Just boring to make time go by
Hospital HappinessYour friends were acting really grumpy when you arrived to school the following day, but when you told them you were going on a date the instantly forgave you.
“You’re going on a date!?” Yoona exclaimed with a happy face.
“Wow ~~~~~, that’s great. You’re finally doing something for yourself,” Hyoyeon praised you while smiling widely. You shyly returned their smiles, without saying anything.
“But… what will Jonghyun say about this?” Hyoyeon asked as she turned back to her food. You looked at her in confusion.
“Jonghyun? What about him?”
“Well, you have kind of been dating him,” Yoona said.
“Have not. He’s been paying me, and my Boss, for these “dates”. That does not count,” you said unquestionably. Your friends didn’t argue with you and you returned into your little Gikwang-bubble.
Gikwang called you later that night. The phone call went very smooth and Gikwang was very polite. You decided to meet at the plaza down town on Sunday forenoon.
“Who was that?” Taeyeon asked when you hung up.
“Gikwang,” you said with a small smile.
“Gikwang oppa? Are you going on a date?” Taeyeon asked as a smile started to spread across her face. You blushed and nodded.
“How cute. Tell him I said hi.” Taeyeon went into your room to do her homework.
“Who is this Gikwang boy?” your mother asked.
“I met him at the hospital. He’s very nice,” you said.
“And the two of you are going out?”
“Not yet. It’s our first date this weekend.”
“Oh. Well, good luck!” your mother smiled and turned away. “I hope his situation is better than ours…” You stiffened a bit at her last sentence. You were sure your mother didn’t mean for you to hear what she had said. But you did, and it was hard on you.
