Twisting FateExcerpt:
Sehun pulled up near the summer house. It was late in the afternoon, the sun uniting with the sea in the west. The clear view of the sunset was so beautiful that I hopped off the car immediately and ran towards shore, not forgetting to remove my sneakers and feel my feet touch familiar ground. There was sand everywhere. There was our summer house. There was the familiar sound of crashing waves. There was that one moment I closed my eyes and I heard his laughter and voice again.
"Soo, what are you doing standing there?"
I opened my eyes to Hana's voice, and without having to look, I knew that Minjee and Kyungsoo was also there.
"Nothing." I lied. "Just breathing in sea air. I missed it so much that I can't help it."
"Is that true?" Minjee asked knowingly. "Knowing you, I'm sure this place only reminds you of one person."
I wanted to open my mouth and deny but Hana already beat me to it. "Glad you haven't really forgotten him." How could I?
"Yeah." Kyungsoo agreed. "I'm sure Jongin would have liked to be here too, with us. Unfortunately he can't make it."
My heart started jarring over my chest at the thought of Jongin not making it. Does he still hate me? Was he only avoiding me? Or was he only too busy not to make it? I hope he was just busy.
