At night Luhan is woken up by the sound of dogs outside his window. Sehun has taken to holding his hand, but nothing more, to calm him. They're still looking for Baekhyun and Chanyeol on the school grounds.

Children whisper about a crashed car and several articles of clothing being found, but no bodies. Among the clothing are two yellow uniforms with the Westerbury insignia.

Luhan doesn't believe in God, but he prays that God is real. He prays that Baekhyun believed, and that Baekhyun prayed as well.

Mostly he prays that Chanyeol is safe. Baekhyun is strong. He could survive smoke in his lungs. He already knew what it felt like to live his life not able to breathe.

Luhan has never met nor heard of Park Chanyeol. He doesn't know how strong Chanyeol is.

Baekhyun knows Park Chanyeol, and though Baekhyun is strong; no one can survive with half of themselves missing.

February, 2, 2015 (76 days before death).

Luhan is sitting alone in the library when someone taps on his shoulder. It's a boy with a round face and sharp canines. Luhan can hear that the boy is apologizing for something, but he is still smiling. Before the boy leaves, he says that his name is Minseok.

There is nothing astounding about Minseok, so Luhan forgets his name on his walk back to his dorm.

However, as he is taking off his jacket, he smells coffee beans. It's a bitter smell, but sweeter than cigarette smoke. He knows this smell comes from the boy in the library, and though he can't remember his name; he remembers his smile.

February, 3, 2015 (75 days before death).

Minseok makes another appearance to Luhan. Somehow they've come to a conversation about meeting in the library for lunch, and because Luhan can only think of Baekhyun and the courtyard; he agrees.

They're sitting alone in the building. Everyone else has left with their friends for lunch, or just went to be alone. Minseok has brought the coffee smell again but now it has come in the form of a steaming cafe cup. Luhan can smell that there is no sugar or crème added to the drink. It's bitter, and not the kind he likes, but Minseok sips on it as if it's syrup.

Luhan learns that Minseok is a very animated person. He talks about the things Luhan likes, and even brings up soccer. When Luhan zones out of the conversation, Minseok doesn't try to pull him back. Instead, he continues to talk, and trusts that Luhan has heard every word he's said.

And Luhan has, but he doesn't care. When he's in his mind; testing the limits of his imagination, he only cares about Sehun. He's aware of
