CHAPTER:7

"Just one beer," I said to the bartender at the counter.
"Sica," I heard someone in my right say.
I looked at where the voice came from and smiled.
"dara," I said back. "We meet again."
"Yeah, cheers on that," she said. She offered her bottle to clank with mine.
"So," she whispered. "Are you trying to forget something again?"
I laughed. "No, funnily, I'm just here to accompany my good friend Hyuna over there."

dara didn't seem to believe me. Then she looked to her right, looking for someone, I think.
"Are you looking for someone?" I asked as I chugged a mouthful of beer.
"No," she deliberately answered. Though I could tell she was hesitating.
"Okay, if you say so," I said.
"Do you want to get some fresh air?" dara offered.
I choked. What she said was clearly what most girl would use in trying to get the girls they like to bed.

"I. .," I stuttered.
"I'm just trying to avoid someone," she pleaded.
"Okay, okay," I replied, grabbing her hand and leading her to the back door.
As we reached outside, she seemed to calm down.
I suddenly asked, "If you don't mind me asking, what was that about?"
dara inhaled and exhaled deeply. "That was literally nothing, sica. I just. . Wanted some fresh air."
"You said you were avoiding someone?"
She coughed nervously. "Okay. Don't tell anyone about this, okay? I may have a stalker. I think I saw her inside. But I'm still not sure."
"Oh," I said back. "That ."
"Yeah, I know," she said. Then she held my hand tight. It was then when I noticed that I was still holding hers.
"Thank you for everything, sica," she said.
"Yeah, that was nothing, really," I answered back.
"Can you give me a ride to the hotel I'm staying in?" dara asked.
I was kind of taken aback by the sudden turn of events.
I nodded my head. "Yeah, sure, of course, yeah, this way."

We were walking towards her hotel room while I was contemplating on whether to bail on the idea that dara might be up for something tonight or this was just a casual thing for her.
"1207, here we are," dara announced as we stopped in front of a white classic door.
I smiled back nervously, placing both of my hands inside my pockets.
"Do you want to come inside or something?"
My mouth was literally dry at the moment.
"I have a bottle of champagne we could share," she teased as she opened the door.
