  NAM JI YOON   " Anyeonghaesayo noona " I'm covered my mouth as soon as I'm seeing my little brother entering my office. Why he's here though ? I thought he really hates to step on the Paradigm Cooperation ? It must be something important he wanted to tell me.   " Woohyun-ah "   +++   " Please drink the coffee " I invited him while take a sip of coffee. The taste is sweeter than before and it’s maybe because my brother is in front of me right now. It is not that I miss him , I’m just want to see him.   " No thanks I've drink just now " he really likes to act cold and I hate it very much. But , his cold acts makes everyone feel more attracted towards him like it makes him more manly and matured.   " It's so weird to see you inside this building " I put back the cup on the small plate.   " I'm also feel weird of myself but we need to settle things down " I really hope he was here to accept father's proposal to be a successor of Paradigm Corporation because we really needs him right now. After Myung Soo departure, the operation of company seems imbalance.   " What is it ? " I’ve changed into cross legged position as the situation become more intense.   " Drop the case " I don’t know exactly what case he’s talking about but I think I can get the picture. The center of the picture is Kim Myung Soo.   " Ne ? " what case ? he chuckles. He must know I’m pretending not to know everything.   " Whatever you claimed towards Kim Myung Soo , please drop it . I knew this is all your games " where the hell he knew about this ?  I have to pretend like I’ve never heard about it before. I have to lie , lie and lie .   " What are you talking about ? " urghhh ! I stuttered.   " You know exactly what I'm talking about and stop looking down if you're saying the truth ! " Urghhh again he knew my weakness! Damn it.  I don’t think I can lie anymore.   " You  know I can't do anything if father and mother involved too !! " I’m being rational. I knew I’m stronger when facing our parents than Woohyun but this time I feel so useless. They starts to use people that I love as a bait for me to do their dirty plan and I’m here don’t have any choice other than just follow everything they said.   Silent . He knew what I was talking was right.  

  NAM WOO HYUN   Silent .   She was right .   ".. and why suddenly you cared about Myungsoo ? I thought you guys fight for the same girl " he asked me while folding her arms. I cared about him because I care. Is it wrong ? I should have focus and care more about him since our child era but because of our parents that hates Myungsoo’s parents so much , I don’t think I can do much. I’m only seeing him when my parent gave his family some money and when his parents dead. About fight for the same girl , it is not an issue because we’re not fighting at the first place. We both love the same girl and Ya Na chose me so full stop.   " Yes we are and I won " I told her while showing the engagement ring. It is not that I want to show off but I want to make everything become clear.   " Ne ? You guys are going married ? " she was in aghast I think as her voice contains some confusion.   " Ne . Well , back to the topic . I hope you will do it " I told her while standing up straight facing a door and I'm ready to leave. I can’t wait here any longer because I’m afraid I’ll changed my mind.   " What makes you think I'll do it ? " It is not that I think you'll do it but I'm sure you'll do it.   Not facing her back , smile proudly and said ;   " This the only option left if you want me to be the next successor for Paradigm Corporation " with that , I left her room proudly as If I won lottery. Lee Ya Na , I can't believe myself that I followed your plan .   " Wait ! Woohyun-shi " someone called me and when I turn around I saw Soo Jung. I can’t deny that she is very pretty but no one can compete with my Ya Na.   " Oh , Soo Jung-ah "   " Hmmm, are you free after this ? I want to have a dinner with you if you didn't busy " it has been a long time a women asked me to eat dinner together.   " I would love to but I have to go home  after this  because I have dinner with my family " her delightful smile gone after I said that. She must felt disappointed when I reject her request but I don’t have any other choices I guess.   " But we will have dinner together later perhaps ? I'll bring my son and my wife along  " I told her and smiles widely.   " Sounds cool ! I ..."   Kring Kring Kring   " Hmm..I want to answer my call for a while " I told her and she nods.   " Hello " it's Sungyeol.   " You should come to the hospital . Ya Na is critical "   " What ? " I answered him weakly. Why he makes sounds ‘ critical’ so easy ? What is happening ? This morning she is completely healthy but just now I received a news that she was critical ?   " Woohyun-ah , what happened ? Your face is so pale " I heard Soojung question but I don't have energy to answer it.   " Ya Na "   +++   I really hate this kind of feelings when you feel really worried about someone that you loved. You’ll be thinking what should I do ? If she’s alright , I’m more than happy but what if the opposite thing happened ? Minguk and I ? I can’t afford to think more because the more I think , the more worried I am.   " Nurse , where's ..." before I can asked her about Ya Na's where about someone cuts me.   " Woohyun-ah " Sungyeol shout my name while running towards me.   " Sungyeol-ah , where is Ya Na ? What happened to her ? " I talk speedily like a train and hope he understand it. He showed me worried face and I knew what I was asking about.   " You're very lucky to have her in your life " what's with his saying ?   " What are you talking about ? You don't answer my question"   " There are patients who have been poisoned when eating a chocolate and we don't know what the poison is. So , in order to know it ..." no way . Don't say Ya Na eat that chocolate.   " She eat the chocolate " I release a deep sigh when I heard that. How can she have that kind of courage?   " You don't have to worry now because she was stable " I nod repeatedly because I feel so relieved. I can't afford if something bad happened to her. Why is it very hard for Ya Na to stay healthy ? Last 6 years, after a month I know about her , I found out that she has broken heart syndrome. Then ,  after we met again , she's been stabbed from a stranger just to save a patient’s life and now what ? She almost killed herself just to know the cure ? I don't know what probably would happened 5 years later if she only think about other people and never think about herself.   +++   " Ya ya-ah " this time I called her with a pet name and she smiles weakly. As hospital’s bed is second home for Ya Na , I didn’t feel nervous when I want to see her.  It is not like I’m tired, but I knew she was strong and she can took care of herself. " Where's Minguk ? " you better watching yourself rather than busying about other people.   " Mother is still at house remember ? " I told her while sitting beside her and clasp her hand tightly.   “ Oh ,yeah” she’s missing him.   " I'm begging you please don't do this anymore " I told her and she smile again.   " It's okay. You don't have to worry about it " it's really hurt when I see her pale lips smile at me again and again. Then I kiss her wrist and told her,   " I love you "   " Thank you for loving me and can you do me a favor? "   " As long as you're not requesting for the moon and the Sun " she's grinned.   " I want to go home . I want to rest at home "  I’m happy when she said that . It means she loved our house more than everything.   " Yes let's go . You will rest at home then Minguk and I will take care of you lovingly until you don't want leave the house " her blossoming smiles makes my heart flutter not matter how much I looking at it. It sounds cheesy but it is the truth that you yourself can't deny.   I can’t expect that I stood up , lean forward , close my eyes and kiss her pale lips. The position might be awkward but who knows my kiss makes Ya Na fell her tears as she closed her eyes. This is not the first time but the feels never change even though she’s not wearing her favorite lipstick – Etude House Jelly Lips ( Sweet Plum Candy ) . Well, I chose the lipstick for her so that’s why I can remember the name.  When her lips touched mine, it feels like in the middle of happy and sad . People may kiss as a sign of lust or they getting but we’re not.  We usually kiss when we wants to comfort ourselves and it is the other way to tell each other that ‘ Don’t worry , I’m here for you’ .  

NAM JI YOON   " What ??? !! " I told them about the good news and as expected they were flabbergasted.   " You are not kidding aren't you ? " my father asked me while putting down a book that he has been read. The book titled ‘ How to Succeed in Business Without Lying, Cheating Or Stealing’ . Like seriously ? I thought that is the way we are living now .   " I'm serious but like always you have been teaching the family , it must have a condition " his bright smiles faded away after I told him. He knew that I was provoked him.   " What is the condition ? " this time my mom asked me. Her eyes glistening and I hate that . I hate seeing she’s feeling happy. I hate seeing she’s got what she wants.   " Drop Myungsoo's case and after that your precious son would hold the position of Director " both of their eyes widened and looking at each other after they received the message. I knew it is hard for them to release Myungsoo just like that but they don't have any choices I guess ?   " Since both of you want to think about it a little bit longer , I would like to take a rest upstairs " I bow to them and move towards staircase but before that I forgot to say..   " Aboji , Woohyun might come to this house anytime he wants so you have to be careful so that he won't caught you cheating on him about your illness "   " Nam Ji Yoon !!! " usually people feel guilty if they made their parents feel sad or angry but not me.   I feel satisfied.  

  JUNG SOO JUNG   " My sister ! " I greet my sister who was lying on the hospital bed. She looks weak and I hope she will get better soon.   " Unnie !!! " she drop the book that she has been read and hugs me tightly.   " Why you're seldom coming here ? You did not love me aren't you ? "  her voice changed from the last time I came here.   " Yah ! How can you said that to me ? You're the only one whom I loved and you know that " I told her and she's pouting cutely.   " I'm sorry " she said and I forgive her.  Then I took a basin and fill up with water at the toilet. After that , I took small towel in the drawer and soak it with the water.  This is the usual routine when I meet her . We both lose our own mother and I’m the most suitable person to take care of her. No need to mention about dad. Everything that he cared is his business and money.   " Give me your hand " I wipe her arms slowly. My eyes suddenly fall onto the book that she has been read . The titled caught me goose bumps – Second Chances.   " How do you feel now ? " my 14 years old sister was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia when she was 5. She's been doing numerous surgery including bone marrow and stuff.   I feel happy when there's a kind person wanted to donate her kidneys for Soo Young. Doctor said it was miracle for Soo Young to stay healthy until today. I knew she is a strong girl  . Last few week , her kidneys starts to malfunction because of side effect from chemotherapy.    " I'm feel much better when I see you here " how can I do not love her even though I hate her mother ? She is cute and sincere girl that I've been met. Now, the only part undone  to wipe is her face.   " Unnie , when will you bring your boyfriend to meet me ? You're near 30's but still didn't get a boyfriend? " I can't help but smiles towards her question and continue wiping her left cheek. After she asked that , the only person in my mind is Nam Woo Hyun.   " Do you still waiting for Myungsoo oppa ?"  I stopped doing my job completely when I heard his name.   " No , I'm not and please stop talking about this " I told her as I stop wiping her body. Then , I went to bathroom to clean up the towel. Even though my body did that but my mind is not.   I know who is the real Kim Myung Soo are and I hate him . He told me that he loves me but at the end he left without told me anything. How is that fair for me as someone that loves him so much? I'm glad he was arrested for breaching the contract though. However , part of me believed that he won't do such thing but everything is proven right ? Suddenly I remembered again about a guy named Nam Woo Hyun. I really like his character especially the way he treat his son. Dr.Lee was so lucky to have him in her life.   " Soo Young-ah , you want to eat anything ? " I asked her as I wipe my wet hand with pink handkerchief that I got from my late mother. It’s written my name on there where she sewed by herself. Not a single day I miss bring the handkerchief because I believed it was more than handkerchief. Whenever I feel nervous , I’ll grab onto it until I feel calmed.   " No I'm not. Unnie , do you know Dr.Lee Ya Na ? " yeah I know . She is my rival .   " I know her why ? " Now I know Dr.Lee was so popular.   " Today she became hero for the hospital . Did you know she ate chocolate that has poison just to know what the treatment that is suitable for the poison. She is cool right ? "   " Yes she is " I hardly agreed because I was jealous of her.   " Now , I feel more confident to live because she is my surgeon for the operation " I smiles widely when I heard that from her. It is very rare to see her happy like this after she was diagnosed with AML.  She’s even suffering more after her mother’s death .   " Good you feels like that " I kiss top of her head because I was proud of her.   " Besides , I want to be a doctor like her "   " Woah , really ? Then, you have to be healthy understand? " she nods excitedly.   " That's my sister "     LEE YA NA   " Minguk-ah , how is it ? Is it delicious?  " I asked him who busily eating the kimbap that Sungyeol gave him. He smiles and nods repeatedly while doing thumbs up. Supposedly, I should give the kimbap to him last night but because we were busy eating dinner outside , I forgot about it.   " Omo , my son is so cute " I pinched his chubby cheek.   " Well , it’s because of me " Woohyun interrupt while feeding a spoon of fried rice. What he meant by that? He wants to say Minguk is cute like him ?   " Ah , please. I hope that Minguk would not be a short guy like you " he sighed . I know he hates someone called him short.   " I hope Minguk would not be so kind like you " okay , that’s too much !   " What ? You short namu !!! " I .   " Big eyes !!! " he humiliate me.   " Fake nose !! " I'm humiliating him back.   " Small feet !!! " how he knew I have small feet ?   " False boldness !!! " my last weapon .   " Omma !! Appa !!
