MAY 7, 2013 — Tuesday DAY SIXTY-SEVEN   I woke up earlier than usual this morning, and surprisingly, I could not go back to sleep. So I end walking around the campus, letting my feet take me anywhere while my mind wanders off to last night's events. And for some reason, a part of me keeps on telling that Subin still might have feelings for Baekhyun buried deep in the corner beneath the fear and denial inside her heart. Last night, Subin got drunk, but not drunk enough to pour her feelings out mindlessly and cry. It's the sobered kind of drunk where things suddenly got downright plain serious when we got back to our dorm.    “You know, back then...” Subin spoke softly and slowly as she sat down on her bed. “When he kissed me.. I thought Baekhyun might have liked me romantically even for a bit.”   I sat down beside her, resting my hand on her shoulder comfortingly whereas she stared at the ground.    She broke the silence as she continued. “But I guess I was wrong. I was a ing rebound.”   “It's not like that..”   Subin's eyes trailed upward to look at mine. She's surprisingly calm, no trace of sorrow nor hurt. “Soojin, after all those years without an apology or explanation, I wanted a closure of whatever happened between us.”   I stayed quiet, encouraging her to continue.   “But now that I got my closure, I think I'm better off not knowing.”   I kick a random pebble on the pathway with my hands inside the pockets of my hoodie. Pulling the hood over my head, I continue walking until I reach a kiosk. After thanking the girl over the cashier and grabbing my coffee, I turn around only to meet a person's eyes staring at mine.    “Soojin.” Jongin says in surprise.    I wave at him with a smile. “Hey.”   Jongin takes a step forward towards the cashier, handing a bottle of energy drink and a few bills. I stand there by the side, feeling a tad bit awkward as I wait for him. Then I remember the coffee in my hand. Jongin turns to me, “What are you doing here?”    Sipping from my drink, I shrug at him, before answering, “Just having a morning walk.”    Jongin hums in response, grabbing his drink and change from the cashier. He moves closer to me before gesturing to walk along with him. “You wanna head straight to class?”    “Sure.” I nod. Putting my empty hand in my pocket, I ask him as we pass by a few students walking around the area as well, “What about you? What are you doing out here this early? I thought you hate mornings.”    Jongin chuckles as he uncaps his energy drink. “Kyungsoo woke me up earlier than usual just because I always end up running late during Tuesday's and Thursday's.”    “True.” I nod thoughtfully, looking around the place. After a minute of silence, Jongin nudges me. “How's Subin?”    “The is still asleep, snoring like a pig.” I reply playfully. Jongin laughs while I continue, “Probably gonna have a hangover once she wakes up and since I'm such a good roommate, I already prepared her meds.”    “Aw, how thoughtful.” Jongin responds sarcastically, a smile still etched on his gorgeous face.
