The noises in the surrounding seem to fade and the only sound Lyn heard was her own uneven breathing. Her head was spinning, was burning, her legs were losing strength; there’s only one thing that kept her running – Junhyung.

The all-too-familiar smell that hospitals have, the brightness of the fluorescent lights above, the stillness of cold air, the whites of the wall; they did nothing but to elevate the fear and nervousness that are already overwhelming Lyn.

Dongwoon and Kikwang both sat with their heads hung low, looks of worries clearly etched on their faces. Hyunseung is pacing the narrow corridor that they are in, giving away his anxiousness that was masked behind his façade of calmness. Yoseob and Doojoon were at the receptionist’s area, making phone calls and settling the administrative issues. Lyn can’t express her gratitude of having the boys with her. She wasn’t sure if she was capable of doing anything else. As weak as she may sound, Junhyung is all that she can think of now.

Her eyes darted towards the bright green sign above, which signals that the operation was still on-going. It has been 5 hours. Time seemed an eternity for Lyn.

‘Please,’ she prayed as she cupped her face in her hands, ‘Please let Junhyungie be fine.’
