Anna was browsing the push-up stalls nearby. There were so many items sold along the streets. Anna adored such push-up carts. She would find something interesting. In her hands was Tobey’s dinner. She scanned through the items carefully when she felt someone tapped on her shoulder.

She looked over her shoulder and a smile appeared on her lips. She turned slightly to give the person a hug and that someone returned with soft kiss on her shoulder.

“I found you.”

“I thought you were busy watching television?”

“I kinda miss you. So I walked around looking for you.”

“You’re such darling, baby.”

“So what are you looking at?”

Anna slipped her left hand with her husband and they intertwined their fingers together. They were such a happy couple and Anna found herself falling in love with him more and more. Eventually Tobey got her a cute bracelet and they headed back to the hotel together.

They were followed. Yuri and Tiffany were following Anna since just now. Even though when they saw a man by her side, they were still curious. Somehow Yuri walked ahead of them and then stopped Anna.

“I’m sorry. Can we talk for a second?”

Yuri stood in front of Anna who was curious and bewildered at the same time. Tobey was staring at Yuri but the woman ignored her.

“Yes? Can I help you?”

Yuri suddenly got tongue-tied. The woman was speaking in English and Yuri’s English wasn’t really that fantastic. But Tiffany stepped in.

“I’m sorry. We didn’t mean to interrupt your date but there are some questions we would like to ask.”

“Oh? What is it?”

“Um. Can I know your name?”

“Anna.  My name is Anna Maguire. This is my husband, Tobey.”

“Oh. You’re married?”

“Yes, we just got married.”

“I see.”

“Is there anything I can do for you?”

“Ah, you look like someone we know. Maybe we have mistaken. I’m sorry.”

“Sure. That’s not a problem.”

Anna excused herself and walked away from the couple. Tobey was still looking at them; his mind was filled with questions. Could they be Anna’s friends?

Yuri watched as Anna walked hand in hand with her husband. She was convinced that this woman wasn’t Yoona. Yoona’s English wasn’t really that perfect. This woman had perfect pronunciation.  Even Tiffany agreed with Yuri.

“Her English is too good.”

“Yeah, I don’t remember Yoona having such good command of English.”

“Yeah, she has better English than you.”

Yuri rolled her eyes at Tiffany. But Yuri was a little uncomfortable the way Anna’s husband was staring at them. He looked like as though he was offended and he didn’t like them at all. Till now, he was still watching them. Yuri was concerned with his glare.

“Is her husband jealous that we stopped his beautiful wife?”

“Why?”

“He has been staring at us for the longest time. Look, he’s still watching us.”

Tiffany looked over her shoulder and Yuri was right. His eyes never left them. And Tiffany was frowning away.

“He’s got to be kidding. We are women. Why should he get jealous of us?”

“No, I don’t think he’s jealous. He’s wary of us.”

“Why?”

“I wouldn’t know, baby. Maybe he doesn’t like it?”

Tiffany shrugged her shoulders and they both left the vicinity. But Yuri took a last look behind. The man was still staring at them as he entered the hotel. Yuri was deadly curious now.

“WTH. Why is he so cautious of us? Is there something he doesn’t want his wife to know?”

Yuri thought to herself.

Irene was holding a photo of Anna and her supposed husband. It was their wedding. She managed to print out the photo. She was staring at the photo for the longest time. Then she exclaimed.

“She looks exactly like Yoona Omma!”

She was amazed yet bewildered at how similar the two women resembled each other. Wendy was standing next to her. She was staring at the photo too. She still couldn’t understand why Irene was like this.

“She does look a lot like her. But she’s married. And there’s a saying that there will be another person who will look exactly the same as you but probably somewhere; half way around the world. This could be Aunty Yoona’s look alike?”

“I know. But I have this nagging feeling that she’s her.”

“Are you getting too obsessed now?”

Wendy turned to stare at her girlfriend. She was getting tired of Irene trying to prove that this woman in question was indeed Aunty Yoona. Wendy didn’t mean it in a bad way but the woman perished in the worst ways possible and even though they didn’t find her body; Wendy thought they should be respectful of the dead.

Then suddenly Wendy stopped. The authorities didn’t find her body. The bulb light in her brain ignited.

“Hang on. Her body was not found, right?”

Wendy grabbed her girlfriend’s wrist. Irene nodded.

“And only her seat was missing, right?”

“Yeah, everyone was accounted for except for Yoona omma.”

“Then could it possible that Aunty Yoona is safe and sound? And someone found her but she lost her memories or something?”

Irene finally got Wendy’s attention. That was the theory that ran through Irene’s mind all the while. Wendy’s eyes were really huge. And Irene rolled her eyes. Her girlfriend finally got it.

“IS THAT WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL ME?!”

“YES BABY! WHY ARE YOU SO DUMB?”

“YA! I MIGHT BE SLOW BUT I’M NOT DUMB! BUT BABY YOU’RE A GENIUS!”

“SHUT UP AND HELP ME FIND THE TRUTH!”

Suddenly Irene found herself being pulled along by Wendy to the library. They were literally running down the road. But the library was like a couple of blocks away.

“YA SEUNGWAN! WE CAN TAKE THE CAB!”

“STOP CALLING ME BY MY KOREAN NAME, JUHYUN!”

“YA! I’M STILL OLDER!”

The girls could get a little dorky at times.

Jessica sat on the bench. She remembered her conversation with the people at the restaurant she used to hang out with Yoona. The waitress saw someone who looked like Yoona. She came by the restaurant yesterday. And she took the photo they took together with her.

Tears were in her eyes. Her head was hurting. The brain was thumping hard against her skull. She couldn’t help but feeling lost. Did Yoona really come back? Was that woman she saw the last time; could she be Yoona?

If she was, then why didn’t she recognize her? If that was really Yoona, why was she hugging another man?

“Oh my god Yoona, where are you? My heart is dying now. If that’s really you, please come back to me. I cannot live without you.”

Jessica’s tears fell again. They have been; since yesterday.

Anna woke up and found herself alone.  Tobey was nowhere to be found. She scrunched her eyebrows together; probably confused with the sudden silence in the room. She got up anyway and was on the way to the bathroom when she saw a note on the table.

“Baby, I went out to get us lunch. I will see you later.”

 That was weird. This guy would always wait for her to wake up before they eat together. Tobey has been acting weirdly ever since they reached Seoul. Anna took a quick shower and put on her jeans comfortably.  She was getting bored so she decided to walk around.

In actual fact, Anna just wanted to go somewhere. The hotel was stuffy and Anna felt like she had to go somewhere. The uneasiness in her heart was prompting her to leave the hotel room. So Anna picked up her phone and grabbed the pen from the table. She wrote a message on the same paper that Tobey had wrote the message.

She slipped her phone at the back of her jeans pocket when she felt something. She pulled out the mysterious item and realized it was the polarid photo she took from the restaurant. She stared at the photo for the longest time.

“Who are you?”

She whispered to herself. The woman in the picture was standing so close to her. They looked intimate. But Anna wasn’t too sure if she was the same woman in that picture. Nevertheless she kept the photo back into her back pocket.

She left the hotel immediately and walked down the road.  She was going to nowhere but somehow her heart brought her to the nearest beach. She was taking her time as she took small steps towards the beach.  She removed her sandals so that she could bury her feet into the sand.  

She scanned around the beach and realized that she had been here before. The dejavu sank in immediately. The water breaker nearby was so familiar that Anna felt like she had been here a lot of times.

“Why is this place so familiar to me? Have I been here before? Why am I feeling like this? What is this strange feeling inside?”

Anna touched her heart and it ached. The sudden ache was too overwhelming that Anna’s tears just fell naturally. Shen then remembered the photo at the back of her jeans. She pulled it out and stared at it again.

“Do we have something in common? Or are we related somehow? Why each time I look at this photo, my heart felt like dying. Who are you? Where can I find you?”

Anna spoke softly to the photo – to that lady who stood next to her. Even if she wasn’t too sure if that woman in that photo was indeed her; but the other woman’s beautiful smile sent flutters to her heart. And then pain set in. It felt like as though Anna was missing her.

Just then, at the corner of her eye, somebody caught Anna’s attention. She looked over her shoulder immediately and was stunned. That somebody was a woman – the same woman in the photo. She was walking away from her. She looked forlorn.

Anna had the sudden urge.

“That’s her!”

Without hesitation, Anna ran after that woman. Her heart was beating rapidly. It seemed like the heart has stopped beating.

“What is this feeling again? Why? Why am I so excited to see her?”

Anna was bewildered but nevertheless, she ran after that woman. She needed to catch that person before it was too late.
