Chapter 13: Foreign Foods and Ice Cream

It was already the second day of winter vacation. I spent my first day playing Tetris.. Okay

fine.. I was yelling at the computer..

Mini Flashback:

“ Tetris,” the computer said as I got another combo, “Tetris”

“ I KNOW WHAT GAME I'M PLAYING!” I shouted at it.

“ Tetris,” the computer repeated.

“ I STILL KNOW WHAT GAME I'M PLAYING! IF I DIDN'T, I WOULDN'T BE PLAYING IT!” I

screamed at the computer again and face palmed myself.

So today, I'm not playing.. Kai and Ji Ah are still here. They sleep for a long time.. Is there that

many things to dream about? Anyways, when they wake up, we're going to go to the park! It

snowed last night.. so we're going to go have a snowball fight! I haven't had a snowball fight

since I was 10.. a good 7 years ago.. It feels good to be free these days.

I'm hungry.. Time for breakfast! I call for the maid to get make me scrambled eggs. Usually I

make my own food, but I have to wake up Kai and Ji Ah. It's already 10:30 AM. Why won't

they wake up?

I walk into Kai's room and see him asleep sideways with his quilts scattered and him mumbling

the lyrics of Oh! By SNSD. Oh Oh Oh Oh Oppa Saranghae!, he sang. I rolled my eyes and

grabbed his ear.

“ WAKE UP!” I screamed. He just moved around a little.

“ OMG SNSD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?” I screamed next. Then he shot up wide awake.

“ WHERE? WHERE?,” he screamed while looking around.

“ Good, you're up,” I said as he glared at me.

“ I thought SNSD was really here..” he said as he got up. I laughed and proceeded to Ji Ah's

room.

I walked in and it was full of SHINee posters. She was only here for a week and she brought

ALL of her SHINee posters and albums. She was afraid of people stealing it when she was

away. Personally, I don't think robbers would steal that unless they are SHINee fanboys..

“ Ji Ah, wake up!” I whispered, and she woke up. Oh how Kai and Ji Ah are so different..

“ Good Morning,” she yawned.

“ Good Morning,” I said back. She looked at me strangely.

“ I was talking to Minho..” she said. I blinked twice. What?

“ Oh, okay then..” I said.

“ Good morning to you too,” she said.

“ Good morning to you..?” I said. She looked at me strangely again.

“ I was talking to the rest of SHINee..” she replied. Oh.. This is awkward..

“ Okay then.. Get dressed, we're going to the park soon. I heard it's going to rain later and

melt all the snow away,” I said.

“ Okay,” she replied and was about to take her pants off.

“ Wait. One more thing,” I said.

“ What?” she asked.

“ Doesn't it get uncomfortable with 'Minho' watching you change?” I ask.

“ Not really..” she replied and pushed me out of the room. How rude..

I walk to the dining table and find Kai eating a sandwich with brown stuff in between it. I

wonder what it is..

“ What is that?” I ask Kai.

“ It's called Peanut Butter..” he said.

“ What's peanut butter?” I ask him.

“ I don't know. Mom brought it back.. It's foreign..” he said. I nodded and ate my eggs. When Ji

Ah came out, she ate some other thing that is foreign as well. It was called 'Nutella'.

When we were all done eating, we got in our jackets and went outside. One I walked out, a

breeze went by and the smell of winter filled my nose. I took in the sight of the snow

everywhere, and smiled. It's so beautiful.I looked at Kai and Ji Ah. Apparently, they agreed

with me.

Then we raced to the park. I lost because I haven't been training lately.. So I had to go buy ice

cream for them.

“ One vanilla cone and one chocolate cone please,” I said while reaching out money from my

pocket. Where did it go..? I looked through all my pockets. When I finally found it, the ice

cream man someone paid already and left with the ice cream. He pointed to a tall man walking

down the road with a black jacket.

I ran after the man with my money. When I caught up to him, I tapped on his shoulder. Then

he turned to look at me.

“ SungYeol?”
