Chapter 18: Babies and Suspicion

 Before they knew it, school was in session again. Instead of leaving, Ji Ah and Kai stayed.

They didn't want to leave and wanted to stay for the school year. The both of them transferred

to your school. Ji Ah was in your grade and Kai was a senior. Kai has made good friends with

DongWoo and Hoya. Ji Ah was close with WooHyun.

On the first day back, the three of you walked to school together. When they arrived, they all

went to their separate ways to their classes. When you got to your class, L was already there.

“ Long time no see,” he chuckled.

“ I saw you yesterday,” you replied.

“ I know. What a long time ago..” he said. I chuckled.

Soon the teacher came in and called attendance. First class that day was science. You walked

to science with SungYeol and L.

“ Okay class, today we will be learning genetics. But before we do the lesson, we are going to

start with an exercise. Partner up and draw how your baby would look like!,” she said.

“ Let's be partners!” SungYeol said. You nodded.

“ You're my partner,” L said and took you away. You had no other choice because you were still

his slave.

“ Now you can be my partner!” Jae Hwa said.

“ Why would I want my baby to look like you?” SungYeol said.

“ Why not?” she asked.

“ Why would I want my baby to be ugly and fat?” SungYeol asked.

“ YOU! I can be called ugly, but NEVER call a girl fat!” Jae Hwa shouted and stomped away.

“ Guys, there is an unequal amount of boys and girls in this class. Two boys will have to partner

up,” Ms. Jung said. The two people left were WooHyun and SungYeol. They hi-fived and started

drawing.

30 minutes later..

“ We will now present our 'children'”, Ms. Jung said.

“ SungYeol and WooHyun?” Ms. Jung said. They to the front of the classroom and showed the

class their picture.

The whole class including the teacher started laughing.

“ A +” Ms. Jung said.

In the bathroom..

Jae Hwa's POV

I just wanted people to like me.. In all the dramas, the pitied ones always ended up with their

loves. All the ugly ones became Cinderellas. Everyone liked the nerds because they were smart

and had 'internal beauty'. The strong ones that endured all the bad names thrown at them were

loved. Why aren't I? Why?

Why am I not the Cinderella? Where is my fairy tale ending? I even made myself ugly in order

for others to pity me. What did I do wrong?

I just sat on the toilet, crying. What do I do now?

Third Person POV

That night..

Infinite was called to their hideout by Big Bang.

“ Have you guys been hanging around Ikeda's _____?” TOP asked.

“ Who?” SungGyu asked.

“ _____,” TOP responded.

“ Never heard of her,” Hoya said.

“ But-” Dae Sung started.

“ You guys can go now,” G Dragon said. They left.

On the way home, L couldn't help but realize the name sounded really familiar. Then he

remembered..

“ I choose ____,” Ji Ah said. Your eyes widened.

“ Who?” I asked.

“ I said Yuki,” Ji Ah said. I nodded.
