January, 29, 2015 (Baekhyun gets away).

Although it's below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, Baekhyun keeps his hood down. He doesn't want Chanyeol to pass by him, and it's already hard to see through the brush he's standing in. He's 15 minutes early and he knows it, but there's something he needs to do before he starts his new life.

In his hand is a half crumpled cardboard box. It's Red Label Marlboro, just like he likes. Three cigarettes have been crushed from the way he's clenching his fist around the weak material, but it's okay because he only needs one.

As the smoke is inhaled he silently apologizes to Luhan for the stench he's had to put up with for three years. Regardless of how much Baekhyun smoked, Luhan always sat close to him. He'd never complain nor ask Baekhyun to move away a bit.

There's a lot Baekhyun would like to say to Luhan before he leaves, but it's just too late.

There's a silver minivan pulling around the curve and he knows it's Chanyeol's mother's minivan that he must have stolen. It makes Baekhyun laugh at how poorly put together their plan is. They have the rest of both of their tuition money, a stolen van, and a six pack of Budweiser. Baekhyun only brought the six pack along to make them look older in case they were pulled over, but now that he thinks about it; all it means is more trouble.

The minivan stops abruptly in front of where Baekhyun is standing, and the screeching of the tires makes him throw down the cigarette in a hurried manner; hoping Chanyeol didn't see.

There's a smile on Chanyeol's face as he helps hoist Baekhyun's things into the vehicle. It's half out of nervousness, and half because Baekhyun's nose is Rudolf red because of the cold.

Chanyeol pulls Baekhyun in for a kiss before either can get back into the car. It's the most innocent kiss they've shared considering the lack of tongue and the presence of clothing.

“I saw you smoking that cigarette, and I can taste it. What am I going to do with you?”

“Love me, I hope.” It's cheesy, and they both laugh because of it. However they relish in the moment, because hard times are ahead and neither is prepared for them.

February, 1, 2015 (Missing people).

Chanyeol's mother calls him every day. Baekhyun is pained by the way Chanyeol looks as he ignores her calls. He wants Chanyeol to answer her calls, but he doesn't want their paradise to be over yet.

They're in a diner looking at the flickering TV when they see their own faces. A missing person's report has been filed on both of them and there's even a reward for locating them. It feels as though they're fugitives, but they consider themselves lucky because neither the stolen money nor van has been brough
