he had ever laid eyes on and he finally made her Mrs. Kwon. He had cried more than her as she walked down the aisle. His sister had for the following six months. 

During his enlistment they had planned out all the dates for them to meet up and she provided him with spare music sheets to use as much as he could. She refused to let his music die while he was off on duty. He wrote poems to her, songs of love, despair and loneliness. 

And just like that a few weeks before he was done she found out she was pregnant. She had been sick for weeks and taking multiple days off from her acting job. They had apparently conceived ruing one of their meet-ups. She had planned out a big surprise for him

She was wearing yellow, his favorite color, with accents of orange. Her make up was simple and her smile was more radiant than normal. He didn't hesitate to open his arms for a hug, but she stopped, holding the keys to her car out. 

"What is it baby?" He had asked, looking utterly confused.

"I left something in there for you, do you want to go get it?"

"Um, sure Dee." He stared at her before making a move out of the care they met at and headed off to her car. He spotted it and glanced at her, she was trailing off after him. 

"Oh wait, I forgot it at home, I guess we have to make a quick drive." She smiled and motioned for him to get into the car. 

He had been so confused, he drove in silence all the way back home. She kept glancing over at him. 

"Go on in, I'll be right over." She nodded and pretended to get something from the back of his car, sneaking over to go in through the back. 

He walked in slowly and searched for the light switch. All of the curtains had been pulled across the windows. The living room was dimly lit, but he could make out some balloons. 

"Dee?" He called out as he the lights. The room was decorated with gold balloons and a box right in the middle of the table.

Sandara walked in from the hall and raised her eyebrow. "Open the box Jiyong."He watched her walk in and she was glowing more than he had ever seen before. 

He looked taken aback for a moment. It took him another one to walk over to the box. He opened it slowly and suddely dropped the lid. Inside were a pair of baby boots and a card that read: "Get ready Daddy." 

"Sandara, what is this?" He stared in shock, a boot in each hand. 

"It means what you think it means." She laughed and moved closer to him. "I'm pregnant Jiyong. You're going to be a daddy."

It was everything he had ever wanted. The love of his life was carrying their baby and they couldn't be happier. He had actually made a little human and she was carrying them around and nurturning them. It was something he had created and he vowed to be there to protect them.
